It is raining again, gosh, why do I feel down when it rains. Anyway, I am having coffee with my husband earlier today. We had a good talk while were having breakfast. We talked about our current financial situations and the solutions we could do.
Then we suddenly talked about our days as a child on rainy days. He told me that before, their family was very known in their streets because of how well off they were. My father-in-law was working in Kuwait at that time. So most likely they can have whatever they want and eat what they want. He used to have this remote-controlled boat, according to him, it was a bit pricey because his father bought it in Kuwait and sent it to them. So as a child, he would show it off to his friends. So one time, it was raining, so they decided to play in the riverbanks just at the back of their house. So he brought his remote-controlled boat for them to play. But one of his friends suddenly slipped from the rock while trying to reach his toy. The boy has swept away with the current and they chased him while crying for help. They were all crying while chasing their friend. Luckily, one adult heard them and helped the boy. His friend almost died that day, and after that incident, they were forbidden to play in the riverbanks. He also lost his remote-controlled boat and his mother got so mad because it is "imported".
It was my first time hearing that story. He was not that very talkative about his childhood days so I feel happy about it.
I also shared one of my childhood days with rains with him. Well, most of my memories were all happy, I guess I had a happy childhood. One of them was playing with my friends in the heavy rain. We call the game " G.I JOE", I can't remember where we got that name but anyway, it's like a "habul habulan" game, lol! The guys would try to catch us one by one and held us captive until we all get caught. We love playing it on rainy days. I enjoyed playing that game before. I was 15 years old at that time and one of the guys was my crush so you know, I liked it when he chased me, enebe!
Having small talk, reminiscing, is one of the things that I love doing with my husband. I guess he was also affected by the rain. What is with rain and memories anyway?
Then, while I was about to clean up the table, these two cuties seem to want me to capture their sweet lovey-dovey moment so I grab my phone and took a snap! Cuties, right?
I don't know why I end up writing this article but I just suddenly have the urge to write. So this is it, it's like the impromptu article. I hope we all have a great Tuesday! Let's choose to be happy!
