During a person's life, she or he passes through seven changes. Infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood, and old age are among these stages.
Infancy is defined as the period between a person's birth and the time when he or she starts to speak, which is usually between the ages of one and two. The child evolves from a dependent toddler to a relatively active youngster at this age; he or she can crawl, rollover, and walk. The stage of infancy sees the most increase in terms of physical development. When a child's parents or caregivers show affection and reliability, the child develops a sense of trust.
Early childhood is the period between the ages of two and six. These are referred to as the "play years". Many physical changes occur during this stage, including body growth, brain, and motor development. Both gross and fine motor abilities grow rapidly at this time. They can do basic chores including dressing and feeding themselves and explore many things around them.
Middle childhood is the stage between 8 to 12 years old in which children's roles and settings expand. They begin to spend their time outside, attending school in participating in another activity, and they begin to form their own identities as they have greater exposure to the world around. Healthy friendships for this stage are critical for their growth, peer pressure can be particularly intense at this time. Along with their growing independence, this is an essential stage for youngsters to develop a feeling of responsibility. Also, puberty-related physical changes, particularly in girls may be visible by now. Starting middle or junior high school is another significant transition that students must prepare for this time.
Adolescence or the teenage stage. Children entering adolescence go through a lot of changes. Adolescence's end is influenced by social and emotional elements and might be a bit confusing.
Adolescent thinking is superior. Children can only think logically about the immediate, the here, and now. Adolescents transcend these boundaries and can consider what might be true rather than just what they see as true. They can deal with abstractions, test hypotheses, and see infinite possibilities. Despite this, adolescents frequently exhibit egocentric behaviors and attitudes.
Adolescents are also socially and emotionally maturing throughout this period. The search for identity is the most crucial activity of adolescence. (This is frequently a lifelong journey that begins in adolescence.) The struggle for independence goes hand in hand with the search for identity.
Early adulthood is the stage in a person's life when he or she can form intimate relationships as well as friendships. According to studies, without the formation of intimate relationships, a person becomes isolated and develops a fear of commitment, as well as a mistrust of other people. To be able to form such intimate relationships, one must have successfully progressed through the earlier stages of life. This stage lasted around 18 years.
Physical changes at this stage. Height and weight may increase somewhat, our physical maturity is complete.
Our physical talents, such as muscle strength, reaction time, sensory capacities, and heart functioning, are at their optimum in early adulthood (ages 20–40). Early adulthood also marks the start of the aging process, which is marked by changes in skin, vision, and reproductive potential.
Middle adulthood is the phase of life between adult and old age. The age ranging from 30's or 40's to 60.
Let's talk about the development personality during this stage.
According to the study of life span development.
Middle adulthood is a time when you're going through a lot of changes in your life. The normative-crisis paradigm, in which universal sequential stages hold age-related crises, was the center of personality development until recently.
During this time, people have settled into adulthood and are looking forward to a new chapter in their lives. Those with children often find that their children have grown older and require less of their attention. Many people in their forties and fifties are on the verge of retiring.
In middle age, gray hair or hair loss, as well as wrinkles and age spots, become more noticeable. All of these factors work together to make middle-aged persons appear older than they were a decade ago.
And also during this stage many people may experience poor eye sight and hearing. Vision problems frequently begin in dim illumination. Most adult on this stage end up using glasses to deal with eye vision problems.
Lastly the last stage of life, the "Old stage". Age 60 till the end.
Most of the people retire at this point and no longer have substantial responsibilities such as for others.
Physically, the stamina, strength, and reflex time, and perceptions of elderly persons begin to deteriorate. Late-life aging has a significant impact on appearance, feeling, and motor ability. As wrinkles form and the skin becomes less elastic and thin, an older adult's appearance changes. The immune system is reduced in the elderly, making them more vulnerable to disease, cancer, diabetes, and other disorders. As people get older, cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases become increasingly common. Seniors often face a loss of balance and physical mobility, which can lead to falls and accidents.
