Before I start this article I just want to clear not there's nothing wrong in taking good care of ourselves mommies. Infact , we should do this. If we are going to ignore our self care and abused our body , we might experienced stress , burn out or deppresion.
Self care is very important to us moms. It is important because we need to take care of our family. We should be aware on our own health and status. Self care is not all about going to spa or salon or having a massage or other leisure. We can take care of ourselves while taking good care of our love ones as well. We can do that by following this practices.
1. You should take some rest.
Always take some time to rest. Allow yourself to rest even for a short period of time. You can take a break by drinking water or going to sari sari store. I know it's just like a simple act or maybe your thinking that is that you called a break? For us moms , I will said yes. Drinking and pausing for a while and feel the coldness of the water is like a reward to us. Through that we can relax ourselves , to inhale and exhale for a minute. You can also give yourself a time to rest by not doing anything or alone time for yourself. To be honest , as a mom our only me time is when our love ones is already asleep. That's the time that we can rest and relax.
If you feel like you will explore anytime, control yourself and think. Ask yourself , what do I need now just to made me calm? Then do it. You can take a shower , browse the internet. It is not good for us to feel that we are unprivileged into something. It's removes our happiness and this is not good for us and also on the outcome of being a parent to our kids.
2. Eat healthy.
We should eat healthy and eat right. Avoid eating processed food as it is not good in our health. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. I know it is hard for us especially to the one's who are not in a healthy living but it is more better if we practice to eat healthy. If we want to have enough energy for our daily responsibility we should add some fuel to our system.
You can try moringa juice for a lot of source of vitamin C or camote tops for source of iron. By doing this kind of diet you can also encouraged your children to be healthy.
3. Learn to say no if needed.
Our energy has a limit. We should set a limitation on every routine that we need to do. We should focus on our priorities. Say no to the things that cannot help you and say yes to the things that are fullfilling and good for you. Example is that , you can say no to your friend that always ask for too many favors and say yes to your friend who wants to teach you something helpful.
4. Observe yourself when is the time that you feel stressed and irritated.
It can be on noontime when you are having a hard time feeding your child or maybe it can be on night time if your child doesn't want to sleep early. Actually you can do something about it. It's your life and you're the one who's in charge with it. Don't let yourself feel you're the victim. It doesn't help your kids.
You can talk to your partner and you can divide the responsibility between the two of you. If you can be a tandem in make your child sleep then do it. If you are tired in the morning , you can think of ways to be able to decrease the task during mornings like preparing the ingredients on breakfast. You can do it during night time so that you can free some time in the morning.
5. Plan clearly about your me time.
Sometimes , mom's feel guilt if they need to go outside the house and leave thier kids just to go on spa or to relax but it doent mean that you're a bad parent. It is fair to have a time for yourself for you to be strong and have energy and strength for the upcoming days ahead.
Dot feel guilty about it and push your plan to have a me time. Make an schedule and ask a permission to your family.
6. Find some hobby aside from taking good care of our children.
You are always be the same woman before you get married and be a mom. Infact you are more special , more beautiful and more loved. You can still enjoy different things like when you are not married yet. If you love art and crafts , you can learn how to make DIY decorations. If you love sports , you can join Zumba classes.
7. Be thankful.
Problems are part of life and there's always be a solution for that. Problems makes you stressed and being thankful is one of the way to avoid us from stress. “ People who are always grateful are the happy ones.

8. Be a mom to yourself also.
You should give yourself a care and love that you give to your love ones.Talk to yourself , ask yourself if how your day or are you still okay. Give credits to the things that you accomplished and encouragrd yourself also to do better.
