Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It is the day when we can have time to rest after the long weekdays of working striving for our goals in life. It is indeed the day that most of us spend our Sunday going to church worshipping God alone our Creator of all the seen and unseen creatures on earth. We can also celebrate this day as a family day because most members of the family are taking their day off on this day and spend their day with their families. One of those people who spent their rest day is my dear husband. It's our quality time to be as a family. That's why this day which is Sunday is my favorite day of my life.
Well, yesterday which is Sunday two celebrations happened. It's was a dedication and 1st birthday of my niece's daughter. Her mother is my sister. So, therefore, my niece's daughter is my grandchild too. (wow, apo is real na ako) lol. It was a joint celebration because my niece was working away from home. She is working at Cagayan De Oro City while her daughter is left home by her mother and siblings. She just sent money for the baby's necessities and the whole family as well. She is the breadwinner of the family too. So, last Saturday she just went home to attend her baby's milestone. That is why the celebrations were being joint just yesterday.
The celebrations happened in the afternoon. The dedication was held at our mother church since our church was still under construction. The baby was being dedicated by our Pastor. They started at 3 PM because they need to travel first for about 30 minutes from their home. Our mother church is located in our neighbor's town. They began the dedication on time. The baby's sponsors were incomplete because some were working away from our province and some were busy I think. The dedication went so well. Finally, after one year, the baby was being dedicated to God. Everyone was happy and blessed most especially the mother of the baby. By the way, the father of the baby was not around because he is working abroad as my niece said. We haven't seen the father of the baby since then. Even in their social media. They don't expose the father in public because as my niece said " privacy is power". We don't know why but maybe there's a hidden agenda about it. Lol. Kidding aside. 😁
Right after the dedication, we head right away to the reception which is located in our town. The place is just simple. The decoration as well. The birthday theme is a unicorn.
There were tons of sweets. You can eat them as much as you want to.
We enjoyed the food so much. Our tummies were full. And we were satisfied.
My baby felt it's her day too. Look at her. 👇
The double celebration went so fine. We had a great time spending our Sunday. We made our day beyond thankful after the occasion. We were grateful to God for the occasions that were being done successfully through His grace and blessings. 😇
