Pass Your Baton

Life didn't start with you and it might not end with you, if I'm to say it how i feel it would be then I'll say life still has millions of years to go before it comes to an end. However we are running the race presently, its our turn, didn't you know you're already on track, the gun shot has already sounded at birth, maybe because we were so young we didn't hear the start, now we are grown and we can't afford not to run. With each passing seconds to minutes to hours, days to weeks to months and years gone by we keep running. In this race we sleep, in this race we eat, in this race we have a family, in this race we go on vacation and so on, all that are mere occurrences for the race, all we want to see is you passing the baton.

Whenever I say pass the baton, people have often misconcepted it for replicating yourself in your kid, like a son taken after is father or a daughter to her mother, other few would think it has to do with apprenticeship, where someone is disciplined by you , so one day they take after you. Well passing the baton is a touch of both ideology but it goes way beyond that too. Like I earlier said starting and having a family is a mere occurrences in the race, in other words its not the main motive of the race, neither is our jobs the main motive of the race. When we know the main motive of this race, we know the baton to pass.

In a normal race setting, the running currently with the baton is to pass the baton to his team member who is on the same line with him, it can only be one person, but here in real life setting people have passed batons to multiple people at a go, and are still passing. Not to be in church but the greatest baton passer of all times remains my lord Jesus, to imagine how much the religion of Christianity has gotten to the ends of the earth. From one man to the world all in the space of 3 years and what he came to share still remains valid till date, in fact it is presently the anchor of people all over the world now.

Without any doubt if anyone on earth wants to learn how to pass the baton the right way, then Jesus has to be a key personality to study, if being truthful and not trying to be religious mindsetted, then Jesus is one who has shown us how effective passing the baton can be. Others exist that have passed the baton quite well also and worthy of recognition, in no particular other a few of them are Martin Luther king Jr, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Abraham Lincoln and the many others, this exceptional humans didn't just leave through, rather they created so much effect the world can't deny.

What Baton Do I Pass Then

Everyone has a craving, a craving to be special, a craving to stand out and be better, wanting to be known for something, to stand for something, something not necessarily tangible but can be felt. This most people has often mistaken for talents, like I can sing or dance or act so well, so let me reach the world with that, no doubt that can be a medium, but that is not the baton you should pass, already so many supreb talents exist, and many more still would exist, so talents or our arts are not the baton to pass. The right baton to pass is called "Impactation", Touching lives.

So many people exist and not everyone can change everyone, but if more and more people decide to help another person become better, then you're worthy of recognition, you are very much passing the right baton. Take a moment and imagine you creating a job where a someone would be employed and from the salary becomes able to take care of his or her family, train the kids to school, feed, even extend help to his or her siblings. You might think you helped one person but when you really think deep you have helped that full family or wait you have just helped that full generation, cause that educated kids would become educated parents one day who would train others better too.

Good can never be measured guys, it never gets old or out of trend. It is the right baton to pass across, keep passing the baton to the world at large, do good at each given opportunity. One major boost to the gospel Jesus brought and why it strives more than all else is because he went around doing good. Whoever was blind saw, who ever was lame walked, things money couldn't fetch for men, he gave it to them freely and still offered a continuous help directly from his source all we had to do is believe. Now till date people are still getting situations turn around for them just be believing in God and accepting Jesus, now tell me why such goodness won't be the greatest of all time.

You might very much be passing the right baton over there in your local street, or your environment at large, a little good today a little good tomorrow, someone is watching, someone is learning, someone is being impacted, someone is today doing good too because you first did good. I bet you'll get a reward at the end of your race. And I feel like letting you all know that this reward is the final and greatest reward that would become a determinate of how our lives would be there after. Now you know, so pass your baton.
