Freelancing journey: The most difficult part is to start.
Because of the market crash and the spreading questions here about our plan B , my anxieties rise up again. Like what I said to my husband what if this site will be gone. I can't imagine my life embracing being a plain housewife.
For users here who are working like mommy Kim , kudo , Mon and others thier life will continue as these is only a side hustling to them.
For users who ares students like Charles , florie , cherry and others thier life will continue to study , graduate and find an opportunity after.
But for mother's like us? Nganga na tayo mga mamsh. Chariz. I know this is not a job but we can't deny the fact that this site really help us in terms of financial. Like me last year we survived the expenses of my husband eye medication because of my earnings here and I will very sad if the day comes that read.cash will say goodbye.
I make an article about my plan B and one of that is to be a freelancer and I want to start it now.
But the question is how to start.. Like you know start is the very hard part especially when you are newbie to the industry or to the field or to that line of career. I worked for a BPO company for almost 5 years before I became a stay at home mom. I have an experience in quality assurance and I am confident in regards with my work but because I will be entering a new field I don't have any idea what to do .
I tried to watch YouTube videos about how to make a curriculum vitae , what I need to put on it and how the clients will be interested on my profile. I use Canva to choose for the template but I didn't finished it because I really don't know what to fill in.
As I watching the youtube videos , the freelancer said that you need to sell or offer you skills to your client which is very contrary to my objectives when I was working. Because typically when I'm applying for a job back them my resume objective is I am looking for a company that will allow me to have a growth something like that but in freelancing it's not the thing. You need to sell your skills to them directly without sugar coating.
Then I asked myself whats my skills that I can offer and sell to the clients. I have an intermediate learning in Microsoft office , I know a little graphic design , I can do data entry , inventory , maybe social media managing because I have 3 pages in Facebook.
But the thing is I don't know how to organized my curriculum vitae.
I want to watch more YouTube videos before doing it again but I am having a hard time focusing because of the two kids. I really want to pursue it and I want to start it now. I signed up to freelancer but my profile is still blank. I will be very thankful if there's a freelancer here who will help me and give me tips on my curriculum vitae haha.
