The Sun King 14th November 2021 Fit like loons and kwines! I have not given you any Scottish words for a while 😁 So that basically meant ... How are you, boys and girls? Okay today is November fourteenth, and day 14 of my November one a day challenge! And after my article yesterday with 13 I see today is 14. Whenever I see 14 I get reminded of a bit of history. So today will be a bit of fun history. Are you sitting comfortably? **Well like it or not, away we go.** 14 or Fourteen reminds me of Louis XIV or Louis the fourteenth. You probably know about Louis XIV without knowing that you do. He is the monarch with the longest reign, a whopping 72 years, although he did become king at 4. His biggest claim to fame is that he was responsible for building the Palace of Versailles.
The size of that place! It is even bigger than Archie's home 🤣 **He even had an American state named in his honour** When Frenchman René-Robert Cavelier claimed the interior of North America by the Mississippi River and its tributaries for his country in 1682, he named it Louisiana in honour of his king Louis XIV. Pretty cool huh! **He was a randy so and so** Louis and his wife Maria Theresa of Spain had six children, but only the eldest kid survived to adulthood. Louis XIV did have a healthy sex life though and fathered more than a dozen illegitimate children with a number of mistresses. To his credit, he did eventually legitimize most of his children born to mistresses in the years following their births. **The Sun King - yes there is a connection in the article to the title** **Louis XIV believed himself to be a direct representative of God** It took more than twenty years for King Louis XIII and his wife to have Louis XIV as their first child. They were so happy to have an heir to the throne that they christened the boy Louis-Dieudonné which means “gift of God.” Louis XIV believed any disobedience to his edicts to be sinful, and he adopted the sun as his emblem because France revolved around him like the planets revolved around the sun, and that was how he was known as the Sun King. Talk about being conceited! Yesterday was a wee maths lesson, today is a wee History lesson, who knows what tomorrow will bring, I certainly don't. *****Did you know that a lamp is useless in the daytime but appreciated in the night!***** *****So never judge a book by its covers.***** **Do you play games?** Are you playing the Joystick games on Bitcoin.com . I have not played them yet, although I did buy some JOY tokens. Will try it out once and for all tomorrow. I do play the bchgames from time to time. Do you play them? If so what are your favourite games? Mine is the mine thingy, it is addictive though, so be warned. My mind has been wandering so have been reading a few articles whilst I am writing this, the joys of tabs on a laptop haha. Anyways I was reading this one **Hayaan mo ko, hanggang isang araw.** from the wonderful @MissJo but it is not in English, so out with the translator I went and I get love, and it reminded me of a song from an awesome band .... https://read.cash/@MissJo/hayaan-mo-ko-hanggang-isang-araw-9b9864d8 https://youtu.be/zuuObGsB0No **Love, Love will tear us apart again** one of the best choruses you will hear **Who hasn't been torn apart by love?** **And with that, I will love you and leave ...** Copyright **@TengoLoTodo** 2021 and yes All Rights Reserved. Interesting article, unusual topics, free style of writing, I like it. An interesting fact about the origin of the name of the state of Louisiana, I did not know that. I don't play games yet, I don't have time but maybe I will one day...
Thanks for that, I tend to write a bit of this and a bit of that, I don't usually know what it is about until I start to write. Yeah, Louisana was a fun fact. Yes check the games out when you get some time:)
The dynamics that you are giving to the dynamics of publications that you have during the month is great, I read yesterday and today and I feel the need to read the ones that I have missed. They are great.
Thank you very much. I try to write things that are a little different. We should entertain and have fun when we write I think.
And what's loons and kwines? 🤣 His son has many mistresses.. Who becomes the next king after him? 😅
loons and kwines is boys and girls, fit like it how are you! Louis XV fifteen is the next son, the king had the mistresses, more than one 🤣🤣🤣
I love this wee piece about history you wrote today. I didn't know about the fact that Louisiana state was named in honor of Louis XIV. I haven't played the joystick games, maybe one of these days. :)
Actually, I never knew about Louisiana either although I knew it was originally French, didn't put two and two together, yes I thought be a little different today. I haven't played them either, perhaps an article there though.
Oshiee Bro.. Honestly, I am not into history but I like this article of yours. I felt intrigue some points you have mentioned above.. Hehe, can't think of a specific point/s tho, "basta yun na yun"..Hehe.. Anyways, thanks for sharing about this Louisiana, its origin.
Thanks, sis, I try to make learning fun, so you never know what I will write about hehe and the origin of Louisiana was fun to know.
Surely, it is bro.. ☺️
hehe oo 😁
Free writing is always interesting. Love the way you hit every point.
I appreciate that bro, thank you
Kings do really love to have more mistresses back then. I guess it's a normal thing for them. I gained more knowledge today. Ahahaha, it appeared in our history subject back then, I guess but I can't remember that anymore.
Yes very normal for kings to have mistresses and France in general often accepted to have mistresses even the women take lovers. Ah you did in history I am impressed.
And in China back then, having many concubines shows that the Master of the household is wealthy.
"Fit like loons and kwines!", another Scottish word to store in my little brain, hihi. I play games but not " Joystick" my master hehe. What I have in my phone are games for kids haha. Good morning po.
hehe fit like my wee BC. Kiddies games you are too funny, maayong buntag.
Im not really good in history and I just knew only few from my filipino heroes. I dont have joy token also but some of my virtual friends have it. I need to be careful to be scammed again😅. ill checked MissJo article now.

Nice story new history I read today thanks for your sharing of knowledge to us
My pleasure, it is fun to learn something new
I felt like I read 10 articles from this article alone 🤣
hehe rest that wee brain, I don't mean to overload you 🤣🤣
Ahhh interesting King Louis! His parents waited for him 20 years so I could imagine that joy of trying to catch up with the 20 years of having no son and now having him. Yep yep.. he will be spoilt alright hahaha. Everything moves at the point of his finger by age 4. It is interesting how then in the old days, rulers of kingdoms can be as young as that.. now we have rulers aged older and yet.. none can match up with the versailles haha.. howell . . . i tried joystick haven't returned to playing it. i don't know how to convert joy to bch lols. A lot to learn still. How's splinter going uncle?
Splinter not even started yet, are you going to help me wee pp? Yes the monarchy was handed down and it did not matter how old they were, quite bizarre really! Yes wiggle that finger and off with his head lol Ah joy to bch, well i have left as joy as hardly any that I have 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know how I can help though hahaha.... I am figuring it out myself still. All i know to start, you sign up, you get a hive account for that. Then you buy the spellbook and then you're matching cards to play against another player :) Go up a rank to start "earning" dark energy crystals
hmm okay, are there guilds and clans etc
guilds there is.. clans.. not totally aware.. hmmm ...
yes I see they have guilds now I need to learn wtf to do 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, what an interesting lesson for today po. And I liked the greetings, Scottish slangs are so different from the Americans and the Aussies lol.
hehe fit like kwine ;) Oh yes there some great Scottish slangs and they are so different from Aussie and American speak!
And thanks po for the mention in your previous article!
You are so very welcome :)
Interesting history facts, I didn't know some of them. But the most interesting for me were Scottish words at the beginning. I would like to hear more Scottish slang words.😊
hehe I have written a couple of articles on Scottish slang words, would you like me to write more I wonder
Yes, I would like to read it because I never heard Scottish slang before.
ok I will tag you in it when I write the next one :)
Interesting history of the Luises. I didn't know Bitcoin.com had addictive games, I'll check out some extra BCH. Very true both sayings.
