Karma is The Currency of Your Life
I am a firm believer of Karma. What goes around, comes around. Everything will come back to you in the right time. You are what you doing. Just like the phrase "Karma's a bitch!"
Do you believe in Karma? Does it happen to you? Karma is from a Sanskrit word for "actions." To some people they call it "cause and effect." It is also said that Karma is what you will get after you are reincarnated. There's a concept of rebirth wherein you will have another life and another body once you will die. The effects of your previous actions can reflect towards your future next life.
The good or bad fortune someone experiences may be the result of actions performed in past lives.
Did you ever think that the reason for a lot of mishaps in life are due to our deeds before? Did you ever ask these series of questions, Why do all of these things are happening to me? Do I deserve it? Have I done anything wrong before?
We don't know if it is real that what we do today is what we will get in the future. If we treated others wrongly, someday we will also be treated wrongly. Same as when you do good, you'll be rewarded with the good things in the future. In the concept of rebirth, we have a karmic sum and it will decide what we will have in the next life.
Whether karma is real or not, I will always choose to do good things. Whenever I put someone in a situation where they are not happy, I have to imagine in myself if what would I feel if I will be in that shoes too? That's how I define karma. Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.
The mind rules the karma
Karma can be created based on our intentions. Practicing mindfulness will lead you to a good and successful karma. Be in the present moment and stop projecting what the future might be or stop holding back into the past. Live as if you only live at this moment.
According to Buddhist beliefs, Karma is not a punishment or justice system instead it is a concept of natural law similar to gravity. Buddhist believe that we are in control of our ultimate fate. The problem is that most us are ignorant to this, which causes a suffering. We can take control of our thoughts and behavior.
"Karma is the currency of your life."
Karma is a natural law. Based on your karmic actions, you purchased your life experiences through good, bad, pleasant and unpleasant. You can create your own karma. Just like the Newton's law of action, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So you can't expect life to give you all apples and anything you want, some things will work opposite and maybe you can blame the natural law.
Good karma comes when you create good things that doesn't only just benefit you but the others as well. Good karma also comes when you practice the "patience is a virtue." Hardwork pays off. When you complain less in life, you get more than what you wish for. Sometimes great things happen when we least expect it or we have never imagine and thought about it.
Whether we'll get rewarded for doing good in this world or not, I will still chose to do good and do what is right. Life is very short and let's do beautiful things even no one is watching. In the end, we will all be dust in the air. The only downside in being kind is that people will use it to take you for granted. I have felt that and it doesn't sound good. If karma will repay everything, then we have nothing to worry from the people who mistreated us. Let them eat the dish they have served.
"When you become mindful of all your actions, you can change your karma."- Buddha
