What are skin conditions?

Skin disorders and diseases that happen to the skin of a person, and may cause inflammation, rashes or other issues to the skin. Skin conditions can be genetic and will result in a bad skin. Some of the conditions include:

1 - Wart

Wart is a skin disease caused by Human papillomavirus, a virus that comes in different types, the virus is also called HPV. This skin condition is contagious and anyone with this disease should stay away from contacting people around him to not pass the virus. This issue can be found in mucous membranes as well as skin.

Treatments for this disease include salicylic acid medications, laser treatment or other types of available medical care.

2 - Impetigo

Is a skin condition that comes from a bacterial infection, and poor hygiene will surely make this disease even worst. This is commonly known to affect children and less likely adults.

Treatment for this skin condition includes applying antibiotics on the sores or taking them orally.

3 - Melasma

A skin condition that causes dark patches on the face, and maybe other parts of the body, and is mostly common for pregnant women and is not dangerous.

Treatment includes patience. This skin condition should go alone with time or may be permanent.

4 - Keratosis pilaris

Which is a skin condition that is not dangerous and appear on the arms or legs and will make the skin look red and rough.

Treatment of this skin disorder is patience, and it will disappear alone with time.

5 - Chickenpox

Chickenpox is a skin condition that appears as red and itchy patterns and is combined with fever, sore throat and other conditions. It is also contagious but not for long, as the blisters form a hard layer the skin condition stops being contagious.

Treatment are not available for this disease but taking paracetamol can help reducing fever and other medication that can reduce itching in the body for a better relief.

6 - Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a skin disorder that removes pigmentation from the skin and can cause grey hair in the patient. This skin condition is not dangerous and will make a person look black & white at the same time.

Treatment, well the is no cure and the cure is not needed anyways, as it's not an actual skin disease, rather a cool one.

7 - Melanoma

This is a dangerous skin disease that relates to skin cancer. It resembles a dark colored mole on the skin with irregular shapes, and is multicolored.

Treatment for this disease includes surgery.

8 - Lupus

Lupus is a skin condition that appears as rashes that basically do not itch which are somehow red colored. This condition is dangerous and can cause kidney failure and damage, along with other health symptoms including death.

Treatments include NSAIDs drugs, anti-malarial medications and other.

9 - Cellulitis

This is a serious skin condition which is caused by fungi or bacteria entering the skin through a cut, and is painful for the patient. It is red colored and makes the skin swollen. It also gives the person fever.

Treatment for this disease includes taking antibiotics after checking with the doctor.

10 - Eczema

This skin condition shows up as scaly patches on the skin and can be itchy, also can cause hair loss in the particular area where it appears.

Treatments for this skin disease include applying anti itch cream on the affected place, moisturizing the skin and other.

There are many other types of skin conditions which I will state some of them in the list without actual detailing, and they include:

  • Psoriasis -  Itchy patches on the skin

  • Basal cell carcinoma - A skin condition that resembles a scar

  • Contact dermatitis - Skin condition which appears after contacting an allergen

  • Seborrheic eczema - Scaly patches

  • Ringworm - Which appears as rashes in circular shapes

Conclusion, some skin disorders are dangerous while others are not, and any patches that appear on a person's skin which raises awareness should be checked on with the doctor.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day friends.
