**Margarita Island, Venezuela**: Venezuela approved new tax regulation and will take effect on March 27th. The government will tax with 2% - 8% every crypto transaction. Government crypto is exempt. This may impact payments and merchants in the short term due to the additional tax fee. Currently working on onboarding a new local merchant. It’s a huge business that sells food so stay tuned. They are trying to increase the number of onboarded businesses such as taxis and motorbikes. Will be onboarding students at a local university and they will host meetups at the university.
