PROMPTS: accept draw frustrate low flustering clown summer butter

RANDOM DIALOGUE: "Tell me what you saw, for her sake!"

*************************

Zoe had been in many compromising situations, but this had to be an all-time low for her. She had vowed never to ask help from this man again, but life sure knew how to force people to break vows.

"Tell me what you saw, for her sake!" Zoe pleaded as he smiled. He really enjoyed her flustering.

"Oh please don't play the compassionate game; we both now that's not you. And I didn't see anything actually, but I might know a thing or two."

"Then tell me..."

"Of course the information isn't for free. Given how important the information is to you, the risk I'm taking by disclosing it, and the state of our past relationship, this information might cost you quite the fortune."

"Tony! A fortune? I can't accept th..."

"I'm sure you can. It's a token to me; it's you that might consider it a fortune" he said, smiling like a clown. From experience, Zoe knew that whenever he had that smile on, his requests were usually serious.

"Man, do you frustrate me!" Zoe said, conceding. "What is it?"

"Good to see you've changed your mind. You see, we have some common information interests. I need some information on your 'partner', Derek. I have some unfinished business with him."

Derek was boxed in, basically waiting for either of the two to come in and either put a bullet in his brain or break his bones. It would take a miracle -he couldn't really hope for that - or a really smart move when he got it.

He looked in the corner, and it was still there.

Camille kept her gun raised as she continued steadily towards the nexus of her ad Sven's path. He was combing through the room, and would soon either find the rat in hiding or come out.

He wasn't behind the couch or the bookshelf. She continued towards he little passage. Sven came out and nodded sideways. That meant he had to be in the kitchen. She smiled; this was going to have a picture perfect ending. As Sven met her at the front of the kitchen, she reached to open the door, imagining the detective on his knees, having wet his pants...

There was a sudden splash of unusually cool liquid all over her body, followed by a searing hot pain.

Derek stood in the doorway, watching as the two writhed in pain on the ground. They were certainly not feeling the warm summer heat.

Who knew sulfuric acid burns were so painful? Apparently they did now. He could literally see bits of their skin melt away like butter as he grabbed the nozzle and gave the writhing mess on the floor another generous spray for good measure. The writhing intensified, with screams of pain from the both.

He quickly grabbed the lady's gun and dashed out, debating whether to finish them off or call the police. He decided against the former, dialing the police department as he waiting on his driveway.

This had to draw the line for him. He was dealing with something much bigger than him, or any other officer in the precinct.
