SOCIAL INEQUALITY is

-unequal distribution of opportunities and rewards to the poor and high class

-unequal distribution of products, wealth, opportunities, rewards, and punishments.

Social Inequalit also refers to;

  1. A certain group of individuals has access to more resources and opportunities than others.

  2. Being linked to gender, class, and race, dominant in society like males, whites, with educational activity.

PANTAYONG PANANAW (DEFINITION) used as an approach to research the difficulty of social inequality in the Philippines.

In history, some wealthy Filipinos were employed by Spanish colonizers to implement colonial interests within the country also referred to as the Principalia class.

During the 19th century, the opening of Philippine ports to world trade and also the rise of the middle class, some Filipinos, mostly mestizos, were ready to study in college and universities here and abroad.

Educated Filipinos would constitute the center class of the Philippine Society;

Ordinary natives, uneducated, and poor, would compose the masses.

SIKOLOHIYANG PILIPINO or PHILIPPINE PSYCHOLOGY

CORE CONCEPT

KAPUWA –unity of the self and other, or the extension of the self. Signifies Unity

OTHER (in America)- someone or a thing that's different or distinct from one already mentioned or known about. Signifies the difference of distinction from self.

Social inequality will never occur if people will only value the concept of KAPUWA.

Fight for Equality!

It's sad to hear that up to this day, in Philippines, social inequality still exist.

This is a very sad and a true reality. Its happening because of corrupt leaders. Hope it will change, but i think it cannot cause history repeat itself, so it keeps on repeating.

I've read many books po. That was my report about social inequality last year sa philosophy class po namin.
