Halo-halo and Vote-buying Summer is finally here!!! Good day, lovelies! A very hot Thursday here in the Philippines. PAGASA officially declared summer. Gosh, no wonder this heat is already unbearable. Those who have air conditioning installed in their homes are extremely fortunate! And most people are already planning their summer outings. While here I am, stuck in our house, lol! We will probably have one too, the summer getaway, but we have to work on that first. I was supposed to continue decluttering today, but because I slept late last night (blame it all on Korean drama), my body was worn out and was begging for sleep after doing my morning chores. That's why, after lunch, I went back to bed and slept for two hours. While I was writing this, I felt totally charged. It could have been better if I had halo-halo while hustling in the virtual world.

Just imagine the creaminess, sweetness, and crushed ice combined in every spoonful of it. Man, it makes my mouth water! I would say halo-halo is the official food for summer! Okay, let's move on with the halo-halo and I have some chika for you. So this morning, while I was cleaning our front yard, one of the "leaders" in every election approached me. I know her by face but can't actually remember her name. So, she was like, *"Oy gah, pila kamo ka botante sa inyo balay?"* (How many people vote in your house?) I was surprised because out of nowhere, she asked me that, but I still politely answered her, *"3 kami Nang, ako, ang bata ko kag bana ko."* (three; me, my daughter, and my husband.)

I told her that I was still undecided on who to vote for and then she said that I should vote for this and that and that she would include our entire family on the **"list"**. Vote buying is so rampant here. You can have an envelope left and right, from both parties or from every candidate that is running. You can see people cramming into the "leaders" houses to get their "envelope", and sometimes it will be delivered into your homes. And no one is being reported or arrested for vote-buying. I guess not even our government can stop it from happening. We can't really blame the people if they accept the money. Honestly, I accept it too, but I still vote for whomever my heart desires. I remember the presidential election when FPJ ran for the presidency. I got 2 thousand pesos from both parties, 1 thousand pesos each. I wonder how much it will be this time, Charot! Anyhow, I am not saying that vote-buying is good. But since not even the government can stop it from happening, why not accept it and vote from the heart? Vote for who you think is best for the position and least corrupt. Yes, less corrupt because, as we all know, they are all corrupt in one way or another. **How about you, what are your thoughts in vote buying? Samin ate hindi pede ang votebuying especially sa religion namin. Sa religion namin, dapat iisa lang kami ng ivovote hehe actually maraming verse sa Bible kasi yon kaya sumusunod na lang kami. Naalala ko tuloy ate yung nasa Valezuela kami, hindi sila nagvovote buying pero nananalo pa rin at ang ganda nung mga projects nila di tulad sa probinsya bulok haha.
