Many of you are already aware that I have been reading a bit of "THE PRODIGAL DAUGHTER" lately, a fictional book. And I am just glad to say that I added one more book to my already completed 'book-read-list'. With that and according to one of the traditions that I start following lately to write a summary of the book that I finish reading, here.
But, before reading further why don't you all turn the volume up-
So, this book is the sequel to Kane and Abel.
The main character is "Florentyna Rosnovski". Her family was 'POLACK' and settled in America and therefore Florentyna was bullied in her school. But she was taught by her governess and her father how not to overreact about all the fuss that doesn't require ur attention. Her father wanted a son after her but he couldn't have one because of his low sperm count. But, then he was contented and channelized all his energy towards the upbringing of his only child.
I liked his character but in some aspects, I beg to differ with his character I believe it was a normal circumstance for him according to the new place he was now living. He was just a penniless immigrant but he went on to build chains of hotels in his own country and across the border. He became a millionaire with his strong will, determination, and intelligence.
Florentyna on the other hand wanted to become the president of the United States of America since she was 11 and she has gone into various characteristics from a sweet little kid to an egotistical teenager only when she got a seat in the student's council of her school and started seeing herself as someone who can do anything with her power and with a view to become the president of the same council next year but un-surprisingly she could not even make it to the list of the council next year. But, her governess and father helped her out. She again becomes calm and composed. She studied hard again to win the top scholarship to one of the finest schools in America where she graduated and made some good friends. Fell in love with a boy only to see him being married to someone else.
Her father had all the wealth and she can join her father's business anytime she wanted also as she was the only child. But, she fell in love with another guy and they both elope after finding their families are not so hot in the background. She took a job in a shop and decided to open her own shop and anticipating she can get a loan from one of the banks for her plan. But, her loan was being rejected and she never knew that her father secured to get her loan without knowing her. (I actually am a fan of what a father can do for his daughter: the father-daughter love is really so amazing).
She opened her first shop and it didn't go quite well the first year and not even the second year but then slowly like the universal truth always prevails (Trust on time when you are doing all the things possible by yourself) she was able to manage some considerable profits and she also decided to expand her another shop in another place and then so on with her intelligence and quotient.
Her father died which saddened her. She became the chairman of her father's chain of hotel "Baron's group" and she took her responsibilities explicable well and run the hotel quite amazingly as her father used to and with that, she gave the responsibility of her shops to one of her close person. And her husband also managed to become the chairman of the only bank his father have been serving and therefore they both were elated with their life.
It amused me when her husband ask her what is she up to next and she boldly replied to become a "billionaire".
The life circumstances brought her back to something which she always dreamt of, her friend asked her to file her nomination to be elected as a senate member from her hometown. And she won the election to become the only congresswoman in the congress. She adapted very well. And then things happen that she realizes she should try for the presidential election but her opponent allured her that if she won't fight as his only opponent he would appoint her as a vice-president and since it can be his last term, therefore, he will let her become the president only in the next election and bingo! she was already lured into the tempting offer to her. Which I find very stupid behaviour of her. How can she be underconfident even though having great support? When the next election was near she approached the president only to be disappointed by his statements. She had it all lost which she knows deep down. She decided that after her tenure as vice president she will be dedicated to her hotel and spend the rest of her life.
Surprisingly, the president died of a heart attack and she was made the president as per the rule of hierarchy the story ends here. With an ending where her childhood dream came true.
And another sequel of this novel continues as "Shall we tell the president"
Well, from this book I gained a few things.
Desires and demands. Ambitions and wants. Perfect character.
