Freebies and politics

India is a developing economy and is a country that embraces diversity across various dimensions. And since it is a developing economy there are many classes of people living out here, some have the wealth that worth equals the GDP of a few countries and some are not able to breach the $1.90 a day target, some sleep on an empty stomach, and some who just live their life paying their mortgage, loans, car loans, family needs, etc.

To prevent people from sleeping on an empty stomach, and uplifting people of various communities and improve their lifestyles, and at the same time also put up efforts for the efficient running of the country, the government of any country especially any developing country runs various programs, schemes, subsidies, freebies, and rationing foods to tackle problems as I have mentioned above.

My country India also has such a system for public welfare like rationing food for the poor and providing subsidies on some essentials like an LPG cylinder, fertilizers, and fuels. These schemes are so designed that they don't compromise the cost of the development of the nation. But, in pursuit to establish their power and rule the state some political parties make some lofty promises to secure their winning possibilities in an election. Some of these promises are made without even calculating their consequences for the development of the state. And, when these parties are able to form their government and in agreement to stand up to their promises they sometimes push the economy of the state into a bizarre in a long run. They even don't develop a system for preventing the misuse of these freebies. And as a result, a lot of resources that could have been used for the upliftment of various people end up contributing to black marketing.

We must remember that the public interests are best served when public welfare yields impressive results, like if the rationing of food was needed for and covered 50 million people in the year 2010 then the success of public welfare schemes can only be determined if the number of people needing these resources declines in upcoming years gradually. And their requirement shifts from a two times a day meal to some other things which enhances their lifestyle. Due to the political party's personal interests, we are only increasing the number of freebies rather than trying to decrease them efficiently in the future. In the greed for power, we forget that we have borrowed these decades from our children and it would be shameful if we return them, an economy that still struggles for their two times a day meals rather than striving in other fields that leads us towards being called a developed economy.

Thank you, and have a peaceful night.

This is the sad reality nowadays. So it's very important that the people in the politics are aware and consider the people who need it the most.
