Welcome to our world - The real disabled
3rd of January, 2022.
I know Life is full of ups and downs, and that we don't really get what we want sometimes or let me many times. I got mail from a company I applied to for a job two weeks ago. I was and I'm still disappointed with the mail I got back this morning, which, however, has spoiled my mood. I really anticipated getting the job but it is what it is. This is an excerpt from the mail;
Meet my sponsors
Take a deep breath as I welcome you to our world!. When you hear the word ‘disabled,’ you immediately think about those of us who can’t walk or talk or do everything that people take for granted. Now, I take nothing for granted, but I find the real disability in people who can’t find joy in life and are bitter. Disability should simply mean when one is not able, but in the real sense and in our little world, we are still able to give out to the needy from the few we have . A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. Welcome to our world, we are the real heroes.
We are officially disabled, because of our lack of limbs but we are truly enabled . Our unique challenges have opened up unique opportunities to reach so many in need.
Welcome to our world! Permit me to educate you on disability and those who are really the disabled! A disable person isn’t someone without limbs. It’s someone who doesn’t make use of his/her limbs. Hands that don’t come forth to help others are disabled.The eye that’s not happy with seeing others succeed is disabled. Feet that run away, when it’s time to help is disabled.
Today we choose life! Every morning when we wake up, we can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain… To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices – today we choose to feel life, not to deny our humanity but embrace it. These athletes we see or watch on television were not disabled, they were super–abled. The Olympics is where heroes are made. The Paralympics is where heroes come, because we have chosen not to put DIS in our ability! We are highly able! Welcome to our world!
We do not have any disability, we have a gift! People in other worlds may see it as a disability, but we see it as a challenge. This challenge is a gift because we have to become stronger to get around it, and smarter to figure out how to use it. Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn’t mean he lacks vision. A man who lacks the use of his leg doesn’t lack direction. A man who lacks the use of his hand doesn’t lack strength. We do not have a disability but a different ability. Welcome to our world!
You hardly meet a bitter person who is still happy, thankful and supportive. But here in our world, we are happy, thankful and supportive because our world is a unique world. We wouldn’t have learnt how to be happy, thankful, supportive and appreciative if not for the world God has brought us in. Happy because we are not living a disabled world but a super-abled world. The moment we chose hope and happiness in our world, everything became possible. Welcome to our world!
This is so beautiful and really those people are heroes… I agree with you when he feels disappointed and anger it can be very bad our life is a blessing of God and it's short life
