A story I would love to share

I read a story sometimes ago, I'm really not sure of the title but it got my attention in a different way. You know sometimes, when reading a story or watching a movie for instance, there is this feeling you have that make you smile sometimes, probably you have had this kind of scenario in your writing before or in a writing you just wanted to start writing.

I like stories with a female leading role especially, I don't just know why but I love it so much. Well, this story is about a young girl who had been maltreated by your brother both physically, sexually and emotionally. The both lost their parents in a car accident. Since then, his brother had changed totally. She would have run away but she had nowhere to go. This girl in particular Kate(not as the name used originally) had a crush on his senior Jason (not used originally) in school. He never knew this guy personally but it was a one sided crush, so to speak.

She got disappointed on the day he met him, he's of a rude and disgusting personality, on her way back to class, Kate run into another guy who was Jason's class mate and she breaks his phone's screen, the phone crashed on the floor. Then, she is forced to work at this guy's house so as to repay the broken phone.

One thing I forgot to say about Kate is that she had a girlfriend, even though they were close, she never revealed any of her predicament to her, she wears hoodies and long sleeved clothes everytime to cover the wounds she had received from her brother's torture. I don't really know why she has to endure all these all alone without telling a single soul, who knows if they might have come to her rescue.

Well, Kate and this new senior, Richard got closer as times goes on. She had helped him out a couple of times. There's this disease he had been nurturing alone all these years, the cure has not yet been found, but there's an antidote he uses all the time, after which he sleeps off, that will relieve him of the pain. Soon he announces his departure to the US, he had seen a doctor who had been carrying out research on his disease and he have to go see him as soon as possible. Kate was so bitter about this, his new found source of happiness has been cut short.

He invited her over to his house for a dinner one last time, suddenly, Ruth fainted, he has to atleast pull off this thick cardigan she always put on for her to gain access to fresh air. Then he sees many wounds on her body, both the necks and the arms, sharp wounds from broken bottles, bruises as a result of hot substance. Richard was shocked, she had been enduring these pains all alone? What could have been happening to her.

As soon as she wakes up, it's already late in the night, she knew she is already in trouble, where will he explain to his brother that she had gone? She begs Richard to take her home immediately giving him no chance to say anything. When she gets home she bidded Richard goodbye and went in. There his brother had been waiting for him, suddenly Richard heard a scream from the inside. He had waited outside after dropping ruth for some moments. On getting inside he met his brother lying in the floor with blood, and ruth crying. She had mistakenly hit his brother with a bottle on the head after he had attempted to hit her again.

Richard took her home and she explained everything that happens from the beginning. Then he told her to follow her abroad, since there nothing left for her here.

Few days passed, they are already planning to go the U.S together, Kate told Richard that she wants to visit her parents grave for the last time. He followed her to the cemetery but she went in alone. Things got complicated. Kate's brother who had been following them followed her to the cemetery with gun in his hands. Kate thought he was dead but he isn't. Richard was smart enough to have called the police, before he gets a chance to cause any further harm he got arrested. However he confessed that he actually was the one behind their parents dead. Kate's parent had adopted him before Kate was born even though he was loved, he felt jealous when Kate was born, he thought that's the best thing to do so he could acquire all their property.

Things are now over, though Kate was pained to have suffered all these years, with her parents death by the one he had called brother all these while. She finally got a chance to start a new life with Richard.

That will be the end of this story.
