Electron-Cash is a Feature-Rich Thin Wallet for Bitcoin Cash

A cryptocurrency needs a wallet system to access, hold, transfer, and receive. There are so many cryptocurrency wallets available to choose from.

• As a user of Bitcoin Cash, I choose Electron Cash my default wallet.

• Recently, when I got an issue paying my first CashRain campaign invoice, the Electron Cash wallet system rescued me.

• I completed the payment of the CashRain invoice without using any mobile apps.

Electron Cash is a thin wallet system exclusively for Bitcoin Cash.

Electron Cash is a thin client wallet system developed by and for the Bitcoin Cash community. It was first released in 2017 and is continually developed and upgraded.

• Electron Cash is available for all operating systems and devices.

• The users can install Electron Cash on desktop/laptop computers and smartphones.

• Electron Cash has web apps as well as mobile apps.

• Electron Cash runs on Windows, OSX, Linux, Android, and iOS.

As a GNU/Linux user since 1999, I am happy to download the binary App Image of the Electron Cash wallet system for Linux.

• Electron Cash wallet system is open-source software written in Python, licensed Copyright © 2017-2022 Electron Cash LLC and the Electron Cash developers.

• Expert programmers can download the source code and compile their customized version of the Electron Cash wallet system.

The Electron Cash app image for Linux runs with an executable (clickable) executable like any other binary application on Linux.

After executing, there are easy GUI-guided steps to create and use BCH wallets from the convenience of our devices.

One can create a new wallet from the GUI in easy steps.

By clicking the "Next" button, one can follow a few further steps to create a new self-custodial BCH wallet.

The GUI also allows the recovery of an existing BCH wallet using mnemonic seed phrase words.

All these can be controllable from the convenience of our own computer devices and smartphones.

One can notice the wallet system has several features, such as History, Send, Receive, Addresses, Coins, Contacts, and Address Converter.

I won't show any more screenshots in this section, as it is easy to explore and use the Electron Cash wallet system using its user-friendly GUI.

Some worth noting features of the Electron Cash wallet system

I found a few worth noting features of Electron Cash that can be very handy and useful for desktop and laptop users.

• These features are automatic in smartphone apps by tapping on the screen.

• But, for the smartphone avoiders like me, Electron Cash gives a lot of help.

Payments by scanning the QRCode by the camera, from an image, or by seeking the address from a text file.

I used the feature of reading the QRCode from files to pay a CashRain campaign invoice which was not possible directly from the CashRain website.

Conclusion

Electron Cash is a feature-rich self-custodial thin wallet system exclusively for Bitcoin Cash.

• I regularly use my BCH wallet created by the Electron Cash system.

• I have used the Electron Cash wallet system to pay for my first CashRain campaign.
