5TH FEBRUARY, 2022.
7TH ARTICLE IN ALL.
5TH ARTICLE IN THE MONTH.
I wanted to write the second part of yesterday's article but this came up.
The burial of a relative took place yesterday. She had been sick for quite some months and had been taken care of. She got married twenty two years ago and gave birth to three children; two boys and a girl. Her first born just finished university and the second is currently awaiting his admission letter.
Why would death take a loved one away? Why is it so soon? Couldn't you have written a letter to inform us of your coming? Is our dear one's work done on earth? With whose permission did you take her away? Did you take permission from her husband? Did her children grant you access? Did her loved ones allow you? Why are you so cruel and heartless? Is that the way to do things? How do you expect her husband to survive? He loved her with all his life. What about the young children she left behind? Who will take up the role of a mother in their lives? This is not fair. Are you coming back for us? Don't you dare. Don't try it. We have accepted fate on our loss. May God console us.
'All of a man's wealth becomes useless to him immediately he dies. But, a single soul converted through his service is worth more than the world's wealth put together.'
What I have realized is that at the beginning of every year, we humans set goals we want to achieve for a year. When the year remains a month or two to elapse, and we notice that we are yet to achieve our set goals then we begin to rush.
If we take a look at people we call okada riders and other transporters. Many of them determined at the beginning of the year that before the year runs out, they must have paid the debts of the bicycle or vehicle and have it as their own. When the year is almost gone and they still have a lot of debt to pay, they begin to rush to achieve their goal and that is why we usually have lots of accident victims towards the end of the year.
I think this is what death is also doing. It has been given the number of lives to terminate in a year. When the year is about running out, it begins to rush it's activities so as to reach it's goal. May we not be the devil's target. We will not die before our time.
Let us make sure we begin to work on our plans now. Let's not wait until it's almost December. Let us make impact while we still can. We have today, we may not have the opportunity of tommorow. It's a sad truth. This woman that died made a lot of positive impact on everyone she had encounter with. In her place of work, she was known for hardwork and diligence. Her husband knew her to be an obedient, caring and submissive wife. Her children knew her as a loving mother. Her relatives and in-laws knew her to be very jovial and accommodating. She was also known to be a lover of God. The question is: WHAT WILL YOU BE KNOWN FOR.

Death is so sad. The people left behind are usually the ones who suffers it the most. Sorry for your loss.
