The Art of Rest
After spending a lot of time struggling with routines that rack the brain and energy, it's good for us to have time to rest. Even though it's a little, but when that time can be used optimally, then our work will also benefit.
When we have reached the saturation point, it means we have to rest, stop thinking about the heavy stuff. Why? Because forcing yourself will not give maximum results. If routine is like a tornado, we need to go out for a moment, observe, and think about how we can tame the tornado. Yes, our minds also have limits.
However, for some people, rest is not easy. The heart intends to take a break, but what is the power of the routine that forces oneself to continue to struggle. Sometimes the greater one's responsibility, if one cannot divide his time well, then that person feels enslaved by his own routine. Can't sleep, can't turn off the phone, can't take a rest in peace. This makes rest time seem useless. In the end it hurts.
There are several things we need to realize from the importance of rest. First, rest the body. Second, rest the mind. These two things need to be fulfilled to get optimal results, especially if we are in the middle of an unfinished problem. Resting the body will restore stamina, but without resting the mind, we still have the same level of exhaustion as we were before the break, we will not have enough energy to move. The result, sleepy, tired, unfocused, etc.
For some people who rarely rest, this activity seems risky to do, or a waste of time, or even dangerous. However, what you need to know, resting means loving and taking care of ourselves. If we are among those who consider rest to be in vain, then don't take rest in vain. Put down our tasks for a moment and give ourselves space to enjoy the beauty of life. Remember, our life is not only behind the desk. There are family, there are relatives, there are friends, moreover there is always God.
The most concrete type of rest is sleep, and this is a must. Don't let us not sleep well, so that our sleeping hours are turned upside down.
If necessary, schedule the ideal bedtime and make it a quality sleep. Another type of rest is to do something away from the daily routine. If we always use the brain to work, rest with our brain activity, or physical activity as a counterweight.
Alright my friends.
The bottom line is that it works great. But if you work so hard that you forget your own good, that's just as bad as bad. Rest is an art, namely the art of making the best use of time. If during our work we serve others. So suppose that rest is to serve ourselves.
We all need a break from time to time for both body and mind. Otherwise we will be exhausted.
