A different kind of foresight

It's been weeks since I last had a phone call with my former officemate. Coincidentally, I was thinking of him this morning as his 30 days resignation notice is about to end. Speaking of, do you that talent or sense wherein out of the blue you thought of someone else or a person just popped-up to mind without any reason then in a day or two you will bump into each other or you'll see her/him somewhere?

I think I have that kind of sense and most of it applies to the local celebrities which is quite funny and unusual. The first time that it happened to me was when Patrick Garcia, a former matinee idol back in the 90's. From a super busy and back to back projects in a giant tv network, he suddenly took a break for maybe a year. One time I was watching a Sunday variety show when for no reason I thought of him and asked when will he come back and be visible on tv again. Then after two days, a news came out that he will again have a new show but in other network😊.

Another one was when ABS-CBN was shutdown and for months Piolo Pascual, my super favorite actor, has no show as in zero. I just saw him in his ig posts or in facebook but not on tv performing or acting. Every Sunday I am glued in watching this noontime show, which brings this concert feels everytime all the artists perform. Again out of the blue, I thought of Piolo and when will I ever see him sing again. Evening of that day, I saw a post in IG a new poster of their show in another network🤦.

It's kinda weird, right? But, I cannot help it. Everything just popped-up and I find it funny because why on earth it has to be about celebrities?😄😄 Maybe because I love watching tv and before I can watch all primetime soap-operas of ABS-CBN.

And going back, this morning I was thinking of this former officemate but I did not had the chance to call or text him because I became so busy the whole day. And it shocked me that just tonight, he called me and was asking for my advice because he had series of interviews and he was weighing things which one he'll be going to pursue. Then he updates me what's keeping him busy this pandemic. It was a nice feeling knowing that I still matter to him despite the fact that we are no longer colleagues.

This weird foresight of mine is undeniably cute. At least the ones I was able to foresee are not those who would call or text me and ask me to join a networking company or sell beauty products that I don't even know how to use.😊
