However, the difficult part now begins, which also requires decisions.

Every day is a new race on X as everyone tries to get posts to go viral.

The system we presented in previous articles can work, still after achieving 5 million impressions, the revenue from ad sharing is difficult to calculate (probably won’t be significant either in the beginning).

I reached my goal within just days after focusing on the task.

One of the targets I set now is having at least 100k daily impressions (views) on my posts and comments, with an aim to increase it to 200k (on average).

I achieved five million impressions and entered the ad revenue-sharing program.

Or at least that’s what I think.

It can easily not be, though, as I still don’t see ads on my account and posts.

What’s there to share from ad revenue when no ads are shown in our posts even when they reach 100k views?

For the time being, like everyone else, I try to find ways to maximize impressions.

Top Helpful Tips

Here is a selection of new and old helpful tips to increase X impressions.

1. Do Not Post Links

X will immediately suppress link redirecting to another website.

As we can see from the image above, even though my post has many likes and retweets, almost nobody (but my followers with notifications on) found it on X.

It was buried at the end of the comments of Musk’s post because it contains a link.

We can, however, share Twitter links (the URL is still Twitter…).

The only links the algorithm does not suppress are our Twitter links, so feel free to use X links as comments.

2. Add A Reply On Your Replies

If you don’t, others will, and they will grab impressions from your content.

If the initial comment is receiving a high number of views quickly, the second one will likely also generate notable impressions.

3. Don’t Like Your Own Posts

Using that tactic is ineffective and may give the impression that you are desperate to increase your numbers.

Nobody likes their own posts (on X).

If a post did well in views, it might be wise to re-post it after some time.

Our followers will see the notification that perhaps they missed previously.

5. Bookmark Your Posts And Comments

Nobody can view who bookmarked a post.

While the algorithm probably does not care about bookmarks, it is still an action we can take that costs nothing.

6. Use Memes, They Work

Not every post can go viral, but comments on top accounts can.

Having a portfolio of memes available and sharing in comments them appropriately about the original post will sometimes work.

This one counts for more than 10% of my total impressions in the last month!

The more premium members like our comment, the better it will be placed on X below the original post.

7. Create Your Own Video Content And Images

Creators will get most of the ad revenue on X.

Still, it could be great to advertise your content by perfectly timing a relevant comment on a post by a top account.

This one got me an additional 71k views so far, which was also added to my original post:

Reposting in a comment is actually free advertisement.

When the opportunity appears, try advertising your content this way.

It may not always succeed, but when it does, it will boost your content on X significantly.

8. Share Non-Copyrighted Images And Videos

It’s best to avoid sharing videos, images, or any content if you’re unsure whether it crosses any legal boundaries. Posting copyrighted material could result in a copyright strike or even the suspension of accounts.

I recently shared a video in a comment on a post made by a popular account. The post was inquiring if we had any knowledge about the Russian Novaya Zemlya islands.

The video is non-copyrighted. It was released to the public years ago by a Russian administration.

This video is not my content (of course), but public domain.

I had the video already on my drive, and I knew about the story of the Tsar Bomba. The result is 18k views and counting.

9. Respect Copyright

Again, I have to begin with a warning about copyright.

If you are unsure about the appropriate way to handle copyrighted material, it is best to refrain from using it.

X is not as strict as YouTube, but still, the use of copyrighted material can lead to an account suspension.

Using copyright and royalty-free videos can work well sometimes.

I create video content using free templates, non-copyrighted music, and AI voiceover and sometimes repost videos from the public domain. Sure, I can’t tell if all content is entirely copyright-free or not, as nobody can. However, there are thin lines I try not to cross (movies, copyrighted music), and I use the work of others only when I am certain they won’t mind or after asking them first.

View time (in minutes) also matters for our videos and all posts, although this stat is not visible to users.
