Vengeance is Mine
16th, January 2022.
If anyone has offended you in any form, allow God to do the fighting. Don't get angry. Don't be bitter. Don't dwell on the past. Don't retaliate. Forgive.
It's not about revenge. It's about justice and that's for God to handle, not us.
Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge his people. It is a reflection of God to believe that He would wait patiently, for an opportunity to punish those who oppose His authority; let us not attribute this stage of patience of God as weakness, but remember that God is a Being of perfect love, and that the world has no more powerful friend than He.
Long and patient suffering on our part does not win God's favor, and it does not win His forgiveness for us; for it is written: Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord .
I have been deeply grieved by the reflection that many professed Christians have no more confidence in their own prayers for vengeance than they have in their prayers for healing. God is as willing and able to give vengeance as He is to give healing; for He says: Vengeance is mine ; I will repay, saith the Lord .
When God created Mankind, he gave us all a destiny. That destiny was to live a life full of purpose and power.
But as we do journeys in life, some of us will be knocked down...and beaten...and lose faith in God.
Some of us will test God's mercy and face his wrath.
But for those who are victims of injustice...allow God to get vengeance for you.
In every story you see about injustice taking place, there's always a role for God to play.
That's why I believe the Bible says that God always works behind the scenes in form of justice.
You see, if God were to step in front of those injustice stories, people would begin to take him for granted.
So, what I'm urging you to do is to put God in the picture and allow him to fight your battles when they happen.
And here's why:
God has the power to fight all our battles for us.
When I think of the tales of woe for a despicable human, my mind always glance towards the Lord. After all, He loves vengeance, and it's one of His favorite past times.
We only have to remember the biblical story of the flood where God wiped away all the people who were just plain bad. But when things aren't that extreme, we can pray for God to intervene.
There are people who were born with greed and selfishness nature, who use lies and deceit to satisfy their carnal desires.
Theree are people whose hearts are filled with evil, hate and wickedness.
And I say to you, I will not waste my time or energy on such persons for vengeance is the Lord's and retribution is God's.
So, let's all leave all to God, let God do the fighting, no matter what we face, let God do the main work. You do not have any reason to fear.
This article was based on my service today in church. Happy Sunday everyone.
I used to believe these things strongly as a kid,,, but now,,, I'm not so sure...
