Do Not Donate the Fake People

Many humans like faking as good humans!

NGOs are plenty in all parts of the globe. People collect funds from various sources and tend to help the "underprivileged" and highlight their work as "noble."

  • There is nothing objectionable if some people like to work as social workers. They are somewhat professionally trained to be social workers.

  • But, some evil people found NGOs to collect funds and enjoy a lavish lifestyle with donations!

For example, one of the co-founders of the "Black Life Matters" in the US was accused in syphoning millions of dollars donation funds for buying her two costly mansions, one in Los Angeles, which got hangers for keeping airplanes!

She resigned when summoned for clarifications by other members of the (in)famous NGO! More recently, she was also accused of paying her brother a huge amount for the organization's supposed security work.

NGOs are found to collect huge funds, but nobody can track what they actually do with the funds.

The concept of an NGO-based social funnel is as bad as any other punishable crime. That is why I don't trust any NGO.

  • I had read some reports about billion dollars donations to NGOs for the poor citizens of a particular region of Africa, where only 0.9 percent of the fund reached the people!

  • They printed only posters and a few thousand T-shirts! Most donations came back to US donors as consultants' salaries, airfares, hotel charges, buying office spaces, etc.

I don't want to name anyone, but in the suspected NGO scams, many big philanthropist names are involved whom global citizens respect as demi-Gods!

It is a sad fact that we probably happen to support and respect those criminals as social workers or philanthropists!

Some ReadCashers seem to fake their sufferings or write about social activities and collect massive anonymous upvotes!

  • I read a few articles in the past where a few bloggers posted articles detailing their sufferings in life and collected massive BCH upvotes to the tune of thousands of dollars.

  • Some ReadCashers also portray their social activities and collect BCH donations via crowdfunding or direct donations.

  • Recent Tweets and short posts by @btcfork detail how a ReadCasher collected donations for some proposed social activities but didn't carry out the actual social activities!

Sadly, we often don't verify the authenticity of the fund collectors and the NGOs, and evil people are taking advantage of it.

I wish to urge the community to verify the authenticity of the NGOs and the donation collectors before donating funds.

Philanthropy is a noble cause, but don't let evil people or a fake NGO play with your donations.

  • Celebrities often aspire after names, and so they take part in philanthropy.

  • We all have the right to donate and live like a philanthropist.

Try to verify the NGO group or the person before you donate funds.

Please be authentic and truthful in whatever you do with donations.

Postscript

If we wish to help people, then helping them directly is the best. Donating to a charitable organization is not a good option, because we can't be sure whether our donation would be used for serving the people.

Wherever there is an opportunity for a money grab, people will do interesting things to grab it. I don't know which is worse. The one who takes the money, or the one who feels compelled to give it, because of course it's the ones who are willing to give it that fuel those willing to take it.

I know there have been a few here as well, and I have definitely seen some of those stories—even done simply. For example, one person said they wanted to buy a laptop and many people "donated" to help her do it.

She never bought the computer and I have no idea what she actually did with the money. But I do know some people probably felt like suckers for giving her the money.

The donors indeed incite the money suckers to tell more fake stories and grab more donations. Begging is a tool of the so-called social workers who live on donations. Good people generally don't take donations, but they take payments against some work done. The sad truth is that rich people donate for names but seldom offer jobs for deserved clients or pay decent salaries to their employees.

When I evaluate salaries in particular, I tend to think employees are paid well for the work they do when I examine the work they do and the contribution they make collectively to the profits and margins.

The problem is that most people do not know how to read a balance sheet nor do they know how to evaluate the value of their contribution, and therefore think they should be paid more than they should.

I actually wrote an article about this once.

It is often not so easy to value our worth. If we understand it well what we do, then it is possible to value our worth.

If anyone reads a balance sheet they will be able to determine how much revenue their work generates for the company and how much money the company actually can afford to pay.

Many workers would be very surprised to find that most companies are not the money mills they think they are.

Yes, an employee can find from the company's balance sheet how much revenue they generate. But how a self-employed person find their worth? Probably, the market value of services/products they provide would give an idea.

I used to actively donate to some charities some years ago till I heard about misappropriation of funds. Now I prefer to do my own helpings directly instead.

Yes, I agree with you. If we wish to help people, then helping them directly is the best. Donating to a charitable organization is the worst option.
