"Hey, Laurice, are you sure about this? I guess he has the right to know." my colleague and my best friend at work, Odette asked me with apprehension. My heart is crying out for him but I needed to do the right thing. It's now or never.
"I was such an idiot"my simple replied. I was fixing my workstation and I have already submitted my irrevocable resignation from the company for a very apparent reason and I don't want TJ to learn about my real situation. I am carrying his child and I will raise the baby myself, likewise, it would be best to start a new life far from him. Very far. I am going back home to my country.
"In my office, NOW!" my mind was engulfed with my protruding tummy, I wasn't so aware he had dropped by in my area.
"I am sorry sir, but my resignation is irrevocable and I don't have anything to do with the company anymore. Your grandfather had already signed it since yesterday." I tried to look away.
"Don't wait for me to kiss you right here and everyone will see it. Dare me!" using his best teasing expression his scent caught me off guard so I ran quickly to the pantry nearby.
Whoah relieved to know he didn't follow me through so I could make my gentle exit. I managed to call a taxi and went straight to my place. I informed my parents over Skype and they were so elated knowing that I decided to go home however they did not know my real situation.
"I will miss you, my dear, we will keep in touch. I will visit you whenever I have a holiday from the company. I will be the godmother okay? I wish you all the best Laurice." Odette and I bid our goodbyes at the airport that day of my flight.
Time to check in and part of my heart left at Hamad International Airport. I was just roaming around inside a duty-free shopping center when two police officers came to ask me gently.
"Ms. James? one police officer inquired.
"Yes, Mr. Officer?" I ghastly asked
"Please come with us to the office for an investigation!"
I was so scared I did not show it to them because as far as my track record in the country was concerned, I have never violated any laws not until getting pregnant thus going home was the best option. I was just barely on my 4 weeks hence it's still safe to travel, much more it's still wasn't that obvious at all.
"I don't understand, investigation on what?" this time I was really nervous but I tried to keep calm.
"We will discuss it in the office, Ms. James, please follow us."
I followed them with my heart pounding so heavily having no idea what was going on. They directed me to that cozy couch facing a very familiar view on the screen! Much to my surprise, it was the video presentation TJ and I did during that night we worked together.
I was about to turn my back when....
I saw him approaching, looking so manly in his white shirt and old-faded jeans yet adding much charisma instead. I can't be swooning over the mere sight of him. Can I?
I was about to open my mouth and utter a word...when...
"You were a virgin when we had that passionate night back at your place and we didn't use any protection at all, so it would be likely that when you vomited back at the pantry, I figured it out myself though I cornered Odette that day you left the office. Think again if I would let you leave this country without my permission, >>>

Ready to fly to Doha?
I am so tempted to book my two days weekend flight to Qatar and perhaps witness FIFA but then again considering that I merely have two weeks ME-TIME in the Middle East as my escape from boredom in an island living, I might pass for FIFA this year.
Qatar finally won the bidding!
I still remember how we were all so excited to have FIFA be held in Doha. Without a doubt, it would be a blast!

I was not expecting that I would meet Trey after 7 long years. Not in an uncompromising situation such as now. I turned my back, and he held me by my wrist.

"I am engaged now, are you happy? You remembered when I asked you whether you can see yourself with me for the rest of your life, and you told me you were not ready?
I snapped. I hated myself longing even for his nearness.
"You did not give me a chance to explain Laurice! You concluded everything." Shock can be shown all over his face.
"It's too late Trey, We had that ONE CHANCE together, It has been over 7 years ago." I will not forgive myself if he will see how hurt I am and still hurting
Do you love him?" he asked with determination.
Yes!" I answered with vehemence.
"Liar!" and he kissed me passionately. AGAIN.....
"How dare............" I tried to fight back and his hands continued exploring. The passion was undeniably intensified when I said, "Kiss me more, please!

Indeed when you are so stressed out either work or business-related, the best thing you can do when you are in Mahe is to spend your day relaxing on the beach!
The sand and the sound of the waves were so calming to the nerves!

Apart from Stocks, cryptos, and many other forms of investments, I believed Real Estate is one of the greatest one can achieve!
Just had a productive zoom with Legacy Leisures Property Manager and the main thing which I like about the project is their Tourism aspect!
I have been travelling overseas and my main consideration on the hotels (Middle East) while guest house (Mauritius) are the #AMENITIES!👍

Well in the context of travelling, this is by far my most favourable event! when my goal was to upgrade to Genius Level 3 for my hotel stays, it was quite amusing and challenging because the hotels had different vibes but one most common denominator I have observed was the interior design of each room...
By far #Grand Excelsior, Royal Suite was awesome even if it's 4 stars compared to Asiana which was 5 stars!
Well in the next months coming since the holidays are kicking, I will definitely be unpacking and packing up my luggage again!
The truth of the matter is that TRAVELLING is my way of therapy! Working in the state school in Seychelles needs more overseas exposure lmao! It is indeed so therapeutic to have my ME-TIME overseas apart from our AFT (Annual Family Travel)

Sage officially started school at 3!
The first week was all about adjustments and crying!
Here in Seychelles at 3, kids are already joining school! We enrolled Sage at International School Seychelles because of so many reasons that as a teacher myself, I can not allow him to be in a state school!
Incurred expenses would reach 12435 SCR per term multiplied by three which is 37305 annual (146,874k PHP)!
State School is FREE but for my peace of mind, I'd rather spend my salary on my baby's education, especially on his #FORMATIVE YEARS!
During our Parents' orientation, the home class teacher accompanied by their TAs assured us that our babies will be taken care of properly!
lol! on the third day, they called to inform me that Sage had been brought to the clinic as he had a mild incident during their playtime🤦🏻♀️😅the Nurse took him well!
Their home class was very conducive for learning too! considering that Sage adored Dinosaurs, as soon as he reached home, TRICERATOPS were all he remembered!

Highlights of our Hotel Stays!
Genius Level 3 is my GOAL that's why I opted for bookingdotcom! I managed to save 278.97 Euros so far! grateful that with the expenses I've made for hotel stays, I truly appreciate the UPGRADES!
so far #GrandExcelsior Hotel in the Deira area, AL Muteena street was by far the most amazing upgrade. Nothing to contest with the upgrades I had from Radisson Blu and Crowne Plaza Hotel but the ambience even with a 4-star hotel like Grand Excelsior was just so awesome.
The interior design was indeed grand at Royal Suite!
on the other hand...
Sage enjoyed the Poolside at Hampton by Hilton Hotel despite the 45degrees heat! also, their free/complimentary breakfast was superb!
and of course!
Asiana Hotel with its close proximity to everything! walking distance to nearby shops so you can save from taxi fare or even renting a car was not a necessity!
Our travel to the Middle East is another adventure that I would always consider a life-changing experience. My goal to level up for my Genius Level 3 at bookingdotcom was what I am looking forward to and a lifetime discount on all of my trips and hotel bookings as well! such generosity! Travala would be my next goal!
Anyhow...
Given the opportunity to travel even pre and post-pandemic, I am so grateful, so blessed and I thank God for manifesting abundance into my life.
By the way, Sage had his "halohalo" for the first and he just loved it so everytime we go to the Filipino restaurants in Deira, we would always have "halohalo".

AFT (Annual Family Travel) Visit Dubai in August 2022!
I have tried my best to focus on our 15 days in the Middle East again this year after our Mauritius holiday last April so I could emerge how insane Dubai lifestyle for ex-pats (working and non-working much more with tourists around)
We arrived with an excruciating heat of 43 degrees and Sage was literally blushing, sweating, crying, and having tantrums as soon as we landed at Dubai International airport. Jeez, it was too hot! ROasting I would say...
But of course, I am so used to it! I have learned so many things in Dubai despite the 15 days of roaming, eating, walking, spending, shopping, burning money for the sake of holiday lol!
(Well I would advise you, to calculate your expenses and stick to them)
I booked our hotels in the Deira area, where it would take only 20-25 minutes depending on the traffic going to the airport! Later did I realize that most of my friends who were working there for nearly 10 years were so accustomed to sleeping until 1 in the morning and off to work at 7 or 8? Nah I had it for three years back in Doha, Qatar and I ended up having vertigo!
Spending money was always the trend as well! On our second day, burning 872AED- 3198SCR-240Euro/USD was just crazy! lol!
All Set for Dubai next week!
Travelling is a form of education where you can experience real life emersion of one's culture.
Middle East so far becomes my home due to my three years work experience and I wanted my three year old toddler to see how HOT it is at this juncture!
He needs to experience as well a diverse lifestyle because Seychelles is not the only paradise!
I made it a point to go out of the country when my school holiday kicks in!The only time I can truly relax and unwind!

Magical or Economical Book? suited for toddlers and my three years old!
At 3 years Sage's writing skills can be enhanced should the materials be exciting much more if it's not routinary writing with a pen and paper stuff!
I purchased this magical book online and at once when Sage set his eyes on it, for the whole duration of our trip, he couldn't wait to reach home so he can use it right away!
Why it's called magical?
well, it doesn't use ink but WATER!
not only magical rather I would say it's economical!
the robots and the outer space drawing add an impact to the book!
so, mommies who wanted to give this as a gift, it's actually inexpensive!
Beach Day in Mahe on a Saturday!
It's how we spent our Saturday after "playing" on the slides at the playground. Sage's hit himself while running around but he didn't cry at all and told me he's a big boy and big boys are superheroes! They don't cry!
We told him that after the slides, we would have a lunch date at the beach where he's so excited to play sand castle. In his imagination, he's building a skyscraper. Although all those things were not feasible due to a lack of materials. We actually didn't plan to go to the beach it was an unplanned visit, yet we ended up hanging around for more than 8 hours!
My point?
despite our busy schedule at work we always make it a point to bring our baby out for his playtime. Seeing him running, sweating and even hitting himself on the slide made us more confident that he can deal with whatever obstacles he will meet along the way.
Playtime is so precious for his age and the beachside became his happy place as well. Have I mentioned a long time back that Sage got so scared with the waves?
My friends were just realistic, stating the fact that it's very rare to find what I was looking for in the middle of nowhere however my gut feeling, my instinct and by far my faith told me otherwise.
Deep inside my heart, I knew that it was somewhere along the way. It was such a surreal feeling that I kept holding on to it. Despite my friends making fun of what I believed in, I simply told them, that I knew I would find it. It might not be there exactly at the place I thought it would be, but I knew I would find it!!!

The weather is not good here in Seychelles as it has been raining and it's chilly!
My throat has been affected and I can hardly talk!
The irony being a teacher since it's our weapon to work so I decided to go to the nearby clinic and the doctor has given me sick leave*
plus these medications for a tiny fee of 25rupees!
It was actually free before but now you have to pay if you're a working citizen yet Free if you're pregnant, free for babies and for senior citizens! I also did my Rapid Test and thank God it's negative!
