Education is life-long learning. We never stop learning since we were a child up to this moment. We learn from our day-to-day life experiences and the learning imparted to us from our parents, elders, teachers, best friends and life mentors. Learning is not limited to the four corners of the classroom rather it is acquired everywhere and in everything that we do. I am a Bachelor's degree holder and I'm still planning to have my Master's degree in Education Management or Business Management. If given a chance for a scholarship by studying abroad that would be a big opportunity for me. I know you need to submit all these documents needed and pass those interviews and exams online for you to be qualified. It might be hard to think of it especially you are coming from a different country and culture having different backgrounds and beliefs, but if others can make it, why can't I? it is an opportunity for me to learn more and for me to have higher ranks or positions in my teaching career if I will be able to pass it.
To study abroad, one must have a brave heart and a witty mind for you to be able to achieve your goal. You will be far from your family and friends, but communication will never stop because there are now online applications for you to have a video call and private messaging to your loved ones. You need to prepare yourself if you want to study abroad. **One way for you to prepare is to know the study abroad packing list**. **ESSENTIALS**
What are those essentials needed if you will be studying abroad? You will be studying in a different country, so a passport is a must. If they need a visa, so please don't forget to bring it. Just to make sure you have copies of those in case some might get lost, so have photocopied of those important documents. If you are advised by your doctor to have some medicines intake each day, so bring with you those prescribed medicines. Money is needed everywhere we go, so have enough money in your pocket. The charger of your mobile phones or laptops is necessary in case the battery of your phone is low. The school might need some hard copies of your documents, so bring those papers with you. Other countries might ask for your vaccination card as proof that you got vaccinated, so please do not forget it. Airline companies are looking for your negative anti-gen result or negative swab test result, so secure it first and bring the resulting test with you also.

Gadgets are needed nowadays especially if you are a student. You will have your face-to-face classes or online, so laptop is needed. For communication purposes like having a video call with your families back home or if you want to call your girlfriend/boyfriend, your cellphone must be with you always. It's one way for you to overcome homesickness especially if it's your first time to be far from your loved ones. If you have flash drives and other gadgets needed in your studies, so bring those items as well. If you love listening to music and it's a way for you to overcome stress, so bring your Mp3s and airphones with you.
CLOTHING
You don't need to pack all of those formal and informal dresses at home. Choose those clothes that are acceptable in their culture so please have early research of those clothes. You will be attending classes, so formal and presentable clothes are needed like long pants and long sleeves or polo shirts. You will need of socks and handkerchiefs too, so put those items in your bag. Don't bring all of your clothes because if you will receive your scholarship allowance abroad if you avail and qualified for that program, then you will have the money to buy some extra clothes as needed in your study or those cheap clothes needed in your dormitory or apartment.
**PERSONAL ITEMS**
You will be traveling for how many hours, so bring some toilet paper, napkins if you need of it, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Your under-wears are needed too and put one towel in your traveling bag. You will be in need of a small traveling pillow to ease the pain in your head when you want to sleep. If the country permits, you can also bring some devotional materials like your small bible and prayer journal, so you can continue your daily meditation to uplift your soul. Other personal belongings you need to bring is your traveling bag, shoes, favorite cap and some accessories like your bracelet, earing and your wristwatch. Your traveling bag must not too big enough for you not to pay extra baggage fee at the airport. You already knew what are those other personal items needed as it depends on the person, so put those personal items not mentioned of mine as one of your travel abroad packing list.
YOURSELF
The most important living thing on your study abroad list is yourself. Are sure of your decision to study abroad which is far from your hometown? If you are pretty sure, how prepared are you knowing that you will be studying in a different country? You need to think about it well before you decide on studying abroad. Consider the decision of your parents whether they will approve it or not. Yourself is the important asset you will bring. I know you still have doubts and questions lingering in your mind before going abroad. So have enough preparation like knowing the culture and tradition in that particular country to avoid having culture shock and expect that you will make adjustments after you will arrive in their place. You need to know the foods available in that certain area where you will live for a while and then the weather if it's too hot or too cold for you to bring some extra clothes if the temperature is freezing. Study their national language as well and try to memorize those words that are commonly used especially if they are not using English as their national language. The one who is now facing the challenge is yourself. So be strong enough, do your part and trust God always for you to be able to finish your studies. You will be alone for a short period because if you are friendly, you can find friends and a family even if you are in a different country.

How to pass board exams?
According to Benjamin Franklin “ ***If you fail to plan you are planning to fail.”*** It is a famous quotation for Business Management student like me since planning is one the management functions.
**Taking national board examination is not that easy. One must be prepared enough because I believe it is not a test of luck and chance.** If you want to be a professional especially adding that abbreviations title before or after your name like Dr., Atty., RN, LPT, you must pass that particular examination once. If you failed, don’t worry but you can try it next time.
I took Civil Service Examination - Professional level three times before I passed the exam. The passing rate is 80% and most of the questions cover English and Math subjects. Yes, time was limited during the exam. You are not allowed to bring mobile phones or calculators, so you need to manually compute those problems in Mathematics. Basic grammar, identifying errors, vocabulary and reading comprehension are the coverage in English.
On my first attempt, that was when I was in college, pressured because of my thesis and other requirements needed for our graduation, I only got 60%+ on my average score. Next attempt was taking it online in Civil Service main office in Quezon City when I was working as a call center agent in Alabang. I was tired from work and still unprepared to take the exam. After 3-5 minutes of the online exam, the result will appear in your computer screen if you pass or fail. But then again I failed. Third attempt, this time I had ample time reviewing some lessons I had in high school. I was not working that time and ready to face that exam. Thanks God I took the paper pencil test in Dipolog City last 2014 and I got 81.80% as my average score.
I tried to apply in some government agencies like SSS and GSIS but I never got hired. So I what I did was, during my day offs, I studied again in a nearby college school for me to have Education units. Praise God this time I passed the Teachers board examination by just one take. The passing rate is you need to have an average points of 75% and I got 81%. The agony of waiting for 2 months was not that easy but when the results was released online, it was a mixed of emotion then.
I just want to share some tips and things to do before taking board examinations. Taking board examination is a self-test. You are the only one who will answer those questions in a given period of time. Copying or cheating is a big no no. You need to do your part before and during the big day.
1. **Resources**. Gather all the resources needed. What are those resources by the way? Resources are your books, soft and hard copy reviewers, reading materials and other sources of information needed for you to be prepared during the exam. If you cannot gather all those resources, at least you tried to read some. If you cannot afford to buy reviewers or review in a review center, there are free reviewers online. I did not went to a review center, I only had my self-review sessions during weekends or free time.
2. **Review.** Review by reading your resources. Don’t be lazy this time. Aim if not to be on top 10 at least your goal is to have a high passing grade. Read and read those resources you have. You can write important infos in a piece of paper and you can post those papers on top or beside your bed for you to remember those info easily. Whether you will have a group review, self-review or you are reviewing in a review center, focus on it and put those important details not just in your mind but also in your heart.
**3. Rest/Relax.** Aside from reviewing, our body needs rest. Do not spend all your time reviewing those available resources. Have time to walk, jog outside, play your favorite sports like basketball or badminton or you can stroll around our mother nature. Take time to relax because we are not robots or machines. Reserved more energy for the real battle - examination day. If possible a week or few days before the scheduled day of the exam, put those reviewers away. This time, watch motivational video or you may watch your favorite movies, ask for prayers from your family and friends or you can listen to some inspirational songs. Again, rest.
4. **Recharge.** What I mean with recharge is we need to charge ourselves again to the true source of wisdom who is God. According to His Scripture in James chapter 1 verse 5 ***“If any of you lack wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to you.”*** Yes have faith that you can make it. Claim the victory and the promises of God that He will give you a bright future. I remember then when I was taking teachers board exam, we were given 15 minutes before taking the next subject, during those free times I used my phone as we were allowed during break time and I listened to my favorite worship songs. Using my headset, I repeatedly listened to “You are my strength” song because that song gave me courage, inspiration and victory.
**5. Ready.** A day before the exam, be ready. You need to prepare those things needed on the exam like your pencil, id, notice of examination and other important things you need to bring. Don’t forget to bring some cholate candies and water or some energy drink for you not be tired and sleepy during the exam. **By doing this 5 R’s mntioned: Resources, Review, Rest, Recharge you are now Ready to face the real battle. Do it now for you to savor success tomorrow.** Of course we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

I do not know if RandomRewarder still loves me or not but my last post here was last first week of December. What happened was 3 posts of mine did not receive any tips from him. Anyway I just want to share the blessings shared by my brother to the families in our church. The Spirit of Christmas continues as my brother donated 4,000 pesos cash for 15 recipients who are my churchmates. 250 pesos is allocated on each individual. My mother was the assigned person who bought these items this morning because I washed my dirty clothes. These products are needed so that they can prepare and cook spaghetti tomorrow which is New Years Eve. I know this is just a simple offering but when they received these items this late afternoon, all of them were very happy and thankful to my brother.

We only have 1 day to work in school and we will have our Christmas outing tomorrow with my co-teachers. Starting next week, we will have our Christmas vacation and work will resume on January 4. Face to face classes are still not sure because of the pandemic. Vacation is fast approaching and me and my wife start to have our “Ukay-Ukay” business or used clothes from other countries especially coming from the United States. These second hand clothers are still of good quality since most of these are branded and some are still having price tags. Filipinos especially ladies and women love “Ukay-Ukay” because of its low cost and the quality. Ukay originated from Cebuano or Bisaya language which means you are going to mix it with other items or if you are going to cook for some dish, you are going to mix it with other ingredients. That is why it is commonly known as “Ukay-ukay” because these are mixtures of different used clothes placed in a bundles or a certain table for sale and then Filipinos will start to check on these clothes if they will like it or not and then if the clothes are not fit on their body or if they do not like it, they will put the clothes back and mix it with the other items or used clothes.
Christmas day is coming and you can buy these cheap clothes at the same time offer these clothes as a Christmas gift to someone. Prices range from $1 to $2 only for each item and you can ask for a discount if you will buy many clothes or in large volumes. If you have $100 I am sure you will have many items to take home.
Having a sideline business during this pandemic is a big help for us especially we now have our baby. Though we have a permanent job but we still have outstanding loans to pay, that is why when there is an opportunity to have some other ways of income, we will do it. Hardwork is important this time especially for the month of December - too much expenses because of different ocassions. Our barrio fiesta is annualy celebrated on December 28, though people are limited to visit our place and health protocols must be observed, we will display these used clothes in our store. It is an opportunity then to earn not that much but at least with some amounts while having our Christmas vacation.

My mother is in the hospital
My mother is in the hospital now because her sugar level gets high. She is a diabetic person. Before she got admitted to the hospital, as part of their health protocol she was required to have a rapid test. Of course the result was negative after waiting for 20 minutes last night and we immediately paid 1,100 pesos for that test. Only one watcher is allowed to get inside, so we decided that my father will stay with her since I need to go home for my baby. Before she got confined, she had a test on her sugar level and the result was too high 332. Before I went home, I had a short time to visit her private room and fix her personal things first. I know God will heal her and He will provide for our needs especially her medical bills. She has no Philhealth insurance but we can use the Philhealth of my father.

Traditional Baby Cradle
As a baby, sleeping in the morning, noontime and at night is part of the daily routine. Their body needs more rest as they grow up. I just want to share this traditional baby cradle we have which is made of bamboo wood with a blanket or we used “malong”.
My mother who used to babysit our baby is not available today because they consulted a laboratory clinic to have a test on her sugar level. She started to losses some weight and easily gets tired. She had a high sugar level last year. She will have a check up on her kidney and cbc as well. Hoping everything will be fine then. So
This traditional bamboo we used, help our baby to sleep well especially when there are no distractions like loud noises. Even if it is simple and not too costly, having and using this tradional baby cradle will lessen your expenses. I wake up at 4am early this morning. When I browsed my facebook account, I am thankful when I saw the post from cebu pacific page. A peso super seat fest is available when you book online on their website starting today until Saturday December 12. Travel period is from August 1 to November 30, 2021 next year and peso base fare is available to all destinations whether it is a domestic or international flights.
I started to check on their site to see if its true. When I chose a particular month, wow all I saw was a peso amount. I typed on a specific date and thinking of travel dates and place. I searched Ozamiz to Manila and the promo fare is only 396 pesos. It is so affordable.
I also tried to search for a Coron （Busuanga）trip from Cebu since I want to see and have a travel venture in the beautiful island of Coron considering it is one of the well known tourist spots in our country. To my amazement the promo fare is only 626 pesos. I love to travel next year but I am thinking of my daughter who is still 5 months old this time. Is she allowed to travel then？ I was thinking of a different date and persons I can travel with.
I cancelled my first attempt of booking flights to Coron, Palawan and searched for a different route again. I have 2 siblings who are working in Taguig City, Metro Manila and the birthday of my sister is November 20. Knowing that November 30 is a national holiday, so I searched on the site if I can avail the travel promo from November 27 since it is weekend until November 30 from Ozamiz Airport to Manila.
Thanks God the booking online is now confirmed. I used the credit card details of my sister so I can pay my booking transaction here and promised her to oay through my gcash account. I booked for 5 adults （my mother, father, wife, first cousin and me）and two seats for my 2 kids. There is an administrative fee of almost 4,000, aviation security fee and a passenger service charge of 2,100 pesos. The total amount I paid online for 7 persons for departure and arrivel flights is only 6,140 pesos. Wow, I save a lot. It is a one year advance booking and I hope covid 19 will stop by then for us to visit our loved ones.
