When I first started my Blogging For Life Series, I had a lot of interested readers and still do. Blogging is indeed a great way to create income online. Blogs provide a way for readers to view posts on various topics they are interested in. It's a great resource for those who have plenty of time to sit down and read an article or two.
But not everyone has as much time on their hands and that's where Podcasting can be a game-changer. Podcasts can be listened to when life gets busy. You can listen to a podcast episode at home while doing your household chores or on your way to work. Podcasts are a great resource that can be listened to almost anywhere, so I was quite surprised to see not as many fans of Podcasting.
If you do your research through Google, you'll notice that podcasting is becoming a huge income resource for those of us who want to gain more followers. Podcasts are the answer to gaining important knowledge, even when life gets busy. Why wouldn't you want to take advantage of that?
Don't get me wrong, I love being a blogger, but I'm also a Podcaster and find myself building The Fight Within Her through podcasting versus blogging. It was also one of the biggest reasons I created my Podcasting For Life Series. To me, being a podcaster is so much easier. You don't need to know website design and you don't have to promote yourself to every platform out there because online radio apps like Spotify already have your back.
Podcasts are also in the spotlight with some of the biggest names out there in Hollywood and beyond. They are taking advantage of an opportunity that allows them to continue to earn income while staying at home during the covid crisis. Celebrities like Bill Gates, Michelle Obama, and Jay and Silent Bob. There is something for everyone!
But maybe it's that FEAR of being the little guy versus a huge name that has us trembling in our boots. Is it worth the effort? Are we going to be swallowed up whole by Hollywood? I don't think so. I started my podcast right around the time the pandemic hit and I'm still continuing to see new loyal listeners every week and a rise in online income. I love my loyal listeners because it means I am able to know every one of them on a more personal level. Podcasting allows me to hear my listeners and that's something blogging does not!
Still, think blogging is the only way to build your business? Think about this, those big names in Podcasting that you're afraid of? They can help new fans discover you. The more famous names like Demi Moore and Oprah Winfrey use podcasting, the more people will take an interest as a podcast listener, providing you the perfect opportunity to build your business! All you have to do is continue creating great content, be real as a person who gets others, and just keep being consistent with your podcast.
It also helps that Google has your back by allowing listeners to find Podcasts like ours and listen to them directly through search results. If you look up The Fight Within Her Podcast, you will be able to play a few of the latest episodes directly from Google's search results page.
Another great thing for Podcasters like myself is that Sponsorship for my podcast is immediate through platforms like Anchor. I don't have to look for sponsors or wait for a major following before I can bring in income from my Podcast. Best of all, I know I'm building my future. More and more people will discover podcasting. They will find it so much easier to obtain information by audio and video versus reading because of our busy lives.
One last thing, however. Even though podcasting is an easier platform than blogging for me, for some it may not be as easy. I chose anchor platform for podcasting because it was very easy to set up the Fight Within Her Podcast.
Anchor walks you through the setup process, but it's bare-bones. Once you start learning the ins and outs of podcasting, you are going to want to do more to make your podcast stand out using better equipment, your own music, intros, and even take it to the next level with other sponsors. The opportunities are tremendous with podcasting no matter how you look at it.

Good evening Miss, it is incredible how this Pandemic accelerated many things that were going at a slow pace, as the case of Podcasting, since the beginning of the new technologies, Blogs became the window for many people to share their knowledge, skills and interesting topics. However we can not deny that Podcasting is more attractive, and there is nothing better than telling stories, transmitting information and generate learning, with your voice, certainly see so many personalities joining the Podcasting is a bit overwhelming, however we can not limit ourselves, but take advantage of this moment, to give the best of ourselves, as you mentioned, started in full pandemic and weekly has new listeners, and the best generates income, quietly, without worrying about what design should have the theme that is uploading on the blog, the theme of the images, fonts, things that certainly deserve more time, and limit a little what you want to do or share, greetings and thanks for sharing such an interesting topic. You gave us one more reason to venture into this new world.
