The word is all you need

A message from June Day 12

Today's topic marks the last in "The word" series that started on Thursday and it has really been enlightening even for me the writer. Sometimes you write about something and when you read them you discover that they are things you learn and apply in your daily life notwithstanding that you're the author of the article. It's somehow weird but it's true. Below is the previous articles in the word series in case you want to catch up

Now let's channel our focus back to the topic The word is all you need. What or who is "The Word'?🤔

• The word is a person

The Word is the Bible (the holy book) which is provided to guide us in our journey through life. It is the lamp for our feets and a light unto our path. It is there to give to direct us on what to do and what to avoid. Although, it is written for many years but it's very relevant today and even tomorrow. Hebrews 4:12 says that "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to the dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart" the word is and will ever remain active. No matter what it is that's happening in the world, it is recorded in the Bible. Is it wars, deaths, tribulations and trials , betrayals, love,lust and whatever problem that we're going through is there in the Bible. Someone has gone through all of these things so nothing is new. The Bible is an enduring book that's last forever and will never fade away.

There's a word for whatever problems or challenges that you're going through. You're not alone at all. When you study you'll get to discover and see the promise that God has to say about that challenge

The Word is a Person: the Bible is just not a book no. There's something much more than that. Hebrews 3:5 says "in the beginning was the world and the word was with God and the Word was God".

The word is God. This is what makes the Bible different from all other books, it will just be like a story book that you can't comprehend if you don't believe in Jesus (the word).

The word is Jesus, who is the firstborn of all creation. Because of this, the Bible is not just referred to as the word, but the word of God. He is the message and the messenger. The Word came to earth as a human. “The Word became flesh and resided among us.” (John 1:14). When we believe in the word (Jesus) we shall be saved. The book of Mark 16:16 says "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned" The Word cleanse us from all our sins and wrongs and when Jesus cleanses he forgives you of your sins and begins to work in your life through obeying the word of truth.

Believe is something that is actually hindering us from receiving this promise. We have too many doubts in our minds, which would not leave a room for the word to manifest.

Let's trust in the Lord with all we have, and we will see him come through for us in our times of need.
