Challenges: Face It Headlong
Challenges!!
They are part of life. Everyone has one challenge at one point in time or the other. At some point in my life, I felt downtrodden by the supposed very big challenges that confronted me. It was not meant to be a thing to run away from but I ran and victory of these challenges was far from me.
In all, I found out that every one would bear his or her name in the end. So, everyone should face their challenges head-long.
During these difficult times, after a fall, I decided never to be down again. The following strategy was how I overcame my challenges.
Planning
It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
Planning is a great strategy for overcoming challenges. Like the dating goes:
Anyone who fails to plan has already planned to fail.
Hence, setting strategy is a good way of overcoming challenges. As a product of nature who must climb mountains, break barriers or jump hurdles to land on success one must plan ahead so that he or she is not unaware.
Like the eagle, gaze far and see a storm approaching, spread your wings in readiness. That way, you become victorious.
You Are Not Alone
Like the Nigerian would say:
Problem no dey finish
With the foregoing, be sure to know that everyone has a challenge in one area of life or the other. The feeling that you are alone with your challenge may not be true. So each time he challenges surfaces, stand tall, face it, give it your all and laugh over it when you turn out victorious.
Seek Help
There is nothing wrong in seeking help. Most times, the solution to the challenge is the experience of someone else, probably a friend or colleague at work.
Seeking help is a step in the right direction to solving life issues.
If the challenge is finance related, one could seek help from finance experts, they have professional wisdom on how to go about the matter.
Accept Support
When people try to come to your aid at such a time, be sure to open up to accept. Human nature may feel reluctant about accepting help from people, but truthfully, there is no problem with accepting help from people who want to help you voluntarily.
Shyness could hinder one from accepting help. At times, one's past experience may not want to accept help.
There is a place to weigh the kind of help. Go ahead with it if it is not detrimental. The help of course should be free without any strings attached.
Positive Mindset
During the moment when that challenge is tougher, be of a positive mindset. Tell yourself positive things. See the good side of the challenge.
Like something to a group of learners who had difficulty studying their books and the changes that came as a result.
Know that there is no success without challenge. In fact, the challenge is like the exam you have to write to get promoted. Take challenges like food that would amount to growth.
Do Not Give Up
Our choices during challenging seasons in life is a great determinant to what comes afterwards. Hence, never for once should an individual accept to give up.
The acceptance alone is an entry into the fiery furnace.
The one who is able to stand after every failure is successful in the making. This one reason we should give up on hope.
Look beyond the hunger now, look ahead and see yourself eating on a platter of gold. That makes your fighting spirit geared up towards the goal that is ahead of you.
Do not give up. Never!
### Smartly Work Hard
I have heard people who try to motivate others telling them to work smart and not work hard. My friends, believe me, hard work is the shortest cut to success.
Do not cut corners, there will be a boomerang if you do.
You can act smartly or rather with positive thoughtfulness by working hard to get expected results.
By smart work, I mean you should be thoughtful and apply your thoughts in reaching your goals. That way, you challenge becomes a mole hill instead of a mountain before you.
Dream Big
Your bug dream may be someone's starting point elsewhere. So, be free to dream and work at it. It may surprise you that your supposed big dream may not be as big as you supposed.
Some years ago, one of my students, from a very poor background, came for counseling. He said he wanted to become a medical doctor but from a very wretched (permit me to say) background. He was so discouraged that this dream of his may not come through because of finance.
I told him there is a way out.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
That was my advice to him.
He went back, laced his shoes and kicked out every stumbling block on his path to achieving this. During his final exams, he scored the best grade in the nation and received a scholarship that would see him through university and postgraduate school.
What a way to record success. Keep doing what you ought to do, the rewards are coming in big time. Consistency is key.
Everyday comes with a challenge. Some greater than yesterday's. Do not be deterred. Keep keeping up and face it headlong.
Life is a challenge, face it.
Life is really challenging but I try not to face a challenge twice, wow thanks for encouraging the students, his gonna get his goals and big dreams
