Foundations of Success.

Success isn't something new anymore because everyone of us understand what success means. Success means different thing to each Individual and I don't want to go deep into explaining again. We also have known the tips to success which are patience, perseverance, endurance, hard work, determination and so on.

But this week, I want us to go into another topic which is the Foundations of Success. Yesterday, I was in Church when the Pastor mentioned foundation in the spirit and I got my clue from it to talk about the above title.

What is Foundation? Foundation is a stage, groundwork of something.

Foundation is like something you go through to make a particular thing come into existence. It is like a problem you encounter on your way before finally reaching a full stop. To make success, it doesn't just come to you, there are things you see on the way before you are worth having it.

Let's see these different instances I will be using here before highlighting the Foundations of Success.

BUILDING A HOUSE

Have you seen a house without passing through a stage of building it to become a home? To build a house, it has stages which the architectural and other people involve in it go through. They are;

• Making a sketch of the type of design you want for your home.

• Grading and preparing the site you wish to build the house.

• You lay the foundation by cementing everywhere.

• Framing

• Installing and fixing of the doors and windows.

• Roofing.

• Siding.

• Fixing the electrical appliances and the likes.

You go through stress and pains during this stages and at the end, the house becomes a home and you start to enjoy living in it. This may take many months to achieve.

GIVING BIRTH

The truth is, we were not thrown down from Heaven. Someone gave birth to us. We came into this Earth through some stages. Like a woman who had sex with her husband, at this stage, the sperm from the man matches with the ovum from a female and this process is called "FERTILIZATION". Then it forms the begining of human development in the woman's womb. She carries this pregnancy for nine months. During each month, she experiences pains, she becomes uncomfortable, different symptoms occur and in the ninth month, she goes into labor. She goes through a lot of pains to give birth as they keep telling her to push for the baby to come out. Some women do not have the strength at the end and the only option is to go for CS which she then gives birth to the baby.

The woman has been passing through the Foundations of bringing a human being into the world. Those moments of pain, sleepless nights, vomiting and in the labor room are foundations a woman go through to give birth. Finally she gives birth and starts enjoying taking care of her baby.

HAVING GRADES IN SCHOOL AND GRADUATING

Every student who want to come out in flying colors would pass through the foundation of enrolling in a school, attending classes, having sleepless nights reading, writing tests and exams and at the end of the day, he or she gets a good grade and graduate. Those moment were foundations he or she was undergoing to be the best in his or her studies.

Now, we have explained some instances of foundations of a particular achievement in life. Let's talk about some of the Foundations of Success.

CHALLENGES: In life, nothing is easy as you think. There are problems you will encounter along your way that will hinder your success from coming on time. Those challenges may be lack of money, no one to help or support you, failure in your academics, spiritual attacks etc.

You can never be successful without passing through challenges.

DISAPPOINTMENT: This will always happen. Everyone of us have experienced this in our lives. Either from friends who promised to help us but when you go to them, they mess up and ignore you. Your parents too can be a disappointment in the sense that they have promised to sponsor you and help you in your journey but along the line, something happened and at that time (perhaps death or sickness which took all money), your relatives turned their backs at you.

No Success without being disappointed but remember some disappointment might turn to blessing for you if only you know the right way to take which is calling on God.

DELAY: Some people can delay you of moving forward. They withhold your promotion letter to the next level. Students can be delayed in school when their supervisors are giving them tough time instead of graduating with their colleagues, their results are seized and as a result, they can't move forward and what they need to succeed has already been seized. How do they move forward? This is a delay. You can also be delayed in your place of work.

GENERATIONAL CURSE: This is so happening in this world and only if you could easily detect on time so you can know the right path to take to hijack yourself from those holding you back. This definitely needs a real prayer to stop their activities on the victim.

This is where I will stop for now and I hope I have been able to open your eyes to some Foundations of Success. You will surely encounter some of these if not all on your way to success and when you have conquered all with God's help, you will reap the reward thereafter.

This is a new week and I want us to look into this scripture and understand what you need to do to overcome every Foundations of Success.
