Goodbye Television

I am not a fan of watching television but year 2018, December 26, I decided to buy a television for my Father, who usually goes to his mom's place to watch TV shows. We had a TV before but it was broken now.
I intended to buy a 32 inches Flat screen so dad won't go out at night to watch tv shows at my grandma's place and also for my daughter so she can have some time to watch her favorite cartoon shows. I bought that TV on the day of my birthday. That Tv cost around $240(P12k) but I bought it for $160(P8k) only since it's December and the product is on sale. At least I save some from purchasing it during the Christmas season. Anyway! Thanks to Nick(if you wonder who he is Nick then click Meeehhh) who sent me a Christmas gift and a birthday gift. He sent me 15thousand pesos ($300).5kpesos for my daughter and 10k pesos for me. Since the television costs 8kpesos, I spend the remaining amount to purchase a satellite cable worth 2400pesos.
However, when I got married I had to bring along with me my TV and other appliances. Since we are just temporarily living at the house of Uncle Pino(hubby's uncle). We place our television on Uncle Pinos Divider. I bought a wall bracket for our TV if ever we can finally move to our own house. But sad to say last year our TV started to have 1 line showing on the screen. Then super typhoon Odette devastated our place and our Television got wet. We didn't have electricity for 96 days. We didn't know if our television will still work until we had electricity last March 21, we tested our TV and luckily it's still working but just the one line that's been visible on the screen added more lines. We're worried about it until one day our TV suddenly turns the screen black even if it's turned on. So I guess I have to say that's the end of its service to us. We had that television for 3 years and 4 months. Now we don't have any television at home. It's been useful for my 22 months old son who usually watches his favorite shows from Cocomelon and Peppa pig. At least he's far from the screen. Now he's back to watching it on his Sister's tablet.
Closing thoughts
Since we are still working on building our house, we still don't have a plan to buy a new TV. Well, we have already gotten used to living without the TV at home. We can have more time to spend time together at home, especially at night time.
