My journey in the read.cash blog platform have been amazing and my contribution also a growing one on the website, I have been doing this for 8 months now and during this time things have changed a lot, with the dev team (one man show) doing a marvelous work behind this growing ship, and managed to find an incentive to reward users who contribute most to the site, the read.cash fund (with have the biggest donation by Marc De Mesel with more than $200,000 worth in BCH) and this markable fund have been doing a lot for users.
I believe that the purpose the read. cash platform is to incentive the usage of BCH in the world and is quite reaching that, with plenty accounts being created, with more than 22,000=number of active BCH wallets too, as read.cash is a decentralized wallet, of course not all are active but I have to congratulate the man who brought this idea down read.cash is a great BCH promoter.
But not everything are roses...
Since the inception and conception of the platform, articles about BCH are the ones who got the most Upvotes on them, which is good and shows the interaction on the website relatively to the topic also Posts got a different exposure, but there are things that I have noted with most of BCH articles:
They are basically technical and are related to infrastructure
The articles who got the best Upvotes on BCH community are old successful members of the BCH Community (at some point doesn't make a bit sense to give them this incentives, they already have BCH on their wallets and are well successful people on BCH community)...
It's like putting money on a pot which already is full, and this people won't do any marketing campaign to spread the world neither about BCH or the platform read.cash
They play important role in BCH community which is great and sustain the ecosystem but those amounts in Upvotes received by them normally could be split in many and distribute to many, who actually spread the word about BCH, promote the brand and bring more people to read.cash which is the house of all BCH community, does why I believe this is a bad move concerning the marketing for the BCH.
The other face of read.cash is that one who actually live from the daily fund, and are the ones who, for those pennies work hard, spreading the word about read.cash=spread the word about BCH, are significant part of diffusion of the platform and the project, create and contribute with articles (awesome and very quality ones, of course there are bad ones but majority of the articles at least for elder members are extremely good), but despite all that the hability to get Upvotes is near zero.
This side of read.cash work to get exposure about BCH and people like me who have almost 2,000 fans in different Communist platforms (Publish0x, Uptrennd, Hive...) use this influence to spread the word about BCH and bring more users to get known about this marvelous website.
The Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts who upvote most those technical, infrastructure topic articles must also check the site where other topics are discussed and remember that each part depends from each one to prevail and spread the word about BCH wordwide...
Take this in consideration!
Have a great Sunday read.cashiers.
