Living in the dark

What should we say of a king without power or authority? To everyone in his kingdom, he is their leader, who gives out commands to the nation, but only those closer to the king knows that there's a powerful man behind him, who has been the one controlling him. He looks like the king's adviser to everyone but he is capable of doing anything if the king disobeys his so called "advise". The king looks like a fool, who is been controlled by a commoner. Many lives has been lost due to the king's decision over the years. Not that he chooses to be a fool, he is forced to be a fool just to keep his those dear to him save.

Therefore, the king stays in the dark, suppressing every pain and nightmares. He had witnessed many innocent lives wasted in the past that even the late king, his father couldn't control. An unfortunate incidence occured some years ago where the young king's lover was accused wrongly. This landed a lot of people in trouble. The Queen's family were all beheaded, while the King's mother poisoned herself. The King couldn't do anything because it's beyond his power. He only managed to protect his wife who fled from the palace a night before she's to be killed. The King's adviser has the support of all other dignitaries and royal official, any decision made by the king against their order can lead to his dethronement.

This story is a short illustration to explain a situation where one is forced to stay in darkness, the king lives in the midst of deceitful people. Someone who makes himself powerful than the king has it all. Many have been faced with this kind of "giant" bigger and powerful than them all. They are forced to live in silence enduring every pain and torment. They have probably tried to find a way out but it's not helping them. Staying in the dark, has its own disadvantages, it's comes with pressure by some circumstances, what has the world shown you so far, what have you experienced, what have you been living for? All these are circumstances that leads to solitude or loneliness. With no one to trust, no friend to share pains and problems with, they all multiplies and grow into bigger pains and sufferings.

Loneliness and solitude leads to depression. In the midst of betrayals and evil men, there will always be a kind one. While staying in the dark, make a strong decision to speak up no matter what will happen. There's hope, people will come to your rescue, then you discover that there are people who loves and care for you.

To everyone out there who has remained in darkness for so long enduring every pain, torment and sadness. There will always be hope. Someone will notice you and help you out. Silence is not the best solution for depression. In any situation we should fight back and come back to the light.
