Last Sunday night I have watch a show on GNTV entitled IJuander and thier topic is all about different types of graves. I found it interesting because here in the Philippines typically the graves are colored white with an RIP on it and a name of the person who died and thier date of birth and also date of death but in some places they discovered different types of graves that is not usual because it's different.

Catacombs of Paris

When we heard about Paris the first thing that comes to our mind is the towel and also the romantic places in Paris but not all the spots there are romantic like this one. It is an underground place where a lot of different skull was store and fix formed like wall.

So there's a story behind this. In 1785 , one of the cemeteries in Paris which is the Saints Innocents Cemetery because crowded and has no longer space for the new corps that's why they decided to transfer the old corps skull in the underground place.

Today it became one of the spots here that can be visited by tourist. There's a lady who accepts the challenge to tour in this underground cemetery and she said , given the fact that there's a lot of skull that makes you scared , the coldness of the place and the silence add more thrilling effect when you visited it.

THE NEW LUCKY RESTAURANT

There's a restaurant in Ahmedabad, India that is unique because there's a grave inside the restaurant. Those green colored rectangular shapes are the graves. Can you eat in this kind of restaurant with graves? There's a Filipino vloggers who went to this place and yeah , it is a bit scary for some thinking that there's a dead body inside. They have best seller food there the bread with butter and ginger tea.

They said the person who buried in that restaurant are Sufi Saints. They are part of the Muslim believer and then the owner decided not to remove those graves because in thier culture eating within the deads presence is a goodluck that why they named the restaurant new lucky restaurant.

The owner assured that this restaurant is clean because they sanitized the tomb daily. So no need to worry about.

The Merry Cemetery

There's a cemetery in Sapanta Romania who didn't look like a cemetery because of the colorful version of the tomb. They also put some witty phrases on it that is based on the life of people who died. For example if the died person is an alcoholic drinker then they put it there. Here's the example of witty phrases that they put on the grave.

Here I rest.

Stefan is my name.

As long as I lived, I liked to drink.

They also paint some pictures in the grave and if you will going to see it , it's not actually like a grave.

Nambaran Cemetery.

This cemetery is located in Kalinga. And like the Merry Cemetery , it's also unique as they created a grave with different design like on this image it's a shoe tomb. They called it panchon. To be honest I didn't understand why they decided to makes the grave like this , but in this cemetery there's a lot of tomb with different design and the design is also based in the personality or work of died person.

For example , the grandmother of the people who interviewed died and they decided to make a tomb with basket design because it's symbolize for the hardwork of her grandmother when she was still alive.

In the Philippines we also have the hanging coffins in Sagada but and Sunken Cemetery that is underwater but I didn't manage to look for them as I only based this article on the show IJuander. If I gave you wrong details please correct me and you have an added details you can comment it.

I decided to write it in that way like it feels that I am writing what I have listened instead of paraphrasing what I saw in Google.

Thank you fro reading.

The Restaurant in the grave room/cemetery baffled me. You know sometimes, we believe things differently and it's normal. The fact that they situated the restaurant inside a grave room so they could attract favour as they eat with the dead is amazing. 🤣
