Casa Batlló is a house in Barcelona designed by Antonio Gaudi and built between 1905 and 1907. It is situated at Pase Pa de Gracia (Passeig de Gràcia) no. 43. The population of Barcelona is called Casa dels ossos (house of bones), a somewhat less external structure reminiscent of the structure of the skeleton. It was designed as a middle-class family house.
The house is a typical example of Gaudí's architecture. Irregular shapes dominate the architecture of this building. A large part of the facade is covered with mosaics made of broken ceramic tiles, which is called trenkadis, a technique that is very typical for almost all of Gaudi's works. The roof is arched and resembles the back of a dragon (the dragon is one of the typical symbols of Gaudí's architecture).
Barcelona is a beautiful city in Spain.I never visited that city but maybe I will one day. This house looks very interesting.
