"The robber"

It was Sunday morning when Mrs. Smith have prepared early so that she can attend the early mass on the church that she was attending. The weather was fine, when the sun was radiantly reflects in Mrs. Smith window which gave her a good mood on that day.

Then, there comes his grandson Jacob, who lived with her. He lost his father when he was 1 year old because of a car accident. He is now studying as a second year Political Science students in the University a few meters away from the the house of his grandma.

Mrs. Smith and his grandson Jacob have ate together a breakfast which is cooked by their driver Mr. Pulley. Who served with them for almost 20 years.

Before they leaved the house, Mrs. Smith have to wear her necklace, it's a white gold and a diamond, it's her only memorable gift from his late husband who died a long time ago. It's shining, but it looks so simple, it cost a million dollars money. She hide it on her dress because it's her way of remembering her husband that he is always with him along the way.

Then, they get in the car and travel going to church with his grandson Jacob. On that morning, they are running too slow because of the traffic on the main road, they waited for an hour before they can reach the church. But, Mr. Pulley they driver took the other way so that they can reach the destination as early as possible. They passed in a place where seems like nobody was living in there, no man around the vicinity, only those few cars that pass by with them.

After a few minutes of traveling there was a woman who stand beside the road and raise her hand as a sign to stop, the woman looks pregnant, and it was screaming in pain. Mrs. Smith told the driver to stop, and they opened the window.

"Please help me, my baby gonna come out, take me to the hospital please Ma'am."

She felt pity with the lady that's why they open the car and let her come in. The woman sat at the back seat while growling in pain. After a while, the woman said, "Pull of the car"., and took her gun inside her dress. The driver didn't stop, but it goes running so fast, while Mrs. Smith was screaming and his grandson was holding her. "Stop the car, Mr. Pulley!, said Mrs. Smith.

" What do you want from us? "

"I want money, cash a lot of money!"

Here is my bag, everything in there, you can take it. The woman opened Mr. Smith hand bag and she found there a $500 dollars, and a purse coin with few cents. Mrs. Smith didn't like to bring cash when she goes somewhere especially when she's going to church, those $500 dollars was supposed to be her Sunday offering of the church.

The lady was discontented and she said that they need to go back to Mrs. Smith house and get some cash or withdraw to money from the bank. Mr. Pulley turn back going home. While Jacob was just sitting there an he is keep on staring at the woman who rob them. Jacob have planned to grab the gun from the woman's that he can saved her grandma but Mrs. Smith didn't allow her to do it.

When they arrived home, the woman get out on the car first, and followed by the driver. But she shoot the driver and it falls down on the ground. Mrs. Smith was trembling and shaking at the moment, she take a deep breath and hold tight with her grandson. They both get out from the car and the woman told them to immediately get inside the house. They walk so fast and the woman locked the main door.

"Go, give me some cash, everything that you have, okay!"

Mrs. Smith opened her volt, but she doesn't have a lot of money because she just paid their house mortgage which cost 1 million pesos, and all of her money was already spent.

She was planning to talk to her and beg that she's not as rich as what she was thinking. But, Mrs. Smith was too late, the woman have tied up her son on the chair on the dining table.

The woman have walked around the house and she's going upstairs while holding her gun. Mrs. Smith took her husband photo and hug it.

The woman knock the door, but, Mrs. Smith took time to open it, that's why the woman shoot the door knob and break it. Mrs. Smith drop on the floor because she was so afraid with gun fire. While she's dropping down, the woman saw her necklace that hang on her neck. It's shining glimmering diamond which attracts.

"That's awesome, give me that."

"What do you want?" Your necklace!

'No, you can't take it away from me, please, that' s the only thing that I Ave, I couldn't afford to lose that one.

The woman grab the Necklace from her neck and said, "This is all I wanted. '

" Do you have anything like this?

"No, I don't!"

The woman was too greedy and he started to look around the house. she opened the the cabinet in which Mrs. Smith put all of their things that are deserved to be kept, lik papers, and some old photos.

The robber have stop for a moment, when she saw the photo album. She take one of the photo of a baby boy. And Mrs. Smith saw the woman that there were tears falling on her face, and she hugged the photo that she found.

She turned to Mrs. Smith and ask her if she know whose the baby in the photo. It's the boy outside that you tied on the chair.

"who are you, Mrs. Smith ask her." He is my son, the woman said.

Your Jacob's mother? yes, I am, why did you end up like this?

"I was forced to do this, because I was serving a gambler and he will kill me if I won't do this."

"Why did you leave her?Because I become an addict, and I can't give him a good life that he deserves that's why I choose to let her father raised him. My life was wasted and I can't afford to take care an innocent baby. I choose to leave because I know that I can't be a good mother to her. My life has been very miserable back then until today.

The woman cried, and she was hugging the photo, while Mrs. Smith have stand slowly from the floor.

" I lost, myself after I gave birth, because I feel disappointed with myself that I wasn't able to reach my dreams because I gave birth.

"I don't know about that, because my son just arrived home with a baby on one morning, that we are having a family party."

Mrs. Smith was trying to comfort the woman, but she was afraid of the gun that she was holding.

While they were talking, Jacob came to her grandma's room and he is about to smashed the woman with a baseball bat, when Mrs. Smith have extend her arms towards Jacob to stop her. He accidentally hit his grandma with the bat.

Jacob cried when he saw her grandma fell down on the floor and her head was bleeding,

"Jacob, you shouldn't hurt her, she is your mother. She's the one that your looking for a long time ago.

The woman come closer to Jacob crying, but Jacob told him to stay back. I don't like you as my mother, God forgave me, but I hate you so much.

The woman hugged Jacob but he was pushing him away instead he hugged her grandmother tightly. Jacob's mother have kneel down and cried so much she's already blaming herself for what had happened. She said that even if she didn't become a good mom to Jacob, but she loved him so much and always long for him for along time that they didn't see each other.

Jacob didn't listened to her, but he said, that she should stop talking because he don't want to listen her talking.

Even if the woman was trying to explain and make herself clear, Jacob didn't want to listen or even pay attention to her.

And her grandmother told him to give her time to talk and let her explain. After a few minutes, the police have arrived and the woman was caught by the policemen. They take her to the police car with a handcuff, she was crying while she was walking. She told the police to just let him see her son for a moment before they will go.

Jacob and her grandma was coming out from the house and the rescue have take them to the hospital to help her grandma.

The police car was moving while the ambulance too, they departed ways on that day.

Jacob and his grandma, have stayed in the hospital for more than a week to make her grandma safe from bleeding.

Being a mother takes courage and denying ourselves, for the sake of our children and family.

That's why if we are already having a baby, what's important that we take responsibility, that is how a woman should be,.
