First Sunday, first blessings

Good afternoon y'all, I wish you all the compliment of the season, it's great to be hear with you again this year and I'm glad that y'all made it to 2022, I must tell you that it wasn't an easy journey and you too would agree to that because we all had our rough moments in the year 2021, it's a good thing that we all made it into 2022 safe and sound and it's a big congratulations to you all. Happy Sunday to everyone that went to church today, I hope your church service was a remarkable one, it's the first Sunday of they year, why won't it be?... Mine was actually splendid and I'm going to go a little spiritual today even though it's not my specialty but I guess I just have to do this, maybe as per the first worship day of the year. Let's dive in...

Today was a blessed day I must say, I've really got something as a jet pack to make me soar this year. The message was OUR NEW LIFE AND RENEWED SERVICE BEFORE GOD.

One thing that must grow in our life this year if at all we don't want to grow at all is our commitment to serving God. I'm guilty of this and I know that, and I hope to be more consecrated to God's work and serve him better than the previous years. For our service to be acceptable by God, we must:

• Live our Life with simplicity

Its very important to know that God isn't really interested in doing what he hasn't sent us, we can go extra mile to do very great work on behalf of God but He's much more interested in our lives. As a Christian, we must not be interested in the things of the world, chasing the world can never end, be simple... Don't let the attractive things of the world lure you into sin.

• Be diligent

God cherishes diligence, has be sent you somewhere? Go there immediately and do not delay. Jonah wasn't diligent when God sent him to Nineveh and that was why he deviated and was swallowed by the fish. I know we all know the story but if we're diligent with God's work, he'll surely bless us abundantly.

• Always be cheerful

In doing God's work, do not complain. If it's not convenient for you to do at that time, instead of you to start complaining or murmuring, it's best that you don't touch his work because God only rewards the people that have done his work with cheerfulness and a clean heart.

• Know your place

What do I mean by knowing your place? It's possible God has put you somewhere as a pastor or whatsoever he has given you to do, but you have a Friend that happens to be a little over you in the place God has put him, don't envy such a person because God has put you where you'd be able to blossom and prosper. He gave an example that if it's possible that our wrist watches can talk and reason, and this little wrist watch sees the big clock that's hung at the city square, this wristwatch might start asking why he's not placed so high to the position of the big clock. Let's now say perhaps, this clock finds his way to the top, it'll be so insignificant and useless because no body can even tell what time it says up there. It'd lose its value compared to where it was reachable on your wrist. This exactly is the way God has placed all of us, we are different and have our abilities that differ, just make sure you use your ability to produce the maximum output that you can from where God has placed you...
