Fighting The Urge

Not all actions are true and pure, some are for good while some are evil. Thoughts of the mind brew out actions of the hands and we are the ones who would tell and lecture ourselves into deciding which action to take or not to take, talk ourselves into deciding to fight the urge or not. Most people have self control over their bodies while some don't and will later fall slave to the thoughts of the mind. Dangerous thoughts would have disastrous endings and a life-time scar feeling on the perpetrator regardless of whether he/she feels the guilt or not. I, as an example, have this irresistible urge to always find something to eat regardless of whether I had eaten or not, I just want to be found mouthing on something or nibbling away on a snack and this act doesn't tell well on my pocket as it makes me spend unnecessarily, leaving me without budgets or pull-backs money.

Have you ever fought off an urge or a desire to do something before, be it a good thing or a bad thing ? The urge to do something that isn't that much important but also trivial. An urge, would be that irresistible force or impulse to delve in an act at hand. We fight off a lot of urges most times, as on careful consideration they seem to hurt or dent our social image and look unnecessary and something one could do away with. Some urges are bad to commit and inflict damage or pain to the person it is being done on or the doer. A lot of us fight away the desire to do things at most times and mainly because we evaluated it and it fell short on luck. Procrastination also can be related to fighting an urge,  Procrastination is the act of delaying or shifting an intended task to be done further in time, it might be in a bid to cover up another chores or deal with an impromptu.

What urges do we fight secretly behind our closed doors? We are not all perfect and must have shortcomings in a way or the other but are those short comings a worthy one to tell or have a friend know about? We have to answer this question as if the answer to it is NO, then those shortcomings have to be fought. Eating beyond by financial budget is a shortcoming on my part but it is still presentable to friends and can be laughed over and with time, it can be fought and won over completely. Addiction also reduces ones fighting  power over urges as we see it as à normal act and that it bare no harm to us.

We should always and at all times have self control over ourselves and work towards the betterment of our reputation and image. In all we do, we should always look and try to leap to good standings and acts that glorifies and puts us at peace.

My friend, you said it very well. It is very important to be able to control our inner desires. As you said, this control over ourselves can have a huge impact on our social image.
