Saturday in disguise One major thing about the month of April is that Easter mostly falls in this month. That means many christians will be preparing for the Easter either in their church or in their houses. Every year, my church always holds Easter on a camping ground. We go there on holy Thursday and come back on Easter Monday. It has been a family tradition for over 20 years in my house to the point that even some of our extended family and family friends join us and it's always fun and full of memories. it can be the same for some of you too. My mum who has gotten her leave from work has been at home resting so she has alot of energy to observe everything going on in the house . On Sunday night, she told us ( my siblings and I ) that we should start packing for camp but before we do that, we need to clean the whole house. We were all complaining because anytime she says" clean the whole house", she means we should throw or give out anything we aren't using again to free up space but the main thing about cleaning up the house is that most of the time, the old things still stays because she always has some sort of sentimental value to it. So yesterday night, my elder sister and I decided to let go of some of the old things in the house that is taking space to free the house up alittle bit. The first thing we started with was our baby crib. The crib has been in our house for over 22 years. The first born used it down to the last. My mum has never wanted to let that crib go because she always said that when we get married and have kids, our kids will also use it and it was made of a really strong wood so it's real quality. It sounds cute right. But it was always funny to us because ***we feel that when we start having kids maybe inventors would have created floating cribs***. I know my thinking is wild but it's fun to imagine. The crib was very big and nowadays, people make small and detachable cribs. So we all convinced her that when we have kids, we'll get her a new crib. So at last and after years of begging her to give it out, she finally gave it out to one of our in-laws. The next thing was a late 90's sound system. To be honest with you guys, I don't remember using that sound system in my house. It was just there for sentimental reasons. My mum claims it still works though but the sound system uses tape. My immediate younger sister who is 13 years old doesn't even know how a tape looks like. She has been claiming that the sound system was a top notch that era but we tell her that nowadays, youths stream music online and we don't need a big sound system like this to play it. There were other things too but if I start going it all of it, I think I'll want to bring the back to the house again. One thing have realized is that as the years goes by, things evolve. Some might depreciate in value while some will never let go of it's worth. But the main thing in all of this is too always remember how good it was when it was around and always keep memories Thanks for reading 💕🤭.

Report card day One thing I never really liked about secondary school was closing day, that is, closing for the term. Not because I don't like holidays but it is because it's the day of reckoning. Reckoning in the sense that our teachers will give us our report card to show our parents. By the way, it's not all students that will let the report card will reach their parents. Some parents will have to come get it themselves. I was never a low grade student but the thought that comes in before you get your report card is like torture. You'll feel as though you didn't do your best or your Nigerian parents will ask you that "the people that carried first, do they have two heads". Believe me, till today I don't know why they always use that quote as a threat because it didn't work on me, it's what was in my mind I'll still do cause I know I put my best in it. Maybe when I have children someday I'll understand. So my younger sisters are closing for the Easter break today and they went to school to get their report cards. Before they went to school, my mum has been reminding them of how they used this whole term to watch TV and took most of their time preparing for inter house sport in which they got a silver and bronze medal for running. I've been laughing since last week because of all the drama at home. So this morning they went to school, they didn't come back till after 3 in the afternoon. I thought they wanted to come late because they didn't like their results. Before they got home, my mum was waiting for them in the living room to know what she'll do to them . When they arrived, they were laughing at each other. I thought they've finally gotten the first my mum has been saying since but no, they were laughing because they were talking about BTS and they said that their school would give them their results next week Wednesday, which means that they have only this weekend for holiday until their resumption because we are going for our annual Easter camp next week ( I'd talk about my experience there very soon 😄). At least they're kind of lucky, in my time there was no such thing as postponed result... What I can't wait for is the way they will give reasons for their failure or success next week. Especially my immediate younger sister, who always has a reason for everything. In all, we should always celebrate children for their successes and correct them when they fail while encouraging them to do better, though I don't think report card should be the best judge of that.

The life unknown to me I never imagined that this month will be a fascinating month. Since the first day of April till today, I've experienced alot of things After I finished writing my article on ' the dreamer', my sister read the article and forwarded it to her Whatsapp status for people to read. To her surprise, a coursemate of hers told her that he would guide me on graphic designing. When she told me, I was jumping for joy because I never imagined that my dreams would be answered that fast. I chatted the guy up and he explained to me on what to do. I don't even know how to thank him because I'm sure he is God sent. I'm so excited because this is the first time I'm telling or writing about something that made me feel bad and I've realized how good it is to talk about things be it good or bad. For the past two days, I didn't have time to come to read.cash to write because alot of things came up which I want to tell you guys about. On Saturday that is 2nd of April, a friend of my mum stopped by the house to greet her. He asked my mum whether we'd ( my sis and I) like to work during the strike and my mum told him yes but we haven't gotten a job in the meantime . So he told my mum about a factory and the factory can employ us, that he has a friend who is a manager there. My mum asked for the price, and it looked fair. So she asked him “what kind of factory job is it?” and he said“ he isn't sure, we'll know about it when we start”. She asked when can we start, and he said on Monday, that is, 4th of April. But he said we shouldn't dress too much that the place doesn't require fashion. And he said we should be there before 7am. So yesterday morning, I got up so early around 5:30 am and I got to the factory company around past six. The manager took us to his inspector, his inspector is a Lebanese man. The Lebanese man looked nice but he told us he only had space for one person but he said he'll see what he can do. He took us to where they make peanut, the place looked discouraging and it was filled with people who were battling with speaking good English, they mostly looked like drop outs. He show us a lady who will be our trainer on what we were to do. The lady told us how the work will be, that the work starts from 7am and ends by 7pm and also there is day and night shift. That is, if you work in the day this week, you will work in the night next week. I was already feeling discouraged because I can't give 12 hours a day to a factory work for little pay and also there is no time to rest because it's an everyday job except Sundays, the only reason why I didn't say much at first when she said all those things is because I didn't know the work I'll be doing there yet and also my mum's friend wanted to help out, I didn't want t look ungrateful. She also said that only one person can work in the day and the other has to cone in the night. I decided to stay while my sister went back home. On waiting for her to tell me what to do, I was looking around and saw that the place was filled with manual labourers but I didn't say anything because I wasn't expecting to work there. She came back after some time and only told me to write my name, she didn't ask for anything else like my phone number or my house address or even a guarantor. It was already a red flag for me because I don't know why a work place won't have records of their employees. Like what if something happens to them, who will they contact?. She took me to where they manufacture the peanut. My work was to carry 17kg of flour and 21 kg of ground with a big bucket of syrup and mix everything together in a big machine, the problem with the machine is that I have to put my hand in the machine and be rolling the flour with the groundnut and syrup so that everything will be even and the groundnuts won't stick together. It was so heavy and hard to turn, I did it 10 times till I was asked to go for a break by 12 noon, the break is for 1 hour. A girl named blessing came to introduce herself to me and showed me around. The factory makes peanuts, sweet and sausage rolls. But we're in the peanut session, I asked her that were we going to swap with the remaining workers in the packaging unit because the packing unit was easier than the manufacturing unit but she said no that where they put us is where we'll stay except they move us there themselves. I asked her for how long has she been doing this job, she said for a year that it gets easier as time goes by. I already knew in my mind that I can never get used to that kind of work. I chatted my sister up and told her not to come in the night that it wasn't worth it. After the 1 hour break elapsed, I wanted to run away but it didn't look right in my eyes because somebody brought me in the first place, I won't want the man to have a bad record. I continued the work and was patiently waited for 7pm to reach so that I'll reach home and never come back. The Lebanese man came to check on the progress on the work and saw me, he said the tiredness in my face and said" it's been long you've don't this kind of work right don't worry you'll get used to it", I tried to explain to him that there must have been a misunderstanding because I've never don't that kind of work before in my life. He didn't get me so I just kept quiet. Around 5 pm after I've already done 15 rounds, I couldn't do it again, my whole body was paining me, a girl came to take over from me and was telling me that I need to put it more effort because they do like 22 to 25 rounds per day. I was shocked because it looked to them like Asif I wasn't trying my best. Blessing came to ask me if I was coming the next day, I said no. She laughed because she thought I was joking. Around 6.30 pm, we were asked to clean up all what we used to that night shift worked will take over. I cleaned up everywhere, greeted everybody and went home. On getting home, my mum's friend called to ask how it was. I told him I'm not strong enough to that kind of work. He told me to at least do it work a month and I told him that if I do it for more than a day, I'll fall sick. He understood and apologized and told me that he'll find an easier work for me. I don't want him to worry because I know what's good for me, besides I'm already comfortable in read.cash and I am happy I'll soon start my graphic designing class.

The dreamer Is it just me or is this year is going fast?. I can remember vividly what has been happening in my life since the beginning of the year. I really have some happy moments but I don't want to tell you guys about it until the end of this year because it's still a work in progress. Let me not lie, the strike that is happening in my university is really affecting me (not in a bad way though). I know people will say "go learn a trade", "go learn a skill", "read a book", " get a hobby". But let us face the fact, it doesn't really matter because once you're in a position for too long and you don't see growth, you get tired and focus on another things. I've gained admission to the university since 2019 and I'm just starting 200level, and it really isn't smooth but I keep pushing forward. Just like what my dad always says" do your things at the right time so that you won't be coming back for it when you've passed the stage". That quote has really helped me because now I'm more alert and I want to follow my peers and do the innovative things that are doing. Since the strike started in February, I started learning some basic computer skills because before now I really didn't know anything about tech and I'm studying a technology course in the university, it's funny right. Maybe because I didn't have the drive before or maybe because I'm not coming from a family that is into tech stuffs that much or maybe because most of my friends are art related students but all these things is about finding your purpose and follow it. As I was learning the skills, I realized how much I love doing those things so I decided to follow it up . Some of my Friends have been tell me to read my school books to be waiting for when resumption starts so that when we resume, the school books will be like a revision. But I ask myself, am I going to be waiting for a Nigerian university that doesn't guarantee my success in life it mostly guarantee that you've gone through that stage. But mind you, I still carry my books from time to time but not in a way that it's my priority. So back to my basic learning computer skills, it came to my notice that I don't know graphic designing. Which isn't a good thing because graphic designing is like the new deal, even small children have an idea of it. I got a link from my sister to apply for a scholarship that is strictly women to help them grow in a skill "ingressive for good", I don't know if you all knew about the scholarship then because it was more of a women affair but the only thing is that they were giving only 1000 women the scholarship out of over 19k that applied for it. I applied for the scholarship early February but the results didn't come out till April. I actually thought I was going to get it but unfortunately, I didn't but I'm happy my sister got it, I'm so proud of her. Not getting the scholarship hasn't stopped me tho because during my waiting process, I realized I didn't have to get a scholarship to know graphic designing, there are many courses online that gives it for free too. But my main issue is that I don't know where to start, people are telling me to use Canva while others are telling me to use Adobe. I'm actually looking for an app that'll take baby steps with me, Incase you know of one, you can help a friend out and drop it in my comment session. Till then I'll still keep being a dreamer and achieve my dreams.

Friends We all have had different friends in different stages of our lives. Right from elementary school. But, what makes us change them as time goes by? Well, there are many reasons for change though. My first best friend was when I was in prep 1, I always followed her every where. Anytime she brings food to school that isn't like my food, I don't eat my food because I felt that best friends are supposed to eat the same food everytime. She was taller than me, lighter than me, her mum was the Librarian of the school so she knew how to read before I could read. Little did I know that she was my best friend but I wasn't her best friend.“ yes, there is something like one-sided friendship”. She always hanged out with another girl that could read like her and they both remained best friends till we left primary school. I wasn't upset that she chose another girl over me. I took it as a lesson to always find a person that is of like minds as you. My next best friend was when I was in junior secondary school. She was the exact opposite of me. She was tough, short and also knows how to fight people. I really liked her, I don't even know why. Maybe the adage that says" unlike attracts" really worked at that time for me. But we drew apart because she started hanging out with other people that are not bookworms like me and also, I transferred to another secondary school. So we lost all communication. We could have kept the communication going though but there was really nothing to say to each other. She didn't see the world like the way I saw the world. So we drifted instantly My third best friend was when I transferred to another secondary school. Fun fact **:-we were in the same primary school and also in the same class in primary 3 but we never spoke to each other because I was busy focusing on my prep 1 best friend .** She was almost like me, we both had almost the same dreams . We've even planned our weddings together that we'll do chief brides maid for each other. Our academic level was almost the same so that means that I might pass her in a particular subject and she might pass me in another subject. We told each other everything, she had a boyfriend that time which I didn't like so I was looking for all opportunities for them to break up. Luckily for me, the later broke up . What drifted us apart was when we chose different choices in university. It was hard to keep up with each other after then but mind you, were still close. Friends change in every point in our lives because we actually change ourselves, from different environment to different perspective. Your best friend today can just be a stranger tomorrow just because of lack of understanding. What I'll just say is that always make make memories with your new friend because that will be something worth holding on to .

Sister's love I would have started my normal introduction of greeting you guys but I'm sure you're all doing great. I was about to sleep until I realized I haven't written today. I wanted to write about “would you rather” but I just had the urge in my heart to write about my sister. I'm sure some of you are having thoughts in your head like" what's the big deal of writing about your siblings", well you won't find out because you've never written about them. I want to tell you guys about my elder sister. I have five sisters but the age gap between me and the remaining three is alot so we don't argue or chat like the way my elder sister and I do. But there is still a connection with the rest of them, I'm sure I'll write about them soon. The first born She is our experimental girl. When I mean experimental, I mean that she is the one that always leads us to either follow a path or go somewhere else. And the experimental part means that if it goes wrong, the rest of us will take cover and run. My parents always leave her in charge when they are not around which is normal because you cannot leave somebody like me in charge, I'll just disorganize the whole house. It's nice having her as an elder sister, we argue more than we chat but I think in the long run, that's how we got ourselves. She is very nice and strict at the same time, you must always follow her rules, if not you'll see the other side of her. Luckily she has me as a sister who doesn't follow anything she says😎😎. Her main hobby is to sing. She doesn't really have a spectacular voice for singing but she sings anyway. I use to think that she sings to just block my ears but now I'm getting used to it. Anytime both of us walk together, they think we're twins. I don't know why they'll think that way because we don't look anything alike. Anytime I have a problem in school, she's the one I turn to for advise, she advises to her ability. She is a major prayer warrior. Anytime she leads morning devotion, we all just cancel our plans for that morning because only God that knows when she'll finish praying. There were times I wished that I had another elder sister who is like me but now I've realized that she I the best that God gave me. I'm not afraid to tell her anything neither am I afraid to confide in her. The person that made this kind of bond possible is my mum. My mum is always there to try and settle anything and she always remind us that we both need each other in our lives and we shouldn't make a mistake of letting misunderstanding come in the way. I love my mum so much because she gave me the happiness that I get writing about my sister. Alot of you might not be close to your siblings one way or the other so please remember that nobody can ever replace your siblings. Find time to go on outings with them or even talk about your future goals with them. I think I'll stop here for today, before I forget, if you haven't subscribed please do 🥺 and also sponsor your girl Thanks , have a lovely day💕

Fundraising isn't for everybody This is last day of February and I've been seeing alot of post that is based on people's profit on read.cash this month. Too bad I didn't really make any profit and it was really my fault because I haven't really been consistent. But now, I'll put in more effort this coming month and I'll make my subscribers and sponsors proud. By the way, if you haven't subscribed, please do🥺. Encourage your girl. So let me give you guys a recap on how I joined a fundraising committee. I'm in my second year in the university so I said to my self that it's high time I join a club and make impact in school other than just reading books all day. So I decided to join the red cross society. Red cross is a very big society that almost everybody in the world know about it. Right from children to adults and I was so excited to be part of an organization like that . It was a fateful evening, my sister posted a link on her Whatsapp status that red cross is recruiting people and they need volunteers. I quickly asked her what the society was about and she explained so I joined the group. We were over 70 that registered for red cross in my university so it was only normal for them to conduct an interview. The interview was divided into three sections. Oral interview Paper test And the most important one Physical test The oral interview was supposed to be an easy task, we were first asked to fill in the questionnaire before going to meet our interviewers . In the questionnaire, they asked questions like what do you want to do in red cross and most importantly, what committee do you want to join. The committee a person wants to join is very important because that's where you'll stay till you graduate. I chose the **WELFARE COMMITTEE.** The welfare committee looks like a place I'll want because what they do is to check on other members on the red cross to make sure they are okay and I've very good with checking up on people, too bad nobody checks up on me🥺. Anyways, I was called to the interview room. They asked alot of questions and I answered with alot of confidence and sincerity. But they asked question that was tricky. They asked “ can you contribute to red cross”. And with full confidence, I said “yes”thinking that it was just an interview strategy for me to enter into the organization. Days passed and the results were out, I was so happy because I passed and I was allowed to move to the next stage of the interview. But to my surprise I saw my name shortlisted for **FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE😳** So I went to my commandant's DM (head of red cross) and I told her that there was a mistake. I'm in fundraising committee instead of welfare committee. She said that there was no mistake and they judged from my interview and said that I'll be able to raise money for them in the organization. I'm sure these people are playing with me because I never told them that I'm a people's person and I also never told them that I know how to ask people for money. I'm sure the interviewers didn't like me😭😭, that's why they put me in a place I won't be comfortable in. Incase you guys are looking for me, just know that I am trying to raise money for red cross🥺

The life of a freshman( roomies edition) Hey guys, what's up? I know I haven't been consistent lately but I'll try my best to get right on track. I have been given some free time and this is the best way to use it. So in my last two post, I talked about “ My experience as a fresher". Well I was too serious that time and I made it look like I didn't have other activities and memories, well I had alot. As I am typing, I don't know where to begin. Let me talk about when I moved into the hall of residence (hostel). I was so excited to leave my parents house that I even packed things that I didn't need, I almost took all my mum's kitchen utensils thinking that I'll practice my inner talent as a chef😏. When I got to the hostel, I stood Infront of my room like a confused girl, that was when I met Jane. Jane was an art student so she was very lively and social unlike me that doesn't talk to alot of people. She offered to show me around so we went round the hostel together ( I didn't even realize she was a freshman like me with the way she was very bold and knew everything about the hostel). So we started talking and we bonded, I realized that, that would be my best hostel mate in the hostel. We went back to my room that was when I met my bunk mate. Her name was Tomi, she was very quiet and so extra( by extra, I mean, she brought excess luggages like cupboard, curtain, mat, table, chair, 3 pillows, a shoe rack, she even brought a mini tv etc) I thought she wanted to live in the room forever. Evening came, that was went I met my other room mate, Vicky, Vicky was like an“every guy type of girl". When she entered, she asked me immediately if I wanted to meet her boyfriend. I was really shocked because I was wondering how she had a boyfriend in less than a week. I just said politely “ I want to read my book". They all bursted into laughter. I was so confused on why they were laughing, tomi then said “school hasn't started fully, what do you want to be reading, do you even know your course materials?". I answered like a nerd newbie“ it's good to read everytime so that you will not fail". They all bursted into laughter again . I felt so shy, so I decided to sleep. Before I continue, I would like to thank my sponsor for all the support and I'll like to ask that you guys should sponsor me. Help your girl out🥺🥺 So weeks passed and we all started bonding, we cooked together, we shared some of our things, we even argued on alot of occasion. Then one night, Vicky came back and was crying. Tomi and I was very concerned, we asked what was wrong and she said“ Danny broke up with me”. Tomi and I weren't surprised because Danny was like her third boyfriend in less than twelve weeks. So we advised her to stay clear of boys for the rest of the session, we thought she would comply but before we knew it, she had a new boyfriend. His name was tunde. She said tunde was her soulmate. From that moment, Tomi and I gave up on her matter. So it was towards the end of the session, we all decided to have a memorable experience. We decided to have a picnic, Jane joined even though she wasn't our room mate but she was like a family already. Our plan was to contribute money to at least 20k for all the expenses and outing we'll do. To be honest, I don't even know how we managed to brings out some money because we were all broke.( In university, it's normal to not have any money at the end of the session, in Nigeria, we say SAPA has come). We managed to get at least 15k and we all went out to watch a movie, we also went to the zoo. I was so happy because that was my first time in a zoo and we played truth or dare. I don't want to tell you guys what we talked about🙈, so I'll have to end here for today. As you're reading it, tell me the most memorable experience you has while you were in the university as a freshman. Have a lovely day 💕

Valentine's day, isn't it just another Monday? Hey guys, what's up? I know today must have been a very special for some of you but to the rest to you that didn't have a Val, I hope your day went well? before I write my part two on my fresher's experience, I want to tell you guys of how my Valentine's day went. It all started when I woke up very late to go for lectures. I rushed to school, I even prayed a short prayer, I forgot today was Valentine's day because it felt like a regular Monday for me like the rest of us single folks. On getting to school, I had my first two lectures and they went smoothly even though I almost missed the attendance but I was lucky enough to be in class when it was been taken. After the class, I opened my phone and I saw on Twitter that ASUU has embarked on a warning strike that is for a month.(ASUU means Academic Staff Union of Universities). To be honest I don't know how many times they want to warn federal government to increase their allowance. The sad thing is that it's the students that are getting affected. I'm still in 200 level and I gained admission 2019. Do they want me to grow old in school? The strike has made me to start reflecting on things to learn and businesses on how to make money, thank God read.cash is here, I'll get other things too for at least this month. let me forget about ASUU matter for now and tell you guys about my lovely day. After I heard the news about the strike, I was very sad so my friends and I wanted to cheer ourselves up by doing some fun games and making fun of ourselves that we didn't get a val. I'm an engineering student and so valentine day isn't something to be celebrating when I have alot of books to read but when I got to faculty of arts, they were doing alot of activities and people were winning prizes and it felt like a big deal for them. I totally didn't expect my best friend to buy me a headset on Valentine's day, the excitement on my face was just too much but I felt special and somebody actually remembered me( remember valentine is not for only boyfriend and girlfriend oo, it's to show love too). Today was more of a normal day for me but that headset made me soo happy because I really wanted it, I hope you guys put a smile on somebody's face today and you weren't busy breaking people's heart just like some of my friends were doing although I was lucky not to be pranked today even though one of my friends got a prank call from a dispatch rider to have brought her a surprise package from her secret val, I could see the joy in her face as she ran downstairs for the rider but couldn't find him. She called his number again and he said "go back and read your book". She was really pissed at the moment and all I could do was to console her and cheer her up. I can't even imagine being pranked, I just hope y'all had fun as much as I did!!! Share your experience in the box below 👇 Thanks for reading ❤️

My experience as a fresher Happy Sunday to everyone, I hope I met you all well and good. I really appreciate the words of encouragement that everyone put on my last post and I'm glad to say that I have resolved the issue even though it wasn't that easy. Today, I'll be taking you through my journey as a fresher in the university. A lot of people especially Nigerians would agree with me that the fresher's life is always as funny as it may seem and I'll try to make this also as interesting as it can be. I was admitted to this great university, the university of Ibadan popularly known as the "first and the best". Well, we have a lot of arguments about this quote because of the system in the university but I guess other universities also have their flaws and I feel the work load in the university of Ibadan really makes it the first and best. As soon as I got admitted into this university, my friends and family members started telling me stories they should have told me before I got my Jamb form, I must tell you that I was terrified with the way they painted this school as a very strict and difficult school to attend, my first fear was becoming a fresher from the senior I was in my secondary school, that alone was enough to kill my morale but as soon as I resumed, I noticed that no one really cared about what level you are because we even have people in 100 level that are older in age compared to some people that are finalists, probably they are on their second degree or got admitted into the university later than they expected. The word "fresher" almost became an offensive one to me because of the way people made it seem, I was indeed a fresher but I wasn't new in UI, my primary and secondary education was in the premises of the university and I was sure to know the in and out of this university even more than some finalists but no one cared. The fresher blood could still be spotted in me by any stallite and I wondered why. well, not until I became a stallite and I noticed this new intakes and they way they generally behave, it was kind of obvious that they were new into the system. I had a very funny experience in my 100l, there's this thing that stallites do, I'll call it a tradition, they call it 'CTY'. It stands for Catch Them Young, it's a term used to explain how old students approach new students to guide them through the system and maybe the dos and don'ts of the system. My First day in school when I was looking for how to pay my fees, this guy approached me and asked my why I was looking lost, I explained to him how I was confused on where to pay my fees, he explained that I could pay online and he could be of help if I wanted but I was obviously not dumb enough to give him my money to pay for any reason, I rejected his offer and I could see the pain in his face as he directed me to the Cyber cafe where I made my payments, he collected my number too and explained that he was a 400l student in my faculty, I asked for his name and he gave me his full name and I noted it down immediately because I had my reasons. As expected, he messaged me on WhatsApp at night and started making his moves, the first turn off was that I can't even be with someone that's almost done with school as he claimed, not even minding the fact that he looked way older than me. I immediately remembered his name and reached for my sister's laptop to check the newly released "book of life", this is a PDF that has the CGPA of all the students of the university. I searched for his name hurriedly and the corresponding CGPA, his name was below the list of his department which either means he was asked to withdraw from the faculty or the university, I asked my sister what withdrawal meant and she said he was out of the university because his CGPA was below 1.0, I was utterly disappointed and blocked his number immediately. He gave a few phone calls and I asked him never to call me again. I have a lot to write about my experiences, maybe I'd continue this as a series. Watch out for the next "The life of a fresher". Thanks for reading ❤️

Are you depressed? I am depressed Good morning, it's a good Sunday morning here and I'm sure y'all must have been thinking that I've disappeared again, just like I do on a norm. Yeah, I actually did disappear but guess what, I'm back😂 Am I really back? That I can not say for sure because it has been a very long school run in the last two weeks, I haven't been able to settle down into the school hostel yet because of some complications from the university authority and the fresh students are to be admitted into the hostels first before the can consider the existing students that you call stallites. I have been on that accomodation issue for over a week now even though I haven't started classes yet. Well, my faculty hasn't started classes but one of the courses we borrowed from sciences have held a class and it's not easy for me to go to school from my house to receive lectures and that's how my days have been going though. I wish to be back fully but I can't say that for sure now... Thanks for understanding... **Are you depressed?...** Let us first start with what depression means actually. Depression can be defined as a state of mind that is characterized with being confused and a very low esteem maybe due to some psychological trauma from our daily activities. It's really a very troubled state of mind that keeps one silent. It's indeed the silent killer. I'm going to share one of my experiences that could have led me to depression this week. It's was just last week Monday when my school opened the students portal for the payment of school fees, I'm not my sponsor, so I put a call to my dad to tell him about the development and he promised to send me the money which he did the second day, Tuesday but the fear of paying through my bank card due to the stories I've heard where people tried paying with their cards and they had multiple debits without even completing the transaction. I decided to go to the bank and go through the long process to pay the fees, my Dad actually offered that he paid the school fees for me but I didn't want to disturb and stress him, so I decided to go to the remitta page and download the teller, I withdrew from the ATM and headed for the bank. The delay I got before entering the bank was just annoying but I couldn't leave because the university had also set a deadline for Friday and I also had other registrations to do before the deadline. I finally got my way into the bank and made the payments exactly how I've been doing it since I've gained admission into this school. I left the bank after hours and had to rush to my class that I almost missed and I didn't even have time to check if the payment had reflected on my portal or not, I got back home and charged my phone to check my portal and I couldn't find my #23,000 fees. I was still thinking it was network issues until I checked the receipt I got from the bank. ***I had paid into a wrong account*** 🙆🙆🙆 I couldn't hold my tears as hot tears rolled down my cheeks and I couldn't tell my dad because he offered to help me which I foolishly rejected, I checked my BCH wallet and all I had didn't pass #10,000. If I'm to be honest, I came back to readcash to hustle more maybe I'd beat the deadline before Friday and if not, I'd have to either call home or borrow from my friends... Thanks for reading my pathetic story😓

NFTs 2 Lead image https://qz.com/1982872/an-nft-backed-jpeg-sold-for-69-3-million-at-a-christies-auction/amp/ Good evening everyone, I hope you all had a great day. I did too with tons of work that I did today. Woke up to my laundry this morning and didn't finish it until late this afternoon before I got the rest I needed which I just got up from. It's definitely going to be a long night because I have substituted my night rest for am afternoon nap. It's all well tho, I started this topic yesterday and I have no idea when I'm going to end it but I don't think it's anytime soon provided that my people here are learning and I'm earning, then we keep grinding. Before I continue, take a brief look at my sponsors, they give the best contents and you might want to learn one or two from their pages. **NFTs continues...** I promised to talk more about the psychological hype behind this tech or concept and if you're yet to read the introduction to NFTs, you can do that from the link to have a proper understanding and overview of what I'm talking about here. https://read.cash/@Okeh/introduction-to-nfts-03c1311d ***The psychological hype*** Right from time, humans grow interest in certain things and these things differ from person to person but it's seen that what we tend to value in recent times seems to be changing due to the advancement in technology, we want people to know how wealthy we are and that's the reason behind the NFTs concept. I talked about Blockchain in the previous article, it validates transaction data and it's different from the bank because not just one computer or person validates the data on the Blockchain but a series of computers all over the world where it is shown to everyone how transactions are made. This is exactly the concept brought into NFTs, since we can send transaction data from person to person and it's being validated by quite a number of other computers around the world, why can't I sell the certificate of ownership of whatever NFT I want to? The Blockchain just validates the sell and purchase data and this is why people want to buy expensive artworks, video clips and so on at a very high price. Another question that's frequently asked is "can I just sell any picture as an NFT?" Well, you can mint any picture as an NFT. You can feel you look so beautiful and someone would love to own your picture, but I'll tell you that you won't sell fast or it might go for a cheap price, not that you're not beautiful but there's really no emotional attachment to that picture. What do I mean? An jpeg was sold for $69,346,250. Wow 😳 that's a huge amount for just a jpeg and you would wonder who would spend so much on just a jpeg. A gif that sold for $69.3 million Photo credits https://qz.com/1982872/an-nft-backed-jpeg-sold-for-69-3-million-at-a-christies-auction/amp/ The reason behind this insane price is the emotional value, this gif was made by an artist who collected all his first 5000 artworks into just one gif. How valuable is that? I'd definitely value this more than just a random person's picture that I see in the market. Emotional value keeps the price high. The first ever tweet by Jack Dorsey on March 22, 2006 was also sold as an NFT for $2,915,835.47. The fact that it is the first tweet ever on a popular social media, tweeter makes it this expensive. What was said in the tweet isn't what gave it the value, it's the age and how adorable it is to own the first tweet ever that gave it that value. This tweet was bought by Sina Estavi, Malaysia based Blockchain technology company bridge Oracle CEO. We all value different things but there must be an emotional attachment, if you can find the emotional attachment of most people, you'd definitely sell on the NFT market. I'm on the search of @MarcDeMesel 's emotional attachments🤣🤣🤣, probably he'd buy my NFT too... To be continued... Thanks for reading ❤️

Introduction to NFTs **#12** **Tuesday** **25/01/2022** Good afternoon everyone, I hope y'all had a good night rest? I did too even though it was short and cold. These recent nights have been specifically cold and this harmattan had also been so dry and my experience with this harmattan and the charges that come with this weather is also surprising on its own (*yeah, electric charges😂*). Just yesterday, I went out to pack my clothes that I just sun-dried in less than two hours, on my way back in, I could hear some sparks on the cloth but it still felt normal as per the harmattan but as soon as I was about to enter the house and I touched the door knob, there was this shock that I can't explain, it wasn't for long because I removed my hand so fast to call my brother from inside to open Which didn't shock him, that implies that the cloth must have charged me up. It was nice experiencing physics there even though I was scared but I didn't stop there as I also went ahead to try if I'd see sparks on my head too as we were taught in physics in secondary school, so I was awake till midnight and went in front of the mirror to comb my hair, GOD!!! its was fun combing my hair with sparks😅, I could see yellow little sparks on my hair but I had to stop so that I won't burn my hair. 😂 Science is beautiful ❤️ Please, take a look at my sponsors, they're the best you'd ever get. Thanks for the constant support. **Introduction to NFTs...** ***What are NFTs?*** NFT is an acronym for Non Fungible Token, non fungible in the sense that it is not replaceable. NFTs can be anything that can be digitalized, be it pictures, video clips or paintings, once it can be digitalized, it can be an NFT. A lot of people don't tend to understand how it works and you might be wondering how a newbie like me got that knowledge so fast but I've been doing my assignment on NFTs and it has been an interesting journey so far. Most NFTs are built on the etherium Blockchain. *what is Blockchain?* The blockchain technology is a development that has come to substitute the functions of the bank in the sense that banks just validate transaction data, they don't really deal with cash and that's what the Blockchain was able to provide without government or individual policies because it is decentralized. Transactions of any amount can now be made via this technology with less stress. Most NFTs built on the etherium Blockchain are that of paintings and the mosy popular question people ask is why these NFTs are so expensive and I'm going to give a cheap reason, it's your homework to find other reasons. ***The reason behind it's high price*** **Etherium gas fee** I am not very sure about this but it's my suspension that this might be a reason because etherium is one of the coins with a very high gas fee and it has posed to be a major challenge for crypto dealers and I guess that could be a reason for the high price because most of the NFTs are built on the etherium Blockchain like earlier explained. **The psychological hype** This is the basic reason which I would go into details in the next article but the need to gather wealth is a major want by humans and we tend not to have what to do after gathering such wealth that we now start spending on what might seem to have value later. The hype and the influence behind this NFT is the reason behind the high price which I'd continue to explain in my next article... To be continued... Thanks for reading ❤️

Dangerous traditional practices in Africa ***#10*** ***Monday*** ***24/01/2022*** Good morning readers, I hope you had a great night? I actually did also and I was just thinking of what I could write today until I remembered some of the things I was thinking of before I slept yesterday. In Africa, we have a lot of funny beliefs and traditions that are meant to have gone with time but they still keep them and that's why it seems like we're in the dark because we cherish so many of these practices instead of accepting Technological advancements like other countries have. I am not against keeping historical artifacts and some of these things but letting it ruin us is what I don't see reasonable and I hope you understand my view with what I'm about to write. Take a break and check these amazing sponsors of mine, they're simply the best. No doubt... **Dangerous traditional practices in Africa...** Before you start thinking that I am against some of the traditional beliefs of Africa, let me get that right. No one is against any historical beliefs or traditions that our forefathers believed in. This article has nothing to do with that, all I'm promoting here is the campaign against some evil practices that people still get involved in under the disguise of traditional beliefs. These practices bring about mental, social, physical and health damages. For example, underage begging for alms, female circumcision and so on... **Underage begging for alms** I am not against helping the needy or giving alms to those who deserve it but what I am against is the use of children to beg for alms, we see on our streets everyday little children begging for alms and they live on these alms. We have a lot of children that their parents were unsheltered due to the insurgence in North Africa in Nigeria, they are so many that they stay by road sides begging for alms. Some of them even take opportunity of traffic Jams to go from car to car for begging and I really find this sad because their parents don't even think about their future as they deny them from attending schools and getting educated. **Early marriage** A lot of uneducated parents still stay under the umbrella of ancient beliefs about early marriage. We have seen a lot of girls forced to marry at such tender ages of 11 to 18 when they are meant to be under the training of their parents, these children forced into early marriages get early pregnancies which they might not have the strength to carry and this leads to the death of most of them and the lucky ones that stay alive constitute to the overpopulation that we have in our country. **Tribal marks** I am totally against this. In the olden days, tribal marks were used for recognition, fashion (I don't understand that yet because most of the ones I see are ugly), for inscription for some powers. No matter the reason, I don't find it fascinating and I am bluntly against it because even the children they do it for later grow to hate themselves for having these marks and this has a great impact on the morale and self esteem of such a child. **Female circumcision** This is another evil act refered to as female genital mutilation now, it involves the cutting of the female external genitals at a very tender age. This act is very risky and any slight mistake could lead to bleeding which could cause excessive loss of blood and finally to the death of such a female child. This one has been addressed by the government times without number and I see campaigns everywhere I go about the evil behind female genital mutilation and I think there's already a jail time attached to these act which is a good move by the government. All these practices and other evil practices need to stop because they cause real damages on their victims and they go through a last longing trauma that they might never get over in their lifetime. Thanks for reading ❤️

Human trafficking #**10** **Sunday** **23/01/2022** Good morning readers, I hope you all slept well. I did too and I'm awake and kicking already. Today I'm writing on human trafficking because it is really something that has become so rampant in our society especially among women and children in Africa. These people are taken away on the basis of getting them a better life which they never seem to get for the rest of their life if they keep being there. It's a terrible one, we have had cases of trafficking even here in Nigeria and that's a very poor one coming from the "giant of Africa". To the best sponsors out there. Do well to check their pages out and see for yourself what exactly I'm talking about. **Human trafficking...** This is a practice common in Africa where some set of people we call the traffickers, take children and women away either by force or by fake promises of a better life into slavery, hard labor or even prostitution for the ladies as the case may be. Some of them are even used to traffick hard drugs in return for stipends, these traffickers have no value for human life that they use their victims to transport illegal drugs across boarders and if these victims are caught, the traffickers flee and leave such people in a mess of jail for some years depending on the country. Some countries even handicap them as a punishment for the offense of drug trafficking. ****Factors behind human trafficking**** **False promises** These traffickers target the less privileged as their victims to be trafficked because these people are the easiest to deceive for a better well-being as they promise to help them to further their education, get a good job or even start a new life. These offers glow in the eyes of these people and in no time they fall into the trap even without thinking of what will become of them after accepting these offers. **Illiteracy** Not necessarily people that didn't go to school, but people that a blinded by the initial benefits these traffickers bring to them. These people are capable of paying them off immediately they see them but a lot of people fail to think about the long term consequences of being trafficked and they ignorantly fall into their deceit. **Weak law enforcement** This comes down to our government too for not properly enforcing these laws so as to avoid trafficking. The enforcement agencies are even sometimes paid off to allow these traffickers have their way which is also corruption and these things would never allow a country move forward. The consequences of human trafficking are really numerous among which we have shame, rejection, transmission of STDs and so on. We really need to fight against this cankerworm eating our country up, part of what we can do is: Proper seminars to allow parents know how deceitful these traffickers can come should be organized. The government should make sure to provide enough jobs so that people won't have to travel before they can earn a living. Campaigns and rallies against trafficking should be organized, not only for political reasons like we have it presently. A lot of people should be able to learn when campaigns are done against human trafficking from time to time. Thanks for reading ❤️

The power from discipline #9 Friday 21/01/2022 Good evening friends, I trust you all has a great day there, I did too even though I slept almost all through and I'm not that lazy on a norm but I guess it's because of the injection I took earlier today because of the skin irritation I talked about in my previous article, it's getting better tho but I'm still using my medications too but that doesn't stop me from delivering my daily article especially on the power series. If you are looking for power, you need to go through the series I've been writing. It's really necessary and today I'm writing on discipline and I'm sure most of us are familiar with this already but I'm still going to write because you could learn one or two from it. You really need to check my sponsors, they've been great people in building my confidence about writing and I want to specially thank my new sponsor @Amjad_Ali_Waince . I hope I'm able to impress more people with my articles and build my sponsors block. **The power from discipline...** Continuing on my series on power, discipline is another great attribute you must have to be successful in life . A disciplined person can virtually do anything because the price paid for discipline is not a cheap one and paying the price makes us so strong that we can almost anything with the discipline. According to the English dictionary, discipline means a state of enforced compliance meaning it isn't an easy decision for you to take, you have to sacrifice somethings for you to be disciplined, it doesn't come cheap. Discipline makes you do certain things without thinking about who's watching or who'd give you appraisal, doing what you have to do even when you're tired and might feel like staying back or maybe your friends are giving up and it seems like it's not working out anymore, discipline makes you continue. ***Discipline trains you...*** When I was in my secondary school, there's this long distance race we call cross country, it's the longest race of the inter house sport tournament and they don't pick weak people for that race. Why? **Discipline builds strength** For a long distance race, you must be able to finish well. Your beginning might not be good enough but always make sure that you save your strength for the finishing. Such is life, you might start a business and everything might seem so slow or even looking like everything is crumbling, discipline requires your strength to keep pushing and forgetting about the downfall or set back you're experiencing because all of them builds you strength **Discipline never gives up** Just like in the long distance race I was talking about, nobody foresees how long the distance would be at the start but all we know is that it's a very long one and that's why we keep running even though we are tired, we just have to keep running because we don't know how close the finish line is. This can also be compared to life, you don't seem to see success at the very start of anything that you lay your hand upon, discipline keeps you moving until you achieve success. It tests your patience and people that give up easily are always known for failure because they'd never be strong enough to reach the finish line of success. **Discipline earns respect** For the long distance race, probably only the first three runners are recognized as the winners of the race, we might have had a lot of people who ran that race but the people who are respected are those that finished first and finished well and that's how life also is, only the rich and influential people are respected because of their wealth and power because this wealth and power was gotten as a result of their discipline when others were joking and playing around. I hope everyone of us get to learn one or two things from this article today. ****Closing thought**** Discipline is a choice, God has given you the ability to choose what's good for yourself and no one is responsible for your choices. Make yourself your first motivation and keep moving till you achieve success. Thanks for reading ❤️

The power in consistency Good evening everyone, I trust you had a great day out there, it was a busy one for me and I knew that yesterday as I planned to take care of my room this morning because of the state it was, really scattered and I can't go to school and leave it that way. I slept early enough yesterday in preparation for today's arrangement but unfortunately I woke up this morning with some kind of skin irritation that looked like rashes, it was really bad and I had to go to the hospital but before I went, I made sure I did my arrangement to a reasonable point before I headed to the hospital where some drugs were prescribed for me along side injections 😭. **The power in consistency...** You all must be wondering where I'm going with my power series. Well, I just felt like I'd flow more with it and I write according to inspiration and I guess that's today's inspiration. Consistency is a great virtue, it show doggedness, how strong you are at resisting challenges no matter how hard it might seem. Before I joined readcash, I was given a lecture on consistency and the reward I'd get for being consistent and I must tell you that it has been great for me. My cheat for being consistent is that I take things in order, day by day, hour by hour, every minute makes me feel stronger for the next. I'd talk about importance of consistency below: **Consistency reveals effectiveness** You can never know how effective something is until you have used it for a certain period of time. It's just like telling me about a car that you just bought yesterday and you're testifying how good the product is and you expect me to buy such a car? I'd definitely not buy it until you've used it for a period and tested it's effectiveness before I can say if I'd like it or not. **Consistency builds reputation** To build reputation, you need to be consistent. Someone that begins a business and stops on the way can never be known but imagine someone that has been selling for a period of time consistently, such a person would be known for his or her products and that's a reputation built in that market. **Consistency earns you respect** Respect is not something you fight for, it has to be earned and you can earn it by being consistent and truthful at whatever you do or say. If you're known for the truth at all time consistently, you'd be respected and people would know you for that and that's exactly how to earn respect. **Closing thought** Consistency is something you work for, you can't just start a day and think you're consistent already, you need to continue and every effort you put pushes you into success. Thanks for reading ❤️

The love letter **#7** **Wednesday** **19/01/2022** Good morning readers, I hope y'all slept well even though I know some of us are still sleeping. I have decided to stay up late this morning because I needed to check some stuffs out on YouTube before I head for my bed and I noticed how slow this year has been moving, like we're still on the nineteenth day of the first month, honestly, this is the first time I'm believing what people say about January being the longest month of the year because we've legit used up to two months in this 19 days but I still hope that God protects us from all the evil the devil has for us this year and beyond. I'm going old-school today, this story is one of my most remembered memories I had in primary school. Enjoy **The love letter** If you attended my primary school, or maybe it's a general thing that they teach about puberty right from primary 4 and I can remember vividly that my teacher mentioned a point that we all kept at the back of our minds. She said "at puberty, you start having affections or you tend to start having interest in the opposite gender". This statement actually took almost a year in us before the real effect started to manifest and it later became a tradition that in every primary 5 class, they always have cases of pupils writing love letters which I actually count as normal but our teachers never saw it that way. I'm writing today in the perspective of a guy that wrote me a love letter in primary 5. There was this hot chick 🤩, Yetunde in our primary school, everyone wanted to be her friend and luckily for us all, she was so free with people including we, the rough and dirty boys and this made me really like her, I really don't understand what I saw in her because all of us were underdeveloped except for a few of us that had rapid growth but that wasn't my case, neither was it Yetunde's, we were both short and still had our baby looks but there was something different about this girl that really made me like her, she was damn neat and never wanted to get stained and this is part of the reasons why I cherish neatness till now. I started having feelings towards this girl and I looked like I had no chance of getting her because I was this rough, dirty looking guy but trust what love does, I changed. My parents started noticing that I was clean after school which was weird but they definitely liked it and they kept encouraging me to stay neat. I started pressing my uniform everyday and in no time I started feeling comfortable talking to her because I was meeting her standard. We started talking, became seat mates but I still didn't have the mind to tell her how I felt about her because I didn't know how she'd react to it. I met one of my friends, ojo and told him how I felt about this girl and he reminded me what our teacher taught is in primary 4 and I had this feeling in me that I was going through the normal stages of puberty and this even made me more eager to tell her about how I felt but ojo told me not to do it directly, I asked him what he meant and he promised to put me through the next day because it was closing hour already. The next day felt like the whole January and I got to school so early to meet him, he got me a paper and pen and started dictating what I'd write. Good morning Yetunde, you must be wondering whose handwriting this is but for some reasons, I have decided not to disclose that information to you but I want you to know how I've been feeling towards you and in no time, I'd come to confess my love for you directly. I wrote this and gave him to confirm it, he did and helped me put it in her textbook. He told me that was the first phase and we'll observe how she reacts before I go to meet her personally and we stayed at a distance to see her reaction. In no time, she came by and went directly to that page (she saw ojo putting a paper in the book 🤣🙆). She called her friends immediately and they all shouted "let's go and show aunty". I began to shiver because ojo was definitely going to snitch me, our teacher called for him and to my surprise, he didn't snitch me, he told her he wrote the letter and you won't want to know how he was punished and I felt really sorry but he was quite a gee. Thanks for the love ojo❤️🙏... I hope you see this someday 😂 because you really saved my ass. Thanks for reading... You can share your childhood experiences too in the comment section.

The power in your tongue **#6** **Monday** **January 17, 2022.** Good evening everyone!!! It's been a long time since I've been here, I had to get some things done and settle down for resumption. Resumption is less than 7 days from now, and it's really surprising how far it looked away from December but the reality has dawned on us now that we just have about a week to get ourselves prepared for a new academic calendar. It's going to be another long run through the year, all I am hoping for this session is that we have physical classes and not the virtual classes that almost ruined my result last session. With this, I also pray I come out in flying colors. I have made a lot of plans for this semester and the whole session and I hope I am able to follow them in details. Thanks for having me back here, it's a pleasure to always be welcomed home like the prodigal son. **The power in your tongue...** A lot of people fail to understand the power imbedded in words, we just think that we can say somethings and forget about them. According to research, we were made to know that every word spoken has an impact on whatever that word has been spoken to or against, it's actually a very good thing to know the power you have in your mouth. We have no idea how far our words, phrases or even sentences can go in the life of an individual. People kill with their mouth, people prophesy good fortunes with this same mouth. The way we use our tongue really determines the type of person we are, even according to the bible, "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh". This is to tell us that whatever we say gives a clear picture of what is going on in our mind, it is an undisputable fact and that's exactly why we need to be careful about what we need to say. There's a popular saying "listen more, speak less", this is exactly what a wise man would do, gain a lot of knowledge from people and not let them weigh him by his words. ****Ways to control your tongue**** **Not all thoughts are to be spoken of** There are a lot of times that we feel like saying something, we know deep down in us that we haven't given this a second thought but because of the pressure you're feeling from inside, we tend to sell our ideas at cheap prices. This is absolutely not a good habit, let's form a habit of secrecy within us before we sell our ideas to the enemy. **Curb the power of your tongue** No doubt,we all know the power of spoken words now, they can make or mare people, relationships, organizations and so on. Knowing this power we have in our mouth, we must be careful on how we use it, always make sure that you say encouraging words, nice words, they really go a lot, it might seem like it has no effect on whosoever you must have said it to but trust me, those words melts the heart faster than icecream under the sun. That's the power of the tongue... **As christians, we shouldn't copy the world** A lot of slangs come out from no where and we don't even bother to know what they mean, we just all ignorantly use these words they call slangs and it becomes a norm to our lifestyle. This is really wrong, we need to be careful on the type of slangs we let out of our mouth, the need to know what it means can not be overemphasized. We just have to be extra vigilant for those words that don't give glory to the name of God ****Conclusion**** Our tongues are as sharp and blunt at the same time, it's just a matter of how we use it. Ask yourself a question today. Do my words make or ruin people? Thanks for reading ❤️

Prevailing Prayers Good day everyone, I hope you all are not to worried about the rise and fall in BCH because no matter what, it'll get better. One thing I've learnt while growing up is that always to remember to put God in everything you do, even though it seems small, Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path. There are four ways to acknowledge and know God, you can know him by the scripture, by his names( that is, we learn different dimensions of his nature), by studying about Jesus and by prayer. So I'm going to be using today to talk about the assignment of prayer. luke 18:1 says And he(Jesus) spake a parable into them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint. *********** ASSIGNMENT OF PRAYER The four principal assignment of prayers is as (1) A tool for transformation (2)A platform for making request (3)A tool and platform for spiritual legislation A TOOL FOR TRANSFORMATION This is the main assignment of prayer because when you pray, you evolve to different dimensions of yourself. Even Jesus prayed according to luke 9:29, it says, And as he(Jesus) prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered and his raiment was white and glistering. An attack on your prayer life is an attack on your transformation. Deuteronomy 8:17-18. One of the ways to frustrate the flesh is to pray in the spirit because praying in the spirit gives the holy spirit the liberty to search the mind of God . A PLATFORM FOR MAKING REQUEST AND OBTAINING PROMISES Mark 11:24 says Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. what this scripture is just trying to say that you must first have the desire to pray and when you pray whole heartedly you shall receive and have them. Philippians 4:6-7 says Be careful for nothing, but in everything by PRAYER and supplication with Thanksgiving let your request be known unto God and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. But note prayer doesn't do everything but it should be part of everything. Even though prayer isn't the main key, it is needed to help the hand that holds the keys. For example, prayer doesn't make you pass your examination but prayer helps to get understanding for the books you'll read to pass. What I'm trying to say is that prayers with no work won't provide answers. AS A TOOL FOR SPIRITUAL LEGISLATION There is a dimension for creation that is needed for your own decree. Numbers 14:28 says, As truely as I live, saith the lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you. What I'm trying to say is that make time to decree for your life, don't wait for parents or your friends to prays for you, make time to tell God what you want in your life. I know for a fact that I don't want to have any form of illness this year and I've already decreed it for myself. Have you taken your time to tell the lord what you want for your life? I repeat, don't wait for anybody to decree for you, you all are old enough to make decree for yourself. The ways the devil has access to a believer is by disobedience and ignorance. Don't be disobedient when following the word of God that is the bible and always make sure you have understanding in the things of God, don't be ignorant and stubborn Engage in the word of God to access your victory over the devil and understand the power of the name (JESUS CHRIST). And as I end today's writing, I'll want you guys to always remember to pray.

Teenage Life Hey guys, what's up? I've been reading some articles and I realized that people are soo serious on this platform so I deciding to cool some of your spirits down and talk about some annoying things that happened to me when I was still in secondary school ( high school). I think I had my first crush when I was 11, to some of you it's normal but to us that lives in Africa( Nigeria to be specific) it is a major issue. I really don't know why I even liked the guy but I remembered that he had a nice smell (tips:- some of you should try and smell nice to have confidence and at least attract girls because no girl likes a guy with body odor and vice versa). we both went to the same secondary school but we were in different classes. When we were in jss 3 I did the most stupid thing ever, I wrote a love letter. Of course, I didn't have courage at that time(I was 13 then) so I needed an accomplice. My accomplice was my best friend, she knew her ways around guys and she knew how to draw guys attention. So I told her about what was going on, of course she was so happy for me, she even told me some things to write in the letter and I was writing stupidly. During the leisure time, she told me to put the letter in his notebook, I was so scared I didn't want to put it so she decided to help me out in putting it in his book. When he got to his class, he saw the letter. He read it and started laughing he also called his boys and they were talking for a long time. I was getting scared because I thought he noticed it was my hand writing, My hand writing is actually very unique so people can easily notice what I write and what I didn't write. During closing, My best friend and I were standing outside the school gate waiting for our school bus to pick us up. Then I noticed my then crush coming towards my direction. When he stood in front of us, he told my best friend that he wanted to talk to her privately and not me. I was actually scared and confused at the same time because I was wondering what they were talking about for a long time. After some minutes, they hugged each other and he left. I asked my best friend what they were talking about and the only thing that she told me was that he wanted her to find his mystery girl( by the way, I didn't put my name on the letter) Days went by and my best friend stopped coming to my class frequently ( she was in the same class with my crush). I was actually worried because I thought she failed a test, she normally liked to stay alone when she failed a test. so I decided to go to her class to check up on her. To my surprise, I saw my then crush and her holding hands and going to the cafeteria. It was like my heart melted. When it was closing time, I walked up to both of them to ask if anything was going on. Then my crush said “didn't your bestie tell you that we're already dating after I saw the letter she wrote for me in my book". I was speechless, I couldn't even shout because I didn't want to draw attention or let anybody tell me parents that I was writing letter to a boy. After that day, I realized that I should never think everybody is my friend. some people are just meant to be an acquaintance in my life.

Confession Night Good day every one, how is the new year going for you. I had a really stressful day because of some situations. Today I was told to make beans which is a very easy thing for me to make because we eat beans alot in my house, I think we even eat beans more than rice. As I put the beans to boil my youngest sister was causing trouble in the living room so I left the kitchen to find out what's wrong. In the process, I saw they were showing one of my favorites TV shows on African magic(My Flatmates) so I wanted to catch up a little on where I stopped, I totally forgot about the beans I was boiling An hour as passed, I started smelling something burning then I remembered the beans I was boiling. So I quickly ran to the kitchen to off the electric cooker, I was so worried about the burnt beans because I know how much my dad hates eating burnt food but I can't throw away the food to boil a new one because that would be wastage of food then I just decided to make beans and yam instead of rice and beans. When my dad came back in the night, he asked for his food to be served, immediately he asked for the food to be served my immediate younger sister just said“daddy goodnight", it sounded suspicious because I know she doesn't sleep early. So I went to the kitchen to serve his food.As I opened the pot, I realized that the food reduced, I was confused the more because I knew I made enough for everybody to eat. Even though I made sure all the burnt side of the beans didn't enter his food, he still sensed that the beans was small. Then he yelled, he said “your food is burnt and also small". I was actually confused about the small aspect because I knew I made more than enough. So in the night, when my sisters and I were in the room, my immediate younger sister said that she wanted to make a confession. She said “when okeh cooked the beans, it really had a nice smell so I wanted to taste it a little, I liked it and I kept on tasting it. Then I heard a noise coming from upstairs so I panicked then the beans pot fell down in a bucket in the kitchen, I was so scared then I carried the pot gently from the bucket but some of the beans and yam fell inside the bucket but I can't put the beans in the bucket back in the pot, so I decided to throw the ones in the bucket away and washed the bucket”. “Ahh" Everybody screamed including me. it was funny to the rest of my sisters but not me because I also received shout for the food being small.

My Crossover to the New Year I'm still getting used to the fact that we are in a new year. That means we're going to refresh some traditions that we do every year like Valentine's day, birthdays, anniversaries, easter day, thanks giving, Christmas etc. This year is literally booked, we have another 365 days to start what we wanted to do for a very long time like getting a job, starting a new business or even find love. ****** Before I write about my new year's day, I have to write about my new year's eve. If you live in Nigeria and you live under your parents roof, you'll know that it's a normal thing for you to be in church on new year's eve. In the afternoon around 12 noon, my mum told my sister and I so early to get dressed and go to our uncle's place to collect New Year's cow(yeah, it's a thing in my family to share cow among ourselves). When we got there, the butchers we not around so we had to wait for a very long time before the cow was killed and shared. This took about seven hours before the cow was ready to be distributed. My sis and I had to leave our uncle's place very late, this means we're already late for church, So we rushed home, quickly took our baths and did the needful and we rushed to church. The good thing was that we got to church on time. In my church, our natural ceremony to the new year was to listen to testimonies, sing praises and listen to prophecy from our pastor, and like I do every year even though some of you might not believe in it, is to write what I want to achieve before this year runs out because trust me, “time isn't on our side anymore”. I wrote alot of things, but my main point was to improve on my academics and become closer to God. Writing that you want to improve on your academics sounds lame and stressful right?, but let me tell you, once you believe in yourself and have faith in God, you can achieve it. I also wrote that I want to improve on my writing skills because of read.cash. Read.cash has helped me leave my comfort zone because I didn't like to write and now I'm doing it and also loving it. So back to my story, before I knew it , it was 12 am. The first person that wished me happy new year was @Semaj2k21, the funny thing is that he wasn't even beside me. After the wishing of happy new year to everybody, My family and I went home. New year's day was surprisingly more interesting that Christmas day to me, some of our extended family members came and we all chatted alot. My mum made curry rice(I was actually surprised that she didn't wake me up to cook it), we all ate till we could not stand up again and it was a memorable experience. I mean what a day to start the year. so I'll like to ask a question, what was the main thing you did on New Year's Day?

Newborn into read.cash Good day to everyone here, I'm glad to have joined this platform, it's a great opportunity for me to express myself through writing and I hope I'd be able to do just that. So today is my first time writing on this platform so I'm kind of nervous on what to write and how to write it but I feel like I'd go with the flow like I always do. I have joined this platform for about three days now and you must have been wondering why I haven't made any publications yet and I must tell you that I've been busy learning about this platform and it's aim to promote BCH, I am glad to be on that journey too, thanks to @semaj2k21 that introduced me to this platform. I'd go by the name Okeh and I hope I am welcomed to this family. ****** It's almost the end of the year and I've seen a lot of publications about how 2022 is going to be like for individuals and I see that everyone has good plans for the year to come but I still believe in reflection. So, I'd like to reflect what this year has been like for me. What is the most memorable experience that happened to you this year? I have a lot but this one tops it so here it goes, I've always been a person who was strong headed, I felt like nobody will ever understand me because of how strong headed they think I am. My new year resolution was to be happy and I know that you all might be wondering why I want only that this year but I've realized that when a person is happy, all what the person wants will start coming to him/her one way or the other. Happiness brings peace of mind and with this peace, anything can be achieved without being pressured and that's why I decided that I'd get away from anybody or anything that would make me unhappy this year and so far, I've been able to do that to a great extent. Let me also brief you guys on my most memorable experience this year. It all started at our crossover night in church, in Nigeria, it's a normal thing for you to be in church on new year's eve, I wouldn't say it's the norm tho but most people in Nigeria spend their new year's eve in church. So, I was in church with my family and after our pastor finished preaching, he told everybody to write their new year resolution on a paper which almost everybody did, most people wanted a new car, or a new house or a new job e.t.c but all those things we just materialistic to me because you can't get any of this thing's without working for it and of course you can't get anyone when you're not happy, there's an effort needed before you can get all those material things but God can give happiness and with this happiness together with hard work, other things can come in too, So I just wrote on my paper that I wanted to be happy because I felt I wasn't getting enough happiness like I deserved, and right now, I'm an interpretation of happiness... More so, I have a lot of plans with read.cash this coming year which is why I've decided to join almost at the end of this year, my joining readcash isn't a mistake and I'm here to impact lives and also add to myself also. I feel like I should state my reasons for joining readcash: 1. I'm not an excellent writers like a lot of people here, I'm here to learn and sharpen my writing skills. I really wish this is achieved, maybe it'd be part of my achievements when I'm writing the last article for next year. I've read some professional writings here and I feel that if I keep reading them, I'd be much more like them in the nearest future 2. I'd also like to meet people with great mind and thinking, it makes more sense to work with people that think just the way you do. it makes everything easy for you and I hope I'd be able to find such people. 3. This is the last but not the least, I've been introduced into cryptocurrency and I'll be glad to promote BCH by bagging the coins from the upvotes I get on my posts and comments also, I'd also try my possible best to Upvote a lot of people so as to encourage their writings. The list could continue for so long but I don't want to bore you out by this article because I feel it's getting too long, especially for a newbie like me. So, I'm going to stop here before you start dozing off... Thanks for reading 😊 Have a great day and year ahead 🙂
