Update on my son's health condition

Thursday last week when we decided to take our son for a check-up. I've written an article about it if you wish to read it just click meeeh.

This time I will update your familice about the health condition of my son after that check-up and after taking all the needed medication needed.To be honest,we had a hard time na painomin ng gamot ang anak ko(it's hard to let him drink his med).Especially since most of his medicine tastes bitter especially the Azithromycin or the antibiotics for his phlegm. The only way to make him drink it is to mix it with his milk. He needs to drink Salbutamol also 3x a day and that's one of his medicine that he doesn't like the taste of it. It tastes a bit bitter and something cool. We already tried to add it to his milk one time but he didn't drink his milk because he knows we added something to it. Since the color of the medicine is pink and he notices the changes in the color of his milk. I ended up throwing his milk.

However, we need to find ways and tricks for him to drink his medicine. I bought some lollipops for him to have something sweet before and after drinking his medicine. We call his medicine juice so he will think it's a juice but of course, we can't deny that medicine tastes bad that's why most kids don't like taking it.

He had to drink 2 kinds of Asthma controllers, one of them is in Syrup and the other one is powder type. The Prednisone is the syrup one but it also tastes a bit bitter., there was a time when I let him take it while he was drinking his milk, I have to use a dropper so he can drink it properly and not spit it out. He suddenly said Mama, No No juice. My son can't talk longer words yet or sentences, he can only say 2 to 3 words in a row. So last Tuesday was the last day for drinking the 2 of his medicine. We also needed to apply some herbal plants for his Panuhot of his Piang so he won't keep coughing at dawn time. Finally, only one medicine left to take since the Montelukast Sodium the other Asthma controller in powder is needed to be taken well for 14 days.

He is feeling better now. After all the sleepless nights taking care of him when he has to cough and mostly puke after. Our bed is usually wet and smells bad. His appetite is slowly back to normal. I still let him drink the Appebon Vitamins and Food Supplements, it helps to have his appetite back.

Ending thoughts

For now, we have to take good care of our son. We have to monitor his movements all the time so his asthma won't attack again. Since it's really hard for us also to see him having a hard time being sick. Well, I can only look after him when I am home from work since most of my time is at work. For now, my husband is the one who looks after him since my daughter is on face to face classes.
