Real men
There's no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the definition of a "real man" can vary depending on whom you ask. What it means to be a "real man" can vary drastically depending on culture, location, and era. However, some of the key characteristics that often come up include strength, courage, integrity, toughness, independence, dominance and a commitment to helping others. This could be said of @pantera, @olasquare, @fexonice1 and myself @adereign to name but few.
Real men are also typically unafraid to be themselves, no matter what others may think. They're confident in their own skin, and they don't feel the need to put on a false persona in order to impress others.
Ultimately, real men are those who are comfortable in their own skin and who have a good sense of who they are. They're authentic, and they're not afraid to be themselves no matter what the situation.
There's a lot of talk these days about what it means to be a man. But what do real men look like? What are their characters and identities?
For some, real men are all about power and status. They're the ones who are always in control, always winning. They're the ones who never show weakness, and never let their emotions get in the way.
For others, real men are about being there for others. They're the ones who are always there to help, always willing to lend a hand. They're the ones who never give up, no matter how tough things get.
Then there are those who believe that real men are about living their own truth. They're the ones who never back down from who they are, no matter what society tells them to do. They're the ones who stay true to themselves, no matter what. At the end of the day, real men come in all shapes and sizes.
There's no question that these traits can be empowering - but they can also be quite restrictive, leading to a pressure to act a certain way and conform to certain stereotypes. And for many men, this can be extremely difficult - it can be hard to express emotions, ask for help, or show vulnerability.
At its best, masculinity is about being in control of one's own life and taking charge when needed. But at its worst, it can be destructive and harmful. We need to encourage a more inclusive, healthier version of manhood that celebrates all the different ways that men can be strong.
