I Am a GNU/Linux and FOSS Trainer

• Today, I received plenty of direct messages on LinkedIn congratulating my anniversary of a LinkedIn page GNU/Linux and FOSS Trainer.

1. FOSS stands for Free and Open Source Software.

2. GNU is a project of the Free Software Foundation.

3. Linux is a UNIX-like open source kernel.

4. GNU/Linux is an open source operating system that uses the Linux kernel, and utility programs of the GNU project.

• I have thanked all LinkedIn members who sent me congrats messages about my work anniversary as a GNU Linux and FOSS Trainer.

Watch out for a LinkedIn audio event coming weekend, which I will host with a LinkedIn friend!

• GNU/Linux is a stable and secure operating system for computers. It is free software and is freely available for the society. There are a large number of free application software.

• GNU/Linux is practically immune from virus and malware attacks. So, it reduces cost and optimizes efficiency. 

Surprisingly, a small fraction of global computer users use GNU/Linux and free software. Society should take the boons of free and open source software and GNU/Linux.
