Mother-in-Law is Finally Home!

I shared here the health status of my mother-in-law that she is already in critical condition due to the illness that she suffered right now. She's been suffering for almost 1 month already.

Last two weeks when we decided to transfer her to a bigger hospital which is found in Tacloban City. We want her to live longer. That's why we make a way to do everything just for the sake of Nanay's health. We fight for her as she does.

As she was there in Tacloban City, she undergoes different tests so that we can find what's the causes behind her illness. We wanted to know what truly the reason for her agonies. She was tested CT scan and Ultrasound and the result was never found.

Days passed by, the Doctor said that my mother in law is suffering from ovarian cancer. The doctor predicts that when the time that she has undergone an operation because of an ovarian cyst last four years ago, the doctor said that the cyst was cancerous. Now it happened again the reason for her hardships.

Last Tuesday, my mother in law should go an operation in Tacloban City but the operation didn't proceed because her body was totally down. Her body's vital signs are already low or weak and she can't make it. That would be the cause of her death if the operation proceeds. Also, her waste or stool is being stocked inside her tummy for the reason that she cant release it. Can't frequently pass it on her own. Her tummy now is getting bigger because it's been two weeks already since she can't release her own waste. So sad to know this. It's so painful. She is suffering so much. 😭

So, my sister in law, sign a waiver to just stop or not to do the operation and just go home alive. We have no choice but to take Nanay home to their house and wait for the will of God. We don't know when only God knows.

Yesterday Wednesday, Nanay was taken home. Last night at 11 PM they arrived at their house. She seems happy that finally, she was already home after two weeks away. We guess Nanay wanted to rest in her home together with her family.

Now, she always mumbled the word " wait". In Cebuano, it is "huwat sa". We guess that Nanay is being fetched by her loved ones that are already dead. That is just a superstitious belief that if someone is fetching you to death, you are the next in line. It is just a belief.

However, she still wanted to see all her children. Including the grandchildren as she always seeks us. Especially my husband as the oldest and the only son. She wanted to see us all together. She requests that. Even if she can't able talk fluently, we can still understand her.

Tomorrow, we decided to go there and grant Nanay's request. We will go to her house together with her siblings, children, and grandchildren. We want to grant her request maybe for the last time. Maybe that would be the request she is waiting for so that she can now go and rest well. 😞

Closing Thought:

As much as we want Nanay to live longer, but if God is ready to take back life especially the life of Nanay. We have no choice then. We don't have the right to stop God for His will. We want Nanay to rest. We want her to just go and leave us as long as she is happy. We have no problem with that. If God will take her, she can now live peacefully and no more suffering. No more pain.

We feel mercy to Nanay to her situation now. We can't believe that she experience this kind of illness. She is very kind, generous, and thoughtful to all her loved ones. She is so down to earth. But, we have no option but to accept the reality that our life is just a borrowed one from God. His will be done. 🙏

For now, we are not well. We are unhappy, we are in pain knowing Nanay is about to surrender. We just need to be strong now and abide by the truth. We lifted to God everything now. He knows what we want and what we need. 😞
