Bjorn Niclas who was one of the creators of CHOON announced a few weeks ago the creation of a new musical platform on the blockchain named: ROCKI.
CHOON is dead, long live ROCKI?
"ROCKI: A Hybrid User-Centric Music Streaming Ecosystem Powered By The ROCKS Token Promotions"
Powered by the ROCKS token, ROCKI should enter the public beta phase before the end of 2020. I have no doubt that the CHOON experience will be beneficial and that it will arrive operational and fully functional. This was also the great strength of CHOON. All the artists who had a CHOON account will have nothing else to do but wait until the opening of this beta. For the others, you can join this beta following this link. The WhitePaper is available here (september 2020). To keep in touch, here are the ROCKI telegram and the Twitter. They say: "ROCKI is not a new version of Choon, it’s a new company, new token & tokenomics and new streaming platform.". Let's be patient. With a certain impatience on my part, it's true.. because CHOON was amazing, and provided some really nice royalties incomes.
Is this good news?
Yes, this is great news! The current landscape of music blockchain platforms for independent artists is close to the desert. Emanate, for example, is trying to make a go of it, and looks promising. Even if I personally find that its development is lagging behind. We should not forget that CHOON was the best blockchain based music platform. And this, despite its setbacks and its final closure in December 2019. Within some musical communities, polemics still rage. Some artists do not want to hear about this new platform. This is a mistake! The ecosystem of the blockchain and particularly that of the musical blockchain is still fragile. Take the case of Musicoin, the first big platform on blockchain music, the project has also totally collapsed. The site is now in a state of freeze. There has been no communication about what happened. On their Official Telegram, it's all about migrating to a new music coin. A swap. But what's about the website? About the new coin implementation? Nothing. I wish them success. In the meantime, ROCKI is a very good news in this music industry landscape!
As soon as the beta is launched, which shouldn't be long now, I'll do a new article about ROCKI. Until then, keep ROCKIN'! :0)
Let's ROCK!
...and you will also help the author collect more tips.
Yeah, that's good news. I just wonder why a separate token is invented for each project. Nobody knows if such tokens will ever be worth anything. Why are no established coins used. If they want to handle problems with volatility, there are stable coins.
