My Affiliate Marketing Update

A few months ago I have written about my affiliate marketing journey. I shared about how I started my way into it including how the world of affiliate marketing works. To be honest, I do not know anything about affiliate marketing besides promoting online. I have set-up a Facebook profile page where I promote different products online through posting the links that will redirect them to the main page.

I do not have enough time to post and promote every day. Due to this, my progress is stagnant and I do not get clicks everyday. Though I do not want to be discourage as I am just building my name on the affiliate marketing and I really know it takes time. I am taking things slowly. It's normal to get zero views or clicks especially when you are not an influencer, the best investment you can put into the affiliate marketing is your time since we do not need to pull money from our pockets. I still call it a win-win situation.

This is my analytics. I got a total of 80 clicks already. Those are the clicks from my affiliate links posted online. I am very happy that I got 21 conversions! Those are the products bought by the people who have clicked on my link. My overall affiliate commissions is $1.22. I know it is so small but I am very happy for that. It only means my promotional strategy is working. I have to work more on promoting so that I'll gain more followers and visitors. I cannot withdraw my earnings there because I have to meet the minimum payment which is at least $20. I do not want to think about earning big, I want to focus first on developing my page name.

This is what my Facebook profile page looks like. As for now, I've got 20 likes and 1k followers. I have been inviting some of my friends, classmates, relatives to like and share my page. I have joined different public groups on Facebook where I am allowed to share my affiliate links. So far, it has been effective to me because I gained visitors and a few of them bought from my affiliate link. Well, sharing your links in different groups doesn't guarantee you commissions. It's just a matter of luck when someone likes the item you posted and purchased it.

This is what my affiliate marketing website looks like. I did not create this one, this is from the Involved Asia (the affiliate marketing platform I have joined). What I really like about it is that it really looks convenient. It feels like you are actually selling. You can also categorize the products you are promoting so that it will be easy for every visitor to see.

My best-selling item is the cap for men and women. I did not expect it. I got $0.52 from it after three visitors purchased it. It looks so small and to tell you, affiliate marketing is great when you promote expensive items. The more expensive the item, the higher your commission will be. The cap I am promoting is only around $1 so expect that I will get a cents from it.

This is my goal in affiliate marketing.

My goal in affiliate marketing is not to promote expensive items just to get a bigger commission. Instead, my goal is to reach a wide audience. It doesn't matter if I am promoting cheap items online if 100 people will purchase them due to affordability, then my commissions is a big as the people promoting expenses items. This is my goal and strategy for succeeding the affiliate marketing world. I hope it will be successful as I can also help other people try new things where they can earn passively. I call affiliate marketing a passive income and as long as the affiliate marketing platform won't shutdown and you regularly post items online with wide engagement, you can build success from it.
