In restless dreams, I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in a naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
Then the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence.
The End!

Good day folks, how are you all holding up? I'm hoping y'all are having a good day. TGIF!!! I'm so glad that it's Friday. I mean, it's been a terrific week and all. It's a bright day today, clear skies and no rainy clouds. I hope y'all enjoy your day after all it's Friday!!
Allow me to share this funny experience my sister shared with me some days back so it's going to be in her point of view, not mine.

So, in my first year of Senior Secondary school, I used to read a lot during class. At the time, I was reading Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Adichie, and for some reason I had two copies of the same book.
So, one day in English class we were reading this other book (which I had already finished reading three day earlier), I was reading my own book and when it was my turn to read, I had no idea where we were. My teacher took my book away, I found my spot, read my part and passed it to the next person to start reading.
After I read my part, I took out my second copy of Purple Hibiscus and picked up right where I left off. Skip ahead a few minutes, gets back to my turn to read, and again I don't know where we are. So, teacher takes a look at me, sees the book in my hands, then back to her desk obviously confused for a second. But shrugs it off knowing it's me she's dealing with, takes my second book and puts it on her desk and makes me read my part...
To be continued!
A/N: Do you wanna know what happens next? Because what happens next was borderline hilarious... because I would tell you that Lil Sister F was something of a Mischief Maker back in her Senior Secondary school years, I kid you not. So if you wanna know, you gotta keep an eye out for the next article. So, Take care. Keep safe. Toodles!
