Her Graduation Wishlist

My little darling, Yuri, will be graduating from kindergarten this July 16, 2021. Since it's pandemic, we will have a virtual ceremony which until now I can't imagine how will it go and we are still waiting for the teacher's call and update.

When she learned about it even before her picture taking last Friday, without me knowing she already have plans in her mind. One morning, we were having a breakfast and my older sister joined us. And here it goes:

Tita: Yuri what are graduation plans? Will you have rewards and speech?

Yuri: Yes Tita! I am planning to have macaroni and cheese and you will be the one to cook it Tita because mommy don't know how to cook that one. She only know how to make macaroni salad and spaghetti.

Tita: Oh okay! Make sure I will just cook it ha, I won't buy for the ingredients.

Yuri: Make a list if ingredients then and Mommy will buy it when she goes to the grocery.

Tita: How about your other Titas and Titos, what will they give you?

Yuri: Tito Crisley will buy me cake!

Tita: Are you sure? Did he agree?

Yuri: I will yet to tell him.

Tita: You should confirm it first,he might not agree!

Yuri: If he will not buy then Mommy will just buy it for me.

Tita: Oh okay!

Then Tita leaves because she has another meeting. Then I asked Yuri, oh you have plans? Why didn't you tell Mommy about it? It's a SURPRISE MOMMY, she said. Come evening of that same day, the said topic was again brought out and Yuri grabbed a paper and pencil and write. After a while, she showed it to me the list of her graduation wishlist and here it goes:

Yes, it was addressed to my youngest sister who happens to be her favorite Tita as she always claims. My Ate, older sister, always tease her that she is Yuri's favorite not Tita Ching and that maybe she is just shy to confirm but Yuri is firm with her answer even if Ate will give her a Php 1,000. 😄😄😄

The next day, she handed over the list to her Tita Ching and but the latter said, no your Mommy will just cook banana cue, fishball, kikiam, and french fries for your graduation. But Yuri said, no I will be the one graduating so my choices should be followed. 😂😂😂

How time flies! It feels like only yesterday she was inside my womb, kicking and swimming but now she's 6 and just like that she finished kindergarten! She is becoming smarter and prettier as day goes by and it makes me excited and scared at the same time. Excited because she has this beautiful dream that she pictures in her mind at a very young age. She has this wisdom and wit that even us are surprised. I am also scared because I want to keep her that baby stage a little longer. I am afraid that soon she will already ask for my permission to go out with friends, she will no longer ask mommy to go with her at the beach, to the park and sleep beside her.

But I will not dwell on that scared part for now. I will deal with that one when I get there. For now, I will spend more quality time, nurture her love, be with her, listen to her, support her with everything that she enjoys and wants to do. I will fill her heart and mind with memories that she will bring as she grows and ready to spread her wings.
