Puto challenge accepted πππ
#3 (154)
Hello, friends what's up? How is your day going on? My day got been busy, I have a lot of errands today and busyness never leaves me. I'm trying my best to do my duties here but I can't handle well my time. I have a small store to manage which leads me to busyness.
Anyway, the last month of Ramadan leads me to more busyness mostly when it comes to the kitchen! It challenges me to do more experiments with cooking to make my family feel happy and satisfied during their fasting time and one of my best is to make RICE PUTO or rice cake if I'm not mistaken. So here it is and I want to show and share it with you guys, hope you have time to try it in your kitchen. Super easy to prepare and very affordable too. Most so tasty and yummy!
RICE PUTO
Ingredients for mixture :
1/2 kilo rice flour (for an easy recipe)
2cups sugar (white or washed) you can lessen the sugar depending on your taste
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast and 1 1/2 tsp baking
Cheese optional
3cups water
Mix well all ingredients except yeast and baking powder, set aside and make the rice paste to add smoothness to our PUTO RICE.
RICE PASTE
Ingredients for Rice paste:
1/2 cup rice flour
2 cups of water
Mix well then cook on a low fire for about 5 minutes or until forms like paste. then mix the mixture and the rice paste until mixed well. Cover with plastic or cloth and leave for 1-2 hours at room temperature.
While greasing the moulders, boil water in the steamer. Put the mixture on the shoulder and cover it. Steam the mixture for about 15minutes.
You can put cheese on top if you like, and do the same procedure until you finish all your mixture. Serve with hot or cold drinks π€©π€©π€©
This is for today, thank you for dropping by. Hope you try it at home, super easy, super affordable, has super cheap ingredients and is super delicious. Have a wonderful day and happy cooking!

I really love rice puto sis, my mother in law is good on making this and I really miss it. It's been awhile since the last time I ate puto rice and this made me crave for it.βΊοΈ
