September Read.Cash Report - 0.73BCH Grand Total ($368.20)

I didn’t create monthly reports all this time, but I always approved them and also think it can be a sign not just for our improvement as writers, but as an indication of how the entire market is performing.

I don’t have monthly stats yet for previous months, although I am planning to record them too and make comparisons. I’ve been in crypto since 2017 and a clear indicator of how the market was performing was traffic on crypto websites. The platforms, websites, chat rooms I was visiting since 2017 became desolate places in 2018 when the bear market started. Losses from our investments were significant and made many abandon all hope in crypto. 90% exited the market and the 10% that was left behind were eventually paid for their constant support. For September, I found my articles having good traffic, and while the tips didn’t reach the previous months, it was still significant and gave me hope for the future.

My Report For September In total, my 27 articles in September were rewarded with $519, which is about 1BCH. The 1BCH is a rough estimate though since I calculated the total rewards in USD and divided them with the average price of $500 for September. However, the “net profit”, (meaning: total subtracting expenses) was $368.20. This is how much ended in my wallet, which can be calculated to ~0,73BCH. Expenses in September reached $152.28. These expenses are tips given to other authors of Read.Cash, BCH used to boost my articles, and the 10% fee paid from each reward. I find transparency to be helping everyone understand how this process works and perhaps clear some doubts some people have and question me about very often.

Monthly Report and Total Rewards

On average, my articles received about **25 likes** each and **155 views**. Also, my posts on average were rewarded by $19 in tips, which was above what I expected. Boosts are expenses and I calculated them from the “my boosts“ menu. Although, it gives a daily estimate, while sometimes I wasn’t boosting my articles for 24 hours, but less. I estimated the cost for boosting is lower than $34,70 and reduced the number to $30, which I think is more closer to the actual expense I paid in September. I tipped (rewarded) other authors with ~$70 this month. Used to be higher previously but I hope to keep supporting the rest Read.Cash community with this level as a minimum.

This is about the average I will keep tipping in the next month too, probably a little more. It gets **close to 20% of the tips I receive** that I gave back to other content creators in Read.Cash last month. There are many wonderful writers in Read.Cash and tips always give an enormous boost in confidence. I follow and read as many articles, a tip always means I’ve read most from the post. It is something that I happily do and always try to read all the content from the article I tip. I am always on the top ten tippers monthly list for many months now and getting closer to reach the top all-time tippers in the following two months. The sponsorship payments were a few dollars for this month and I didn't calculate them. Next month there will be some that are ending, so perhaps I will try to adjust and keep track, although this comes at a small cost for the time being.

Expenses and Net profit:

In total **0,736 BCH** was the net profit from my 27 articles written on Read.Cash for the previous month. In USD this is **$368.20** and in euro **€314.70**. This is mostly coming from **Read.Cash** tips, funded by **Marc De Mesel**, let's not forget to thank them with this opportunity. These are the totals from my Read.Cash adventure for September. I would say it is not bad at all. I guess it is not far from the top reward earners in September, with a few exceptions. I don't have a clear picture yet of how the rest writers performed, though.

In Conclusion I will begin calculating income from all the websites I use, something I wasn’t doing so far. Income from my online writing activities is not enough to cover the cost of living in any Western country. It helps, but not as much as some suspect. I’m not making a living being a writer. I have other sources of income since I wouldn’t be able to sustain my cost of living this way alone. The rest platforms I use did not perform well this month except Noise.Cash. **Medium**, used to pay $150 but it will be way less for September. **Hive** had not been profitable at all, after many months of using it. It is about buying more of its coins and holding in your wallet for months to increase hive power. I don't like this at all, since **content comes secondary** and Hive Power is what matters most. I made about 160 Hive and 20 Hive Dollars for the four months I use it, which is a depressive number of about $30 per month. **Noise.Cash rewards, though, had been exciting this month**. In a very rough estimate, the tips reach **$200**, maybe even higher. I have not been able to find an easy way to calculate, perhaps I will need to go through all my noises and add all the tips I received one by one. It will be time-consuming so maybe I should have a fresh approach, by adding a Noise.Cash new wallet and finding the result at the end of the month. I have now connected my Read.Cash wallet on Noise.Cash and it gets very difficult to calculate this way. I have also been sending tips from QR-code and the embedded wallet daily, and this will be only roughly estimated, but it is less than a dollar daily. I work towards increasing the views in my posts and have looked into **SEO and keywords**, but I don’t feel this is an honest approach. The Google algorithms constantly change, and often it finds and excludes those that try to exploit it. I’m not interested in trying to exploit an algorithm, **I find more important the increase in content quality**. I wasn’t recording the data from my posts and I feel now this was a mistake since I could have reached some better conclusions by analyzing and comparing monthly charts. I plan to do that for all the platforms I publish at, and perhaps find the time to record my previous months as well. This data can give us a sign of where we are heading.
