Thankful for the progress.

Our life now is not so convenient when it terms of financial but I must say that gone are days when experience something in the past. A couple of days ago I saw a trending post on Facebook wherein the author said that he got emotional reading the comments section about different experience of the people in the past and they are really grateful that they have a progress.

As I am reading the comments I also got teary eyed and realized that even a simple things need to be grateful for. A little progress is still a progress. I feel very nostalgic while reminiscing the past and grateful for the life that we had. We arent rich but I'm grateful because I feel the progress.

Here's a few childhood experiences that I will never forget.

During my childhood days most of the time if we don't have a budget the 1 PHP snacks serve as a viand.

Deep sea , bangus , kiss , Mang inasal. Are you familiar with this? These are the few 1 PHP snacks that serves as our viand plus tomatoes with fish sauce. Now we can afford to buy other viands and only ate those 1 PHP snacks when we want it.

Eating at fast food chain is not our thing when I was a child. Aside from we are far from the mall, we all can't afford to buy it. I really when I was in college I'm still shy and didn't know how to order at Mcdo. But years has passed when I work in Manila , fast food chain because a daily part of my life and sometimes magsasawa ka nalang.

I don't have any memories back then that I blew some cake on my birthday. Every birthday we are happy if we have some pancit , spaghetti or sopas on our birthday. Now we can afford to buy a cake not only on birthday but also on other celebration like Christmas, new year, anniversary or more.

Speaking of Christmas. Every Noche Buena our food on the table is loaf bread and peanut butter or coco jam. If theres a budget there's a spaghetti or pancit. Now our handa is like that but we have some added food like ham or hotdog.

This is just a few of my gone are the days and I hope we will not experience it again especially my son. Life is hard now but thanks God because we still survive.
